  1. Michael Lohan: Lindsay Shouldn't Return to Jail

    Credit: GSI Media

    Friday – September 24, 2010 – 1:11pm

Michael Lohan is outraged that his troubled daughter Lindsay has been sent back to the slammer.

"I'd rather be in jail than my daughter today," he told UsMagazine.com after Friday's shocking ruling. "Jail is not good for anybody."

He told Us he wishes Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox had sent the 24-year-old actress -- who has admitting failing at least one drug test - to rehab instead.

Said Michael, "She has not gotten the help with her addiction yet."

He lashed out at the actress' attorney Shawn Chapman Holley and manager Lou Taylor, whom he said got his daughter released early from inpatient rehab at UCLA Medical Center on Aug. 24. (Prior to rehab, Lindsay served nearly two weeks in jail in her three-year-old DUI case.)

"They are destroying my daughter's life," he said. "It is a horrible situation," he added.

He said that he hoped "God would come into her life and touch her."

  2. Blah, Blah, Blah...Everyone else's fault...blah, blah,...blah

Lindsay Lohan goes directly to jail

    By Alan Duke, CNN

NEW: Lohan's dad blames Lindsay's lawyer for bad guidance

Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- Actress Lindsay Lohan will spend the next four weeks in jail while she waits for a probation revocation hearing, a Los Angeles judge ordered Friday.

Judge Elden Fox ordered the preliminary revocation of Lohan's probation based on a probation report to the court saying she tested positive for controlled substance use. The hearing was set for October 22.

When Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, asked the judge to hear her arguments for bail, he answered, "Nope."

The actress showed no emotion as deputies handcuffed her hands behind her back and walked her out of the Beverly Hills courtroom.

Her father, who watched the short hearing from the rear of the courtroom, showed his own anger outside after his daughter was taken away.

"It's a horrible situation. I just hope the judge remands Lindsay to a rehab for a longer period of time and the people in Lindsay's life that are destroying her life and leading her down the wrong path are weeded out," Michael Lohan said.

He singled out Holley for giving his daughter poor advice.

Lohan cited his daughter's court-approved trip to New York during Fashion Week, saying she stayed alone in a hotel room, which opened her up to bad influences.

Lohan's supervised probation for a 2007 drunken driving conviction requires frequent drug tests. The judge warned her last month that any failure could send her back to jail.

"Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result," Lohan tweeted on September 17.

She spent 23 days in a court-ordered drug rehab program last month, which followed a 13-day jail stint imposed when a Los Angeles judge ruled that Lohan violated her probation.

Fox, who took over Lohan's case when she was released, imposed a new set of rules for her to follow until November. It included weekly counseling sessions for alcohol and drug rehabilitation, random drug tests and behavioral therapy.

"Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away overnight," Lohan tweeted. "I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps."

Lohan tweeted that she was "doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future."

"This was certainly a setback for me, but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences," she tweeted.

Lohan made fun of her substance abuse troubles in a backstage skit broadcast during the MTV Video Music Awards earlier in September.

She appeared with show host Chelsea Handler, who was wearing an alcohol-detection bracelet like the one Lohan recently wore.

"Wake up, Handler; pull it together," Lohan said as she slammed Handler against a wall. "You're a menace. Do you think anyone will work with a drunk? Take it from me, they don't."

Lohan was arrested twice in 2007 on charges of driving under the influence, and in the second incident, she was charged with cocaine possession.

The first arrest came after Lohan lost control of her Mercedes-Benz convertible and struck a curb in Beverly Hills.

Just two weeks after checking out of a Malibu drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility, she was arrested again in July 2007 after a woman called Santa Monica police, saying Lohan was trying to run her down with a car.

Lohan's acting career, which started at age 10 on a soap opera, took off on the big screen a year later, when she played identical twins in Disney's remake of "The Parent Trap."

  3. Producer stands by Lohan, says talent matters most

    Tyler Shields

Lindsay Lohan is slated to play porn star Linda Lovelace in the film "Inferno."

The producer of Lindsay Lohan's upcoming film project "Inferno" is speaking out against reports that he is "beyond irritated" with Lohan after she failed a recent court-mandated drug test.

"The only producers in question would be Jordan Gertner or myself, and we are not expressing irritation, nor 'beyond irritated' to anyone -- that is not to say we would not be upset over a breach of the court by Lindsay that has affected her personally, or the potential production schedule or location of the production significantly," producer Chris Hanley told People magazine.

Hanley went on to say that Lohan's talent is a significant consideration in how "Inferno" moves forward, despite the setback. "We do believe that Lindsay’s talent does weigh very heavily in the matter. Addictive personality disorder issues are pervasive in the film industry. I have worked with Robert Downey and others on movies I have made, and, frankly, talent and passion for a project matter the most to me."

"Inferno," in which Lohan will play porn star Linda Lovelace, is due to begin filming in New Orleans Nov. 15.

  4. How Lindsay Lohan Spent Her Bad News Friday

    By Stephen M. Silverman

    Saturday September 18, 2010 03:30 PM EDT

The fateful Friday, Sept. 17, that brought the news that Lindsay Lohan had failed a random drug test and her own admission of, "This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences," was busy all around for the troubled actress.

Lohan spent Friday at an afternoon photo shoot and was later spotted at an observance of the Jewish holy day of atonement, Yom Kippur, with Israeli military vet Eilat Anchel at a house party in Beverly Hills.

Lohan, 24, then went to the Beverly Hills Hotel before heading to Hollywood. After her nighttime Twitter admission that she failed her drug test, she was photographed with her wrist tattoo on display. It reads, "I restore myself when I'm alone."

In her Friday night Tweet, Lohan said, "if I am asked," she is ready to go back before Superior Court Judge Elden Fox to face the consequences of her failed drug test. So far, the judge has not yet set a hearing in the matter, but, said Lohan, "I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future."

However, a friend close to Lohan, who has seen her since her Aug. 24 release from rehab (after serving nearly two weeks in jail in a DUI case), tells PEOPLE: "She did not work the steps inside the program, and did come not out changed whatsoever. She's exactly the same girl as before jail time and rehab."

The friend added: "She did whatever she could to leave rehab early. It was her mission. I'm not sure how, but they let her out much sooner than anyone advised."

    Lohan's rep declined comment.

  5. Tim Gunn on His 'Gossip Girl' Cameo: Taylor Momsen's 'Pathetic,' Everyone Else Is a 'Delight'

by Jean Bentley, posted Sep 15th 2010 10:45AM

By now, the contestants on 'Project Runway' know better than to ignore the advice from wise sage Tim Gunn. So perhaps notoriously independent 'Gossip Girl' 17-year-old star Taylor Momsen will listen to Gunn's guidance as well.

When making a cameo appearance on 'GG''s fourth episode this season, Gunn observed Momsen's bratty behavior firsthand."What a diva!" he told E! News. "She was pathetic; she couldn't remember her lines; and she didn't even have that many. I thought to myself, 'Why are we all being held hostage by this brat?' "

Though he didn't say anything to her at the time, Gunn said he does have a few words of wisdom for the actress."I'd say, 'You know young lady, there are hundreds of thousands of girls who are just as attractive and even smarter than you. Why are you acting like this show is a huge burden on you?' She was on her phone during every break, I wanted to tell her, 'If you weren't on your BlackBerry, you can retain this stuff.' ''

Apparently Gunn wasn't the only one annoyed by Momsen's behavior. "At one point the director leaned in and whispered to me, 'This is day in, day out, my life.' She annoyed the entire crew."

Thankfully, Gunn had kinder words for Momsen's costars, calling them a "delight" to work with.

  6. It's her... she tweeted herself, and everyone says she is TINY in person.

That's just pathetic. She's a 47-year old woman with a crap load of money, lives comfortably and she spends her time tweeting and taking stupid cell phone photos of herself in a bathroom mirror like a 15-year old Kardashian on a MySpace page.

    Amen.

  7. Paris banned from Wynn resorts after drug arrest

Hilton won't be allowed on Vegas properties after her arrest for felony possession

Socialite Paris Hilton isn't welcome at the Wynn resorts in Las Vegas anymore, a casino official said.By KEN RITTER

A casino official says celebrity socialite Paris Hilton has been banned from two Wynn resorts on the Las Vegas Strip and her boyfriend has been dismissed as nightclub manager following their arrests.

Wynn spokeswoman Jennifer Dunne said Wednesday that Hilton won't be allowed at the properties anymore.

Dunne also says Cy Waits has been "separated" from his job as managing partner of the Tryst Nightclub at Wynn and XS The Nightclub at Encore.

Hilton was arrested Friday for investigation of felony cocaine possession, and Waits was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence.

Police say a bag containing 0.8 of a gram of cocaine fell from a purse carried by Hilton when she reached for lip balm in teh Wynn Hotel security holding room. She says it was not her purse.

  8. Paris Hilton denied purse containing drugs was hers

    August 30, 2010 | 3:10 pm

Paris Hilton denied that a purse she was carrying that contained drugs was hers but said other items inside were, including breathing medication, credit cards and $1,300 in cash, according to a police report.

Hilton was arrested Saturday evening with her boyfriend, Las Vegas nightclub operator Cy Waits, who was driving the black SUV stopped by an officer at 11:22 p.m. Friday because of the smell of marijuana.

A police lieutenant found 8 grams of cocaine in, a purse Hilton was carrying. She is expected to be charged with felony drug possession by Clark County prosecutors, based on the police report.

According to the report, Hilton and Waits were stopped near the Wynn Hotel, where a crowd gathered as officers prepared to search the Cadillac SUV for narcotics. Hilton told the officer she needed to use the bathroom and was escorted into the hotel.

Lt. D. Flynn of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said Hilton carried the purse into the hotel, and he had her place it on a table in a Wynn security room. As they waited for a female officer to respond to help with the search, Hilton asked for her purse to get lip balm.

“As she began to open it, I saw a small bindle of what I believed to be cocaine in a clear baggy begin to fall from the purse and into my hand," Flynn wrote. "I then immediately took the purse and dropped the bindle back on the top," waiting for another officer to witness the recovery.

The lieutenant asked “Hilton whose cocaine it was, and she said she had not seen it and now thought it was gum,” he wrote in the report.

Hilton told him she borrowed the purse but the cash, broken Albuterol tablet, credit cards and Zig-Zag wrappers were hers, Flynn said.

She allegedly told Flynn that the cosmetics were not hers. Flynn noted that Zig-Zag wrappers are typically used to smoke marijuana.

Hilton’s attorney, David Chesnoff, urged people not to "rush to judgment."

"This matter will be dealt with in the courts, not in the media, and I encourage people not to rush to judgment until all of the facts have been dealt with in a court of law," he said in the statement.

Waits' attorney, Richard Schonfeld, says the two are innocent and the facts will exonerate them.

  9. EXCLUSIVE: Linsday Lohan cashing in on post-incarceration interest

Lindsay Lohan is making bank, but not at the box office.

A source tells FOX411.com that the deals her mother Dina Lohan is making for her involving post-rehab interviews and product placement are keeping the actress solvent and flush enough to pay her $130,000 rehab bill, with money left over.

Lindsay, 24, has her team of people around her now in Los Angeles, sorting out offers and figuring out how best to sustain this boost to her income.

"Lindsay’s New York team has flown out to Los Angeles for the next few weeks to broker deals and manage her time when she isn’t in rehab outpatient classes," the pal tells FOX411.com. "She has tons of bills to pay, thanks to her sentence, so it’s important she grab every post-rehab opportunity. In that sense, she is very focused and driven right now on using her recovery as a stepping stone.”

Several companies have already approached Lindsay with product deals.

“Over the next couple of weeks, she can be paid for carrying something in a photo. Each company is offering between $2,000 and $10,000 for a photo of her with their products," the source said. "Other companies are sending her masses of things for free hoping she’ll wear them.”

The only photo of Lohan post-rehab so far came out on Wednesday, and shows the star wearing headphones and holding a drink.

The source tells us Lindsay did not get paid to wear the V-MODA headphones, but they think it is “likely” that Rockstar Energy Drink is paying Lindsay.

Calls to Rockstar Energy Drink were not immediately returned.

“Lindsay’s mom and her manager and lawyer are brokering deals left and right," said the insider. "It's a smart way for her to cash in and make up for lost income. She has to create work or she'll be penniless before the Linda Lovelace movie films."

Lohan is slated to play the porn star in an upcoming indie film. She also has a supporting role in "Machete," which debuts this weekend.

Dina is already going on her second round of paid interviews, this time with Lindsay in tow.

“They already have contracts for tell-alls this week [that] were brokered while Lindsay was behind bars. New deals are coming in from various production offices on TV specials surrounding her post-rehab life," the insider said.

It was reported yesterday by RadarOnline.com that Lindsay was offered a $1 million contract with New York radio station Party 105 to co-host a show with her mother.

“Lindsay’s lawyer is reviewing the contract and it would be a great opportunity for Lindsay," the source confirmed. "Her mom would like her to move back to New York after all her rehab requirements are fulfilled. Dina wants the family all together again on the East Coast.”

That may be a problem, as a judge on Wednesday ordered Lindsay to fulfill her rehab requirements in the Los Angeles area.

  10. Sean Penn Attacks Jean For Failing To Accept Presidential Dream Is Over

52 minutes ago | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Sean Penn has fired up his war of words with Wyclef Jean after learning of the hip-hop star's plans to contest a decision that will keep him from running for president of his native Haiti.

The former Fugees star first irked Penn, who has actively been part of the relief effort in the earthquake-ravaged nation throughout the past six months, when he first announced his plans to become the country's next leader earlier this month.

The Oscar winner and activist criticised Wyclef's apparent absence from his homeland in the wake of the devastating earthquake during a recent appearance on CNN news show Larry King Live. And now Penn has written a commentary about the hip-hop star's bid for the presidency online after learning the Gone 'Til November hitmaker is fighting a decision by Haiti electoral officials that rules him ineligible for high political office.

In the piece, published by TheHuffingtonPost.com, Penn writes, "(I am) someone who has spent most of the last six months following the devastating earthquake, side by side in that country (Haiti), with so many others, doing whatever we could to lend a hand. I have never met Wyclef Jean, and all I really know of him on any personal level has come through the fond comments of a few mutual friends.

"Wyclef Jean gave indispensable world attention to Haiti's incredible misfortune (but) I was there for those 6 months after the earthquake and so many of us on the ground wondered where he was when that kind of attention was so necessary and absent, and why he was Not helping to keep this desperate situation in the news.

"None among us felt or expressed anger toward it, but rather a universal sadness for his silence, as he is America's most admired cultural link to Haiti. As the six-month Anniversary (of the earthquake) approached, it triggered the return of the world media, and of Wyclef Jean to Haiti."

He insists Jean is the wrong celebrity to be running for office in Haiti, adding, "It's clear that Mr. Jean can have an important place in drawing attention to Haiti's needs. However, when New York press agents circle wagons of ignorance and sell as deep insight the advertisement of that which charms them about a client, the lives and needs of the Haitian people are sidelined."

And Penn then attacks Jean for comments the singer/songwriter made regarding his opposition to the former Fugees star's presidential bid.

The actor adds, "When he chose to attempt to discredit me, claiming... that my time in Haiti had been restricted to 'one particular area', that area he was referring to is the 55,000 person Idp (Internally Displaced Person) Camp that I and my organization were tasked to manage by the International Office of Migration...

"Jean said the following: "I would like to tell Sean Penn I do not react on emotions when it comes to the Haitian people. I do not have to sacrifice my life and live inside of a tent to prove that I am for the Haitian people." No, he doesn't have to live in a tent. But it would be nice if he visited once and awhile."

Penn concludes, "These elections are crucial, and I have no part in them. Neither should Mr. Jean."

Lindsay Lohan Judge Recuses Herself From the Case

    Wed., Aug. 11, 2010 10:43 AM PDT

    by Josh Grossberg

While she cleans up her act, Lindsay Lohan at least won't have to worry about one person breathing down her neck.

Marsha Revel, the Los Angeles Judge who came down hard on the troubled starlet and sent her to jail for failing to abide by the terms of her probation, has recused herself from Lohan's case after prosecutors raised objections to her handling of the case.

"Judge Revel recused herself from this case on Friday," said Los Angeles Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini. "We can't confirm any reason. It's [been] reassigned to Judge [Elden] Fox."

E! News has learned that Revel was pressured by prosecutors into removing herself from overseeing Lindsay's probation.

According to a source, there was a meeting last Friday between District Attorney Danette Meyers, Lohan's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley and Her Honor where the prosecutor objected to Revel making several phone calls to a rehab clinic without her being present for the communications.

The DA's office took specific issue with the judge selecting the Morningside treatment facility, which was not on the list of recommended facilities for the 24-year-old actress once she was released from the slammer. Instead, Meyers suggested UCLA as the best place for Lohan.

"UCLA was always the first choice for the DA," says the source.

In addition, the source also tells E! News another factor in Revel's decision to step down was when O.J. Simpson Dream Teamer Robert Shapiro, who wasn't even Lohan's attorney of record (but was reportedly representing her), showed up at the courthouse without the district attorney present.

In legal proceedings, usually a judge cannot meet with one side without the other side being present.

Meyers was reportedly all set to file official paperwork formally objecting to Revel remaining on the case when the latter excused herself.

"Bottom line is we objected and she took herself off the case," added the source.

Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox will now take over. He's had quite a bit of experience handling celebrities scofflaws, having presided over former Prison Break star Lane Garrison's manslaughter case and Winona Ryder's infamous shoplifting trial.

  12. Report: Jennifer Aniston to Go Topless in New Movie

by Celebuzz on Aug. 25, 2010 11:15 AM

Jennifer Aniston has never been shy about stripping down for magazine covers, and now it appears that she's ready to do the same on the big screen.

Hollywood Life has obtained the script for Aniston's upcoming project, the Judd Apatow-produced Wanderlust, and included in the story about a displaced Manhattan couple is a scene in which Aniston doffs her top for a good cause.

According to Hollywood Life, the big moment comes when Aniston's character, the city slicker-turned-commune resident Linda, decides to protest the construction of a new Wal-mart by taking off her shirt to stop a slew of bulldozers. Way to strike a sexy blow against the man, Jen!

That isn't the only Aniston Gone Wild moment in the film, either; the leaked script also reveals that Aniston's character not only regularly smokes weed, but engages in a three-way with two women—one of whom is pregnant. Maybe she's taking her career cues from Miley Cyrus these days?

Wanderlust, which co-stars Paul Rudd as Linda's husband George, is due to begin filming this fall. Are you excited to see Aniston cut loose on the big screen?

  13. 'The Switch' a bitch for Jennifer Aniston

Why the star's latest film failed at the box office

By Gregg Kilday and Kim Masters

    Aug 24, 2010

The moviegoing public's on-again, off-again love affair with Jennifer Aniston hit another troubled patch during the weekend as her latest comedy, "The Switch," opened to a dispiriting $8.4 million.

From the start, there was concern within the Aniston camp that the offbeat comedy, which also stars Jason Bateman as a surprise sperm donor, was a tricky sell. "Switch" was produced independently for about $19 million by Mandate and Bona Fide Prods. As filming began, Miramax picked up domestic rights for about $6 million. Then the movie nearly became an orphan when Disney decided to sell Miramax to an investment group headed by Ron Tutor.

Ultimately, Disney agreed to distribute the title for a fee through its Touchstone label. Sources claim that the studio promised the "Switch" team it would give the movie the same level of support that helped turn Sandra Bullock's romantic comedy "The Proposal" into a hit last summer but that Disney's ad buy ultimately fell short of that mark. There was even talk that Aniston confronted Disney marketing head M.T. Carney about the issue.

Neither Aniston's representatives nor Disney would comment on the situation. But a source close to the film said Aniston, who served as an executive producer with her producing partner Kristin Hahn, "was ferocious and tireless on behalf of the movie and is to be greatly admired for that."

If there was a disconnect between her and the studio, it probably came out of the fact that Disney, which inherited the film, didn't have the same sense of ownership in the project that drove CBS Films to lavish TV airtime on similarly themed Jennifer Lopez rom-com "The Back-up Plan" in April. And even with CBS' backing, "Plan" was no winner, opening to $12.2 million and grossing only $37.5 million domestically. Artificial insemination, it turns out, is the new boxoffice poison.

In an odd way, though, Aniston's current boxoffice troubles don't necessarily represent a setback.

Just as the tabloids have turned her personal life into an ongoing saga of triumph over heartbreak, she has overcome equally long odds in Hollywood, becoming the only member of the "Friends" ensemble to graduate to a full-time film career.

Although some in the business describe her as a second-tier movie star, she's reliably second-tier. As one producer explained: "She's probably still a giant television star. If she would do it, she could name her price. Her movies aren't very good, but they're not embarrassing. She's always pleasant, and she always looks kind of pretty. She's really well-liked in the town. She's a good friend, a supergood client, very hardworking."

In fact, Aniston will give a boost to her pal Courteney Cox by appearing as a therapist on the Season 2 premiere of Cox's ABC sitcom "Cougar Town," the first time the two have worked together since a 2007 episode of FX's "Dirt."

Offering an even more upbeat assessment, another producer said: "As an actress, she's sort of effortless -- good with comedy and comfortable in those roles. She just doesn't get credit for the ease with which she does these things."

Against a film resume that is decidedly mixed, ranging from such lows as "Derailed" and last year's "Love Happens" to such highs as "The Break-Up" and "Marley & Me," "Switch" eventually might be seen as just another stumble that sets the stage for her next recovery.

Already, the actress has completed filming a new Adam Sandler movie, "Just Go for It," which Sony will release in February, and she is at work on the ensemble comedy "Horrible Bosses" for New Line.

As a film actress, she has taken a dual-track path, veering between such smaller indie efforts as Miguel Arteta's "The Good Girl" and Nicole Holofcener's "Friends With Money" and glossier studio fare.

Said another producer who has worked with her: "There are some actors like Angelina Jolie, if they want to do the movie, then you make the movie. Aniston is not the kind of star that drives movies getting made. She's the kind of star that gets the movie made if you want to make it anyway. If she says, 'I want to do a script,' people are going to say: 'How do you sell it? What's the budget? Who's the co-star?' She's part of a package within a package."

The photogenic Aniston might lend herself to poster art -- and attracts publicity in the form of those ever-present magazine covers -- but she can't open a film by herself. Her boxoffice track record has more to do with the power of her various male co-stars than anything else.

"Bruce Almighty," which grossed $243 million domestically in 2003, was by far her biggest hit, but that movie was sold as a wacky Jim Carrey comedy with Aniston tagging along as Carrey's fiancee.

She also broke the $100 million mark appearing with Vince Vaughn in "Break-Up," a sort of anti-romantic comedy, and by sharing the screen with Owen Wilson and a lovable dog in "Marley."

But teaming with such lesser lights as Steve Zahn in last year's "Management," which received only a token release, and Aaron Eckhart in September's "Love Happens," Aniston hasn't been able to drag movies over the finish line by herself. In fact, "Love" opened to the same sort of weekend that greeted "Switch": $8 million.

"On her own, she's not strong enough," one of the producers said. "She's like the cleanup hitter, but you need the rest of the team."

"Switch" was problematic because it isn't a typical rom-com; its father-son plot is as prominent as its romantic resolution. The campaign, in which Aniston had a hand, tried to suggest a bit of an edge instead of just the usual sunny cliches.

The movie opened Friday in 2,012 theaters, one of the lowest screen counts among the weekend's slew of new releases. It had the third-highest per-screen average among the top 10 but placed seventh in a generally lackluster field.

Co-star Bateman earned good reviews in his first major star turn, but that didn't seem to count at the boxoffice.

"Bateman really is the main character, but the movie was judged as a Jennifer Aniston vehicle," one of her admirers said. "Given that, I think it was very generous of her to promote the movie the way she did, especially because people are so fixated about her, which is both a good thing and a bad thing."

Lindsay Lohan's Adderall dependence -- the result of a medical misdiagnosis -- may have been the reason she went off the rails.

As TMZ first reported, the docs at the UCLA rehab facility believe Lindsay was misdiagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and then prescribed Adderall to treat the phantom affliction.

Dr. Joe Haraszti, a prominent L.A. addiction specialist tells TMZ that people who take Adderall when they don't need it can experience similar effects as people who use cocaine or methamphetamine.

Haraszti says people who unnecessarily take Adderall can display manic symptoms and often do things like "driving around until all hours of the morning, smoking heavily, tweeting and texting all night long." The doc adds, "They can become very impulsive."

The doc also notes that people in that situation "might then complain of insomnia and then take Ambien or other sleep aids to help fall asleep in a vicious cycle"

Dr. Marc Kern, another addiction expert, tells us alcohol abuse is also very common among patients who take Adderall.

Dr. Kern tells us, "The Adderall counteracts the sedative side effects of alcohol use … making these people often drink more than someone who does not take the drug."

Bottom line -- a bad medical diagnosis may have set the ball rolling that unhinged Lindsay's life.

  15. These photoshopped photos aren't helping her career at all. Her getting buttnaked on major magazines when she has major movie releases, ain't helping either. Most of America still has no interest in seeing her in the same tired ass flicks of her trying to find love. It is a desperate attempt at still telling the world that she is sexy. C'mon Kath, she's no Britney Spears, so seriously doubt she's going to pump up sales of that perfume...unless it's called "Desperation." :4biggrin:

This is the same woman who had a marketing campaign for water..yes...bottled water. I'm sure she pumped up the sales for that.

I'm not hating on her for making money...she's a TV actress and but she's desperately trying to make herself into much more.
