Duff Blasts Eating Disorder Claims

Teen queen Hilary Duff has dismissed reports she has an eating disorder, and

insists she lost weight because she exercised.

 

 

Duff never weighs herself and doesn't know how much weight she ended up

losing while on tour recently.

 

 

She explains, "My best friend was on tour with me and we swam 30 laps every

day.

 

 

"We always made sure we stayed at hotels with pools and on the days I didn't

feel like doing it she'd be like, 'Let's go.'"

 

 

The singer also cut out carbohydrates, such as pasta, rice and bread, while

she was on the road and has continued working out regularly.

 

 

She adds, "When I finished that tour, my sister (introduced) me to pilates,

and I just got obsessed with it. I do it three or four times a week when I'm

not traveling."

NEW YORK - Lance Armstrong closed his weekly satellite radio show on a

bittersweet note by playing ex-fiancee Sheryl Crow's song "Letter To

God."

 

 

The seven-time Tour De France winner and the Grammy-winning rocker

announced their breakup in a joint statement last week after "much

thought and consideration," despite their "deep love and respect."

 

 

Armstrong acknowledged the split in his Sunday night talk show,

"Armstrong Radio," on the Sirius Satellite Radio channel "Faction,"

saying he was "torn it didn't work out."

 

 

"Obviously, this week was a rough week for us, but that doesn't change

the fact that Sheryl is an unbelievable lady, one of the smartest,

wisest, most gifted people I've ever met and a person that I can

honestly say has shown me a love that I never knew," he said.

 

 

"It's only fair that I say that, and it's only fair that we play one of

her songs tonight and not run from the situation."

 

 

Crow, 43, has called Armstrong, 34, the inspiration for her last album,

"Wildflower," which was released in September.

 

 

They announced their engagement in September. It would have been her

first marriage and his second. He has three children from a previous

marriage.

 

 

Following the breakup announcement, Armstrong reportedly canceled his

scheduled appearance as a presenter at the 48th annual Grammy Awards

on Wednesday. A call to the Recording Academy by The Associated Press

was not immediately returned Tuesday.

 

 

Crow is up for three Grammys: best pop vocal album ("Wildflower"),

best female pop vocal performance for "Good Is Good" and best country

collaboration with vocals for "Building Bridges."

Cattrall To Spread Her Sex Wisdom to Teens

 

 

Former "Sex and the City" actress Kim Cattrall is using her life experiences

to offer advice and guidance to teenage girls in her next book.

 

 

After writing best-sellers "Satisfaction: The Art of the Female Orgasm" and

"Sexual Intelligence," thrice-divorced Cattrall is offering less explicit

advice to young women.

 

 

Piccadilly Press, who is publishing "Everything I Ever Learned About Being a

Girl," claims Cattrall will use her "real-life" experiences growing up in

Canada and England to offer lessons.

 

 

The publisher says, "It will be like the advice of an older sister. The idea

is that Kim will advise teenagers to be cautious, so that they learn from

her mistakes."

Despite the sexual tone of her previous tomes, Piccadilly insists the latest

book will not encourage promiscuity, which Cattrall's on-screen persona of

Samantha Jones is famous for.

Guitarist for Pink, Aguilera under arrest

LOS ANGELES - Guitarist Rafael Moreira, who has worked with Pink,

Christina Aguilera and others, has been arrested for allegedly beating

a man at the music school where he teaches, police said.

Moreira was booked Monday for investigation of assault with a deadly

weapon following an altercation at Musicians Institute in Hollywood,

police Lt. Russ Wong said.

Wong said he didn't have details of the events that led to Moreira's

arrest or the object used in the attack, but a witness said he saw the

victim bleeding from the face.

"I just heard a commotion and came outside to see what was going on,"

said Kevin Campos, a student at the institute.

"I saw a guy with a bloody face. He went into the library to wipe his

face, then he came back out and confronted Rafael. That's when I went

to get security," Campos said.

A telephone message left after business hours with the school, and an

e-mail sent to an address listed on Moreira's Web site, were not

immediately returned late Monday.

Moreira, who graduated from the institute in 1998, is listed on its Web

site as one of its "success stories." His profile notes he has toured

with Pink as well as performed with Aguilera, Marc Anthony, Sisqo and

Mya.

Moreira, who was born in the southern Brazil town of Cambara, also

fronts his own rock band, Magnetico, and appeared on the CBS reality

show "Rock Star: INXS."

The actor Ralph Fiennes and his partner Francesca Annis are to separate

after 11 years, lawyers for the actress said tonight.

 

 

The split comes after reports that The English Patient star Fiennes, 43, had

an affair with a young singer.

 

 

"Ms Annis confirms today that she and Ralph Fiennes are to separate," said a

statement from her solicitors.

 

 

The 61-year-old actress also announced she has begun legal proceedings

against the Daily Mail for defamation and invasion of privacy over a story

which claimed she had forgiven him over the alleged affair.

Francesca Annis has forgiven boyfriend Ralph Fiennes for having a two-year

affair with a woman half her age, it was revealed yesterday.

The 62-year-old actress has told friends that she knows that she cannot

"fulfil all his sexual needs".

 

 

Miss Annis is planning to stand by Fiennes, whose career has been revived by

the success of A Constant Gardener, despite Romanian singer Cornelia Crisan

reveaing details of their affair.

 

 

Miss Annis has told friends that the thing she is most upset about is that

her 11-year relationship with Fiennes - who is 19 years her junior - will

now be raked over in a 'vulgar' way.

 

 

"Francesca did not know about the affair but she is not surprised that he

has been seeing another woman for sex,' said a friend last night. "They have

often discussed his need for sex which she knows she can't satisfy.

 

 

"They have a complex relationship and they both have very different needs.

He needs far more sex and thrills than she does.

 

 

"She needs to work, she looks after her very old mother, and has

responsibilities as a mother herself. She can't give Ralph all the energy

and excitement he needs.

 

 

"But Francesca also knows that she is his rock and that he always comes

back. They spend a lot of time apart but they both relish what they have

together when they are together."

 

 

'Under strain'

 

 

The friend added that the pair had been under more strain in the last two

years.

 

 

"When she reached 60 she felt she was hurtling towards old age and she

"They have been having problems since then but this is not going to be the

thing that breaks them up.

 

 

"The thing she hates most about this is that she really can't stand being in

the public eye for a vulgar reason. She only likes her work to be in the

public domain."

 

 

Miss Crisan claimed her affair with Fiennes - who has denied any

misbehaviour, despite being previously linked to a string of women - began

after they met at a party at the Dorchester Hotel.

 

 

He persuaded the 31-year-old singer to go up to his bedroom where he seduced

her.

 

 

She claimed that over the next two years she met up with Fiennes for sex 30

more times at her house and in a bolthole he has near Spitalfields Market in

the East End.

 

 

Yesterday Miss Annis refused to answer calls at the home she shares with

Fiennes in Hammersmith, West London. Her family said her 93-year-old mother

Marquita had not been told about the affair because she was so frail.

 

 

Fiennes is in Dublin where he is performing in The Faith Healer and friends

say Miss Annis may go to see him in the show this week. They met when she

played Hamlet's mother Gertrude and he played Hamlet in a production of the

tragedy at the Hackney Empire in 1995.

 

 

His wife, ER star Alex Kingston was devastated by the affair, as was her

long-time boyfriend, photographer Patrick Wiseman, who is the father of her

three children.

Moore Stands Behind Director Tamahori

 

 

Actress Julianne Moore is sticking by director Lee Tamahori after the

filmmaker was arrested for posing as a drag prostitute in Los Angeles last

month.

 

 

Moore is set to work with the "Die Another Day" director on the new movie

"Next" and insists she wouldn't think about pulling out of the project

because of Tamahori's scandal.

 

 

She says, "I feel bad for him. I think the experience was probably pretty

upsetting and humiliating and he's been very, very brave about it."

 

 

The former James Bond director was arraigned in Los Angeles last week after

allegedly soliciting an undercover cop, while dressed as a woman.

 

 

The director was arrested in Hollywood last month, after he approached the

police officer who was in his car, entered the vehicle and offered to

perform a sex act for money.

Ill add my 2 cents. Sheryl and Lance look the same age face wise - her real age, in the 40's. I dont think she looks that young in the face. She looks pretty much her age. She is no Teri Hatcher and I will give her that. Teris face looks 50 or more. Body wise, Sheryl and Lance look about in their early 30's which is his age.

Eavesdroppers propping up the bar at the Ritz in Paris have reported how

Kate Moss and her mates were enjoying a bit of a chuckle at Sienna Miller's

expense.

 

 

The Daily Mail reports what their source overheard: "Kate and her friends

were pretty loud and not very discreet...

 

 

"Someone mentioned Sienna and the rumours that she has split with Jude. The

whole gang burst out laughing.

 

 

"Kate made a catty remark about how Sienna didn't deserve to be gracing the

covers of so many magazines. She added that she hoped that, after splitting

with Jude, Sienna would not be hanging around with her set any more."

 

 

The Mail's source also goes on to reveal that Kate said: "Sienna isn't a

8 years is a long time by Hollywood standards. Bummer....I like her as an actress. Wished it could work out for them. Its sad to invest that much time at that young age and then flop. Ah well.....wonder if she is a hemophrodite from the blind item. Would explain things.

I know some though are naturally thin.....I am now a size 6-8 depending on the brand. I weight right around 135 now. Before I turned 25 I never ever watched what I ate and I weighed in at a whopping 111 to 114. I have a set of medical records showing this is the range of my weight up til around 25 and I got married. Everyone says I am thin now but I feel big myself sometimes just because I used to be so skinny..........I am 5'8 too.
