    Eddie Murphy

Are there any real marraiges in Hollywood. I've read on another forum that Paul Newman is gay and Joanne Woodard was his beard and she is a lesbian! I always thought his wife was so pretty....you would never know she had 5 kids by looking at her but I heard her new guy is a bad guy who went bankrupt and wasted millions on some internet investment thing. I also always heard Nicole had her first kid w/ Eddies bro but Eddie took it as his own and married her......maybe that is what started the contract in the first place...he covered her and she covered him....Also...I heard the same thing about Newman and Woodward....Did they have kids ever?

and another...British rocker Pete Doherty held after drugs raid Reuters Oct 2, 2005 - By Michael Holden LONDON (Reuters) - Bad-boy British rocker Pete Doherty, famous for his relationship with supermodel Kate Moss, has been held by police after a drugs raid on a venue where his band were playing, a spokesman for the singer said on Sunday. Officers with sniffer dogs raided Shrewsbury Music Hall in central England, where Doherty's group, Babyshambles, were playing on Saturday night to target "the suspected illegal use of class A drugs." They also searched the band's tour coaches. A West Mercia police spokesman said they had arrested a man and a woman, who was later freed without charge, for suspected possession of a class A drug - a category which includes cocaine and heroin. Police would not identify the arrested man but Doherty, a confessed drug addict, had been held according to his spokesman. "I know he was held by police last night. He was taken from the venue," the spokesman told Reuters. "I don't know if he's been charged." He added that the band's two tour buses had also been impounded by police. They are now undergoing forensic tests. Police said the arrested man had been taken to a police station in Telford and would be questioned later on Sunday. Doherty, 26, shot to stardom as the lead singer of The Libertines but was kicked out of the band for his well-publicized drug addiction to crack cocaine. He went on to form his own band Babyshambles and became a regular feature in Britain's tabloid press because of his on-off relationship with Moss, one of the most famous faces in fashion. Moss became the focus of attention last month when she was pictured in one newspaper allegedly snorting cocaine. Moss apologized, but a number of retailers and fashion houses canceled their contracts with her. Police also said they would investigate the newspaper reports.

    Julianne Moore

Tales of a desperate housewife October 2, 2005 Julianne Moore isn't shy about airing her dirty laundry in public. In fact, the story she's about to tell reeks of personal details."This summer, we rented this little house by the beach. It was me, my husband Bart, and our two kids. All I can say is I did more laundry than I ever thought was possible," says the famous redhead. "My son likes to play in his socks outside. Every five minutes, I'm like, 'Those socks are filthy. Hand them over right now.' Suddenly, I'd be standing there with another mound of laundry."Call her an Oscar-nominated desperate housewife. Moore plays a desperate housewife of another era in "The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio," which opened Friday. Based on a true story, Moore plays Evelyn Ryan, a woman who enters several national jingle-writing contests in the 1950s in order to help feed her 10 children while her hard-drinking husband (Woody Harrelson) digs them into financial holes."There was a period of time in America where the advertising world actually went to the housewives of America and had them write jingles that would appeal to them," Moore says. "It was actually brilliant marketing."Moore's character Evelyn is a former newspaper writer who juggles her kids and a husband who wanted to be a singer. A freak accident ruins his voice and destroys his spirit. That's why he spends the little money he makes at the liquor store."It's all on one woman who doesn't even have a job to feed and raise her 10 children. Can you believe it? Ten children," Moore says. "I pat myself on the back that I have two children, a job, and I'm doing OK. I'm managing. This woman was astonishing. She had all the stress and no help. She couldn't work outside the home, but had to find a way for her children to eat."The amazing thing is that this woman never gets really depressed," Moore says. "She feels confident. You watch her being able to handle anything."Evelyn's true problems arise from her husband, who kills her joy. Each time she wins a refrigerator, a shopping spree, or even cash from her jingles, he finds a way to ruin the moment, including beating her new deep freezer with a bat."Finally, she says what I think is the most profound line of the movie between this husband and wife," Moore says. "She says, 'I don't need you to make me happy. I need you to leave me alone when I am.'"The movie basically says that you have to create your own happiness. You also have to express yourself even if you don't seem to have an outlet, which is why this woman wrote jingles for contests."The real Evelyn died in 1998. Moore was able to talk to several of her children to get a handle on the character."The kids even came to the set," Moore says. "And they brought Evelyn's grandchildren. Her best friend, who is still alive, came to the set. This is the friend who took Evelyn to buy her first pantsuit at J.C. Penney, which was a big deal."Moore says the idea of playing a prize-winner was a bit foreign to her."Once, I won $246 in a slot machine," she says. "I didn't even enter contests as a kid. I did once send away for a Captain Crunch watch, but it never came."What might be coming Moore's way in the coming months is a little statue named Oscar. There's buzz she might get a Best Actress nod for either "Prize Winner" or the upcoming "Freedomland," based on the Richard Price novel. In that film, Moore plays Brenda Martin, a single mother who accuses a man from the projects of kidnapping her young daughter, who is now feared dead. Her accusations spark a racial explosion. The film also stars Samuel L. Jackson as the detective on the case and Edie Falco as a woman who looks for missing children."Basically, I play a white woman who walks into a black hospital in the middle of the night and says she was carjacked by a black man," she says. "It's about class division and poverty. In the end, it's really about how alike we are as human beings."A big bonus for Moore was she got to work on her home turf of New York City. "It was fantastic to star in an urban, East Coast story. We shot in Brooklyn, and I was home every single night, which was really fantastic. I couldn't have been happier," she says. The other bonus was working with Jackson. "I don't think there is anyone cooler than Sam Jackson," she says. "At the end, he not only gave me a Kangol hat, which made me feel cool, but he also gave me a necklace with my initials on the front and his on the back."As for the Oscar buzz, Moore sighs."All I really want is for people to enjoy my movies," she says. "I want my work to be good, regardless of the other stuff like awards." In another breath, she adds, "Of course, you can't help but get caught up in the Oscar mania. But I think of it like hair."An explanation is in order."OK, if you had a hairdo that you liked, but everyone hated your hair, including your man, then you'd be sad. It's the same thing with movies. I love these movies and if someone else likes them, too, then I'll just be thrilled."I won't lie," she says. "I want to be in movies that everyone likes."In 2003, Moore married director Bart Freundlich, the father of her son Cal, 7, and daughter Liv, 3. Freundlich also directed Moore in "Trust the Man," an upcoming film starring David Duchovny. At home, neither focuses on Hollywood. "It's all about the kids," she says. "Cal is a big boy now and very much into sports. He's adorable. Liv is so cute, and she wants to be like Mommy."Moore sounds very much like any working mother when she laments packing her bags after this interview."I leave for London tonight and I'll be all by myself. It's awful," she says. "Of course, the first few days are great. I'll watch TV, hang out, read. But then I miss my family so terribly."The toughest part is the second night, when my daughter will call and say, 'Where are you, Mom? Are you coming home tomorrow?' And you have to say, 'Not yet, honey.'"I can't wait to get home and wash all those socks," she says

    Jude Law

NY DAILY NEWS...RUSH AND MOLLOY Has Sienna Miller lost Jude Law's baby? The "Alfie" actress looked glum at her sister Savannah's nuptials last weekend in England, spies say. Sienna couldn't help but feel wistful as she remembered her own wedding plans - which were dashed when Law admitted he'd had an affair with his children's nanny. But Miller's heart may have been heavier than most guests knew. According to a family friend, the 23-year-old beauty recently suffered a miscarriage. "She's only told her family and closest friends," the source tells us. "Naturally, everyone feels terrible for her." Reps for Miller and Law have never confirmed that she was with child. But yesterday, Sienna's rep called talk of a miscarriage "complete and utter balderdash!" The troubled star couple is trying to reconcile. But Law was not at the wedding - possibly because he didn't want to distract from the bride and groom, or he didn't feel like enduring the glares and stares of his would-be in-laws. Miller seems to be soldiering on. Earlier this week, she was in Milan for the fashion shows. Yesterday, she was due to be in L.A. to talk with director George Hickenlooper about "Factory Girl." The role should give us a different Sienna: She's having her golden locks chopped off and dyed silver to look the part of tragic Warhol "superstar" Edie Sedgwick.

    Jerry O'Connell & Rebecca Romijn

(http://www.contactmusic.com/new/xmlfeed.nsf/mndwebpages/oconnell%20fe...) Actor Jerry O'Connell ditched his initial plan to propose to his fiancee Rebecca Romijn in a sports stadium, because he feared getting rejected before thousands of spectators. The Kangaroo Jack star asked Romijn for her hand in marriage earlier this month (September 2005) in the New York City apartment he grew up in, after abandoning plans for a more grand proposal. He says, "It's kind of scary because you're popping the question, it's like a pop quiz, it's a surprise question. So when (I was) first planning it I was like, 'I'm gonna do it at a baseball game, I'm gonna do it at a Yankees game or Rebecca's from Berkeley, do it in Oakland.' "And then you realise, because you're popping the question, what if your significant other says no in front of 50,000 people? So I (opted) to do it very privately where if no happened I would be the only one who knew about it. It was just the two of us."

Studio searched over Moss claims Moss is reported to have checked into rehab in Arizona Detectives have searched a recording studio where model Kate Moss is alleged to have snorted cocaine, Scotland Yard has confirmed. Police visited the west London studio on Thursday but a spokeswoman declined to elaborate on details of the search. Officers are also examining items handed to them by the Daily Mirror, which first reported the claims. The model's agent has said she was "absolutely devastated" by the recent drug-taking allegations. Moss released a statement after the claims were reported, admitting "full responsibility" for her actions and saying she was taking steps to address her problems. It has been reported that the 31-year-old would check into the Meadows rehab clinic in Arizona. Lucrative contracts The police spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that officers from the specialist crime directorate executed a section eight search warrant on 29 September at an address in London, W4, as part of an ongoing inquiry." The model has lost lucrative contracts with Chanel, H&M and Burberry after the Mirror first reported the claims about drug taking. An investigation into those allegations was ordered personally by Scotland Yard chief Sir Ian Blair.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfgate/indexd?blogid=7 De Niro Can't Get Staff Hollywood veteran Robert De Niro allegedly is facing a domestic headache after firing his household staff -- because no one wants to be their replacements. The actor is at loose ends after reports his fiery wife, Grace Hightower, intimidates staff have spread to employment agencies. A source tells Page Six, "Everyone loves Bob -- it's the wife that drives everyone crazy." De Niro dismissed his domestics after former maid Lucyna Turyk-Wawrynowicz allegedly stole $100,000 worth of his wife's jewelry. She later blamed Hightower's "mean" nature for provoking her actions, prompting the revered actor to sack the rest of his employees, too. Page Six reports, "De Niro sat down his longtime butler Frederick and told him his services were no longer needed. No explanation was given, and Frederick was sent away with two months severance." A similar fate befell his sons' nanny, but the Hollywood couple has yet to find replacements.

    Jude Law

http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/3amcontent/tm_...900&method=fu... 27 September 2005 JUDE FEUD 2 Sienna’s fury at gruesome threesomes SOMETHING tells us we shouldn’t be buying a hat for Jude Law and Sienna Miller’s nuptials quite yet. We hear the couple - who’d only just made up after Jude got caught playing away with nanny Daisy Wright - had another blazing row last week. They fell out again when allegations appeared in a Sunday paper that he had taken part in sordid threesomes with ex-wife Sadie Frost and her troubled pal Kate Moss. The rift had not healed by the weekend so Jude stayed away from the wedding of Sienna’s sister Savannah. A source close to the couple confides: "They rowed and it was agreed that Jude should avoid the wedding so the big day wouldn’t be affected by their domestic issues." Distraught Jude avoided the Devon ceremony - and Sienna was seen in the company of hunky old pal, hotel-heir Archie Keswick. Explaining her fella’s absence to guests, the 23-year-old blonde beauty claimed: "Savannah’s a bit of a hippy. "She hates the whole celebrity thing and doesn’t understand it. "It’s her big day and the focus should be on her. I’ve explained that to Jude and he understands." The pair had enjoyed a very public reconciliation just over a week ago at London club Kabaret’s Prophecy at the end of her run in the West End production of As You Like It. But the fragile star saw red when Jude’s alleged indoor antics became public. The pal says: "Sienna was livid and Jude couldn’t believe it. He’s been through so much in the last couple of months that to be dragged into the wake of the Kate Moss cocaine scandal was the last thing he needed. "Jude’s done everything possible to win back Sienna’s trust and it seemed as though his efforts were finally paying off. "The night her play ended they were pictured cuddling and acting very much like a couple." But it’s not all bad news for Jude. A wedding insider confides that he was never far from Sienna’s thoughts. They reveal: "It was a long day and everyone was drinking. And even though she was smarting over the row, Sienna couldn’t help doing some ‘drunken dialling’ and asking him to come and see her immediately." Loved-up dad-of-three Jude, 32, obliged and the pair spent Sunday deep in conversation at Devon’s luxury Buckland House. Our source adds: "They still want to be together but they’ve got yet another hurdle to overcome." Guys, we know the path of true love is never smooth, but this is really getting crazy.

It's Kabbalah he's not too thrilled about. By By Jeannette Walls MSNBC Bruce Willis has a dictum for his ex-wife: keep our kids away from your religion. Demi Moore reportedly married sweetie Ashton Kutcher in a Kabbalah Ceremony, but not at the Kabbalah Centre, as some expected - which makes sense, says a source, who explains that Willis "strictly forbids" his children with Moore from being exposed to the offshoot of Judaism, which some critics have called a cult. "Bruce's feelings are that Demi and Ashton can do whatever they want with their personal and religious lives," says the insider, "but he puts down his foot when it comes to his daughters and does not want them visiting the Kabbalah Centre." Reps for Willis, Moore and Kutcher didn't return calls for comment.

    Kate Moss

Stewart saddened by Moss drug scandal Tuesday Sep 27 11:06 AEST Kimberley Stewart said she hoped photographs of Moss apparently snorting cocaine, which may ruin the model's career, would highlight the issue of drugs in the fashion industry. "I am such a big fan of hers (Moss) that it really makes me sad and I think that it is just a bummer that it happened," Stewart said. "But I think it will probably awaken a lot of people in the fashion business to what they shouldn't be doing." Stewart, 26, flew into Melbourne at the weekend to promote Antz Pantz underwear and admitted drugs were a problem in the fashion industry. "I think it is (prevalent) and I think that hopefully this will change it." Stewart and hotel heiress Nicky Hilton will spend the next three days promoting Antz Pantz and judging modelling competitions at shopping centres in Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast. Hilton also expressed sympathy for Moss. "It is kind of a bummer but it is her problem and I don't really feel at liberty to discuss someone's personal life," she said. Asked if drugs were an issue in the industry, the young woman who is famous for being famous, said she stayed away from them. "I don't do them (drugs)," Hilton, sister of Paris, said. Kate Moss

Moss 'to go into rehab' By Aidan Radnedge, Metro 26 September 2005 Kate Moss will go into drug rehab today following claims she indulged in a marathon cocaine session, sources revealed last night. The supermodel is presently out of the country and will stay abroad to have the treatment, they added. The 31-year-old's career has been in freefall since a newspaper published pictures of her apparently snorting lines of coke in a London recording studio with lover Pete Doherty. More allegations of drug-fuelled lesbian sex and wild parties at her Gloucestershire mansion followed. Moss has already lost lucrative contracts with H&M, Burberry and Chanel since the scandal broke 11 days ago. A multi-million-pound contract with Rimmel still hangs in the balance as the cosmetics giant considers its position. The model, who has a two-year-old daughter Lila Grace, could face a social services investigation by Westminster Council. Scotland Yard is also looking into the drug allegations. Moss released a statement last week, apologising to all the people she had 'let down'. She said she took 'full responsibility' for her actions and was taking steps to address her 'personal issues'.
