Why do women have to blab? ...I know Jude is a rat...but, c'mon! Jude, you were supposed to pay her to keep her ass quiet! Man, I guess her asking price was too damn high!

I'm looking forward to the marriage! I really am! Here's a commentary by TheSuperficial.com... I'd be pretty annoyed too if a supermodel who weighs roughly 85 lbs beat the crap out of me. Their diet of water and extra-strength laxatives makes their bones like paper and their muscles like pudding. Sure they're dirty fighters, but one solid punch should pretty much kill them.

From Avanova.com... Pete & Kate Have Scrap On A Train The Pete Doherty and Kate Moss saga rumbles on with news of a fight in front of shocked commuters on a Eurostar train, reports The Sun. The latest sorry tale of the most rock 'n' roll couple on the planet emerged after Pete was forced to cancel a potentially massive gig with Oasis. Fiery Kate and junkie Pete had it out on the train after he accused her of seeing the father of her child, Jefferson Hack. They were racing back from Paris to get to the gig in Southampton on Wednesday night when it all kicked off. The paper claims Peter had cuts all over him and his shirt was ripped. He sat down with another traveller and began babbling. The passenger told The Sun: "Pete showed me red marks on his hands that he said had been caused in the scrap. "He was accusing Kate of being a psychopath and complaining that she was back with Jefferson. "He looked pretty annoyed." Jefferson attended a party the couple were at in Paris on Tuesday when Pete first got paranoid. Pete had admitted at the weekend he went to the Live 8 gig - where he performed with Sir Elton John - on his own after another row with Kate. The happy couple are hoping to tie the knot later this summer in Ibiza...

Yeah, good point. We do have to listen to people/friends not within the relationship...and know our friends do have our best interest in mind. On the flip side, is how many of her judgemental friends have seen the inside of a jail or had drug abuse problems? I think Sadie(ex-mrs. jude law) was an ex-alcoholic? I don't always agree with people my friends married...but I was right in front to offer support and watch the train wreck...am I wrong?

From hivandhepatitis.com...Bill Gates Gives $100 Million to Fight AIDS in IndiaMicrosoft Corp Chairman Bill Gates announced on Monday a $100 million grant to battle HIV/AIDS in India, which has the world's second largest number of victims of the deadly disease. The announcement came at the start of a four-day visit by Gates to India. The donation was the largest single-country grant by his charity, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, a foundation spokeswoman told Reuters.A foundation statement said the India AIDS Initiative would work to provide mobile populations better access to proven HIV-prevention interventions. The drive would target truck drivers and migrant labourers, among others, who are seen as vulnerable to HIV infection.India has four million HIV-positive cases, the highest after South Africa. Some reports estimate the number of people afflicted in India could reach 20 million by 2010.Some 20% of Microsoft's engineers are of Indian origin and Gates said in a recent interview that the company took a special interest in the country for that reason.Earlier, Gates met patients with HIV/AIDS at Naz Foundation, an Indian volunteer group working to heighten awareness about the disease.Gates, the richest man in the world, whose company dominates the personal computer software market, will also meet Indian leaders, business people and technology experts during the four-day trip.A government spokesman said Gates met Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and briefed him about his charity's efforts to spread AIDS awareness in India.Vajpayee assured Gates the government would cooperate with the charity in its programmes, the spokesman said.Microsoft has a software centre in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad, one of the few outside the United States.Gates is due to meet Indian President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, who is keen to harness software for use by India's masses.11/13/02

Funny you say that...Bill Gates has donated the largest cash donation ever to combat AIDS...but what more has he done in the interest of peace? Ted Turner has pledged a Billion to the UN...But I don't think TT will be sitting at any peace table anytime soon...LOL!

You're right we could go and on...Both our opinions will still differ. I just don't see how she did more on a global scale than Geldof did...he raised hundreds of millions, and took european nations to task for the debt of Africa......and oprah has used her own money for causes in the US, Asia, and Africa. I think Oprah will no doubt be nominated someday in the future...when she has done much more. She's not there, yet... I think the main sticking factor...is she has an american audience that she was to walk a straight line with...Once she breaks free of it...then maybe she can broker peace agreements...call government(s) to task for the world's poverty.

Well uhhh, excuse me...not a Bob Geldof fan...but he has done more. When oprah raises money and attention to the epidemic in Africa...let me know. Supposedly Live Aid in '85 raised around 100 million for famine(don't know how much it helped). From CNN.Com...MP nominates Geldof for NobelWednesday, July 6, 2005 Posted: 1332 GMT (2132 HKT) Geldof organized the recent Live 8 concerts to raise awareness about poverty in Africa.SPECIAL REPORT OSLO, Norway (Reuters) -- A Norwegian member of parliament nominated Irish rocker and charity champion Bob Geldof on Wednesday for the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize for his work to help poor nations. The peace prize is awarded annually by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. Those qualified to nominate candidates include members of national parliaments around the world. The nomination came as leaders of the Group of Eight rich nations gathered in Scotland to discuss aid for Africa under pressure from the debt-relief movement that Geldof has fronted. His Live 8 concerts have aimed to convince the G8 leaders to double aid, cancel debt and deliver trade justice for Africa."Bob Geldof took the initiative in July 2005 to arrange a string of rock concerts to focus on the problems of poor nations, and pressure the world's leading politicians to take actions in fighting poverty," Member of Parliament Jan Simonsen said in a statement. The nomination was for the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize as the deadline for nominations for the 2005 award passed on February 1.Geldof became a star with the Boomtown Rats before engaging in charity rock movement Band Aid 20 years ago. His Live 8 project, watched by 1.5 billion people, has raised $100 million for Africa's starving.

I would have to agree with you T. Although I do have mixed feelings on Arafat...(He pocketed a lot of US aid and money meant for the Palestinian people, might have hindered peace with Israel)What has Oprah done in the name of world peace? Give away cars? Blessed us all with the Dr. Phil show? Helped book sales and the stock market? Don't get me wrong, I think she has the capacity...but she definitely would need to do much more on a global scale....besides being a philanthropist and discriminated shopper!

This is totally a Chappelle Show/Chris Rock Show skit waiting to happen....A group of people picketing outside a Hermes store, with signs that say, NO OPRAH...NO PEACE! Now, I'm one for equal rights(see the Gay Marriage postings)...And battling Karl Rove and the forces of Darkness......but I can't really get on board the Racism Hermes Oprah....Train. I'm sure they would've re-opened for Britney or Lindsay or Paris...But I would've had a smirk on my face if the doors had closed on them as well. Do I really care? That means they couldn't get a $20,000 bag that evening. Maybe someone was trying to tell Oprah to save her money? Or spend it on something more worthwhile, like hunger, tsunami victims, families of troops donations or something? But a gift for Tina Turner? Is Tina broke? Oprah would've gotten more sympathy if she was stopped by the police, followed around a store by security guards, declined housing...then we march!

From IMDB.COM... 'Star Trek' To Return -- In Two or Three Years Star Trek producer Rick Berman plans to revive the movie franchise in two or three years. "I think that timeframe for a new, fresh feature with a whole different outlook would be fine," he told the British Star Trek Magazine. He also suggested that the Star Trek television productions might be revived. "[it] certainly would be possible," he told the magazine. "And the answer is that the powers that be at Paramount seem to feel that the time has come to give things a rest." Ohhh..man...I would've had faith if he said he will make a GOOD Star Trek movie franchise, or turn it over to someone else.

    Joan and Melissa Rivers

I don't know...Joan Rivers not knowing the names of stars is pretty damn funny. I loved when she didn't know who Russell Crowe was...The look on his face was priceless. She's catty but at least, she ain't a suck-up like the U.S.S. Star Jones.Get rid of Star and her talking about her wedding and big gay Al...IMHO!

    Teri Hatcher

From Pagesix.com...SIZE apparently doesn't matter for Desperate Housewife Teri Hatcher. The man-eating actress was spotted smooching shortish fashion photographer Jim Macari at Cain just last week — and now comes word that she was "full-on making out" with 7-foot-tall former NBA star John Salley at L.A. nightclub Chi. A spywitness tells PAGE SIX that Hatcher and the gigantic co-host of Fox Sports Net's "Best Damn Sports Show, Period!" strolled into the Justin Timberlake-owned hotspot Monday night together and settled in a back booth with some friends. After partaking from a bottle of Grey Goose vodka on the table, Hatcher and Salley took a spin on the dance floor to — we kid you not — Beyonce's "Crazy in Love," at which point Salley proceeded to score a slam dunk with one of TV's sexiest babes. "They were full-on making out," says our spy. "They were kissing while they were dancing right in front of everyone." The head-turning twosome apparently met earlier that night at a Cartier-sponsored benefit for Project A.L.S. that also drew Lindsay Lohan, Tori Spelling, Matt Dillon, Kristin Davis and Marisa Tomei. The Brooklyn-born Salley, a notorious smooth talker who won the "Best Interview in the NBA" award from the Associated Press three times, is the only player in league history to win championships with three different teams. He triumphed with the Detroit Pistons in 1989 and 1990, the Chicago Bulls in 1996 and the Los Angeles Lakers in 2000. In addition to co-hosting "Best Damn," Salley has dabbled in acting, appearing in "Bad Boys" and "Bad Boys II" and has lately been trying to produce black independent films. Despite her recent make-out sessions in nightclubs, the 40-year-old Hatcher revealed that she's looking for more than just amorous action these days. "I feel like I'm too old to just have sex," she told InStyle magazine. "I mean, I want to have sex, but with somebody who really loves and gets me." Reps for Hatcher and Salley did not return calls last night.

I totally agree...this dude is like Darth Vader to the franchise. Rules it with an iron fist...this is why the franchise has gotten stale. He needs to go ahead and make a Starfleet academy series and stop farting around. Scratch that...he needs to designate someone to make a new series. With new writers, directors and hot young cast...

    Star Jones

From NYDailynews.com...Time to fill herPayless pumps We offer red carpet replacements for E!'s fallen Star By JAWN MURRAY Is it time for someone else to take Star Jones' place on the red carpet? How about Janice Dickinson as an Oscar reporter? Or Kathie Lee Gifford? The Oscar folks have put out a Help Wanted sign to find a host for next year's Academy Awards and the candidates already include Jay Leno, Whoopi Goldberg, Ellen Degeneres - even Chris Rock, who's so 2005. But what about the all-important red carpet show? Star Jones' contract with E! has expired and after driving ratings into the ground with her gushing "When you coming to see me on 'The View,' girlfriend?" love fest, the network isn't rushing to pick up her option. So let the replacement speculation begin. Granted, she has set the bar low, but candidates must be able to stand in the hot Hollywood sun (sunglasses provided), hold a microphone so the network logo is in the shot (someone will tell you which one is the star and which is the date) and remember the most important question on awards night: Who are you wearing?Still, even though you can get them on sale at Payless, filling Jones' shoes requires some thought. After all, the high-profile battle for red-carpet supremacy with TV Guide's Joan and Melissa Rivers is at least as interesting as the awards themselves.
