    Usher

Usher quietly marries after canceling glitzy wedding NEW YORK (Reuters) - R&B singer Usher married his pregnant girlfriend in a small, private ceremony in his lawyer's office on Friday, just six days after canceling a lavish, star-studded wedding, according to reports on Monday. The couple were to have been married on July 28 at a glitzy ceremony on Long Island, New York, but the wedding was canceled that day with no reason given. Us Weekly magazine's Web site reported that Usher, 28, whose full name is Usher Raymond, and stylist Tameka Foster exchanged vows on Friday in his lawyer's office in their home state of Georgia. "I exchanged vows with Tameka Foster in Atlanta on Friday and we are happily married," Usher told Us Weekly. The marriage came after speculation that the couple had called the wedding off because of arguments involving everything from the wedding plans to the fact that Usher's mother and former manager, Jonetta Patton, didn't approve of Foster. Foster 37, dismissed those rumors, telling People magazine that she had a pregnancy "scare" brought on by the stress of the wedding and was hospitalized for a couple of days. Patton was reported to have been at Friday's ceremony. Usher and Foster announced their engagement in March and later revealed that Foster was pregnant with their first child together. She has three children from a previous marriage. The singer has won five Grammy awards. He also has added acting to his resume, starring in a 2005 movie, "In the Mix," and a year later performing on Broadway in the musical "Chicago." yahoonews

    Usher

It's on people.com as well Usher & Tameka Foster's Wedding Canceled SATURDAY JULY 28, 2007 12:30 PM EDT SATURDAY JULY 28, 2007 01:15 PM EDT UPDATED Usher and Foster Photo by: GettyUsher & Tameka Foster's Wedding Canceled | Usher Raymond The wedding of Usher and Tameka Foster, originally planned for Saturday afternoon at record executive LA Reid's home in New York's Hamptons, has been canceled, a representative for Usher confirms to PEOPLE . A source also says that the 70 to 100 guests who were expected at the wedding are being advised that the event will not take place as originally planned. Flower decorations have also been seen being removed from the Reid home. In a statement to the Associated Press, publicist Patti Webster said, "It was announced today that the wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond IV and Tameka Foster was canceled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected." This was to have been the first marriage for the R&B singer and actor, 28 (real name: Usher Raymond), and the second for Foster, 37, a stylist who has worked with Lauryn Hill and Toni Braxton – as well as with Usher. The couple, who became engaged earlier this year, first became a serious item a year and a half ago, Foster has said. In January, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together, due the fall. Foster has three other children from a previous marriage, to Noontime Music cofounder Ryan Glover. Webster would not comment on whether Usher and Foster are still engaged or even remain a couple.

Remakes you don't want to happen

I think that remakes are generally underwhelming. I don't think I can up with a remake that I liked better than the original. I can live without Hollywood ever remaking a movie. I wish they could come up with more original movies than constant remakes or sequels. Then again, I guess it's what the audience wants, the top three grossing movies of this year so far are Spidey 3, Shrek 3 and Pirates 3. HP 5 will probably join those movies soon.

    Eddie Murphy

Damage control alert!!!! Eddie Murphy Not a Sore Loser? Eddie Murphy left his seat at the Kodak Theatre after losing the Best Supporting Actor Oscar (for Dreamgirls) to Little Miss Sunshine's Alan Arkin – but his rep says the comedian would have done the same thing even if he'd won. "Eddie had always planned on leaving after his category was announced to spend the rest of the evening with his family," says rep Arnold Robinson, adding, "He did the same thing following the Golden Globe Awards." (Murphy did win at the Globes.) Reports that Murphy stormed out of the auditorium after losing circulated widely on the Internet after the show. Both Page Six and TMZ.com report that star was being "a sore loser" after the upset. (Murphy was considered by many to be the favorite to win the category.) But the actor, who was accompanied at the show by his girlfriend Tracey Edmonds, didn't exactly make a hasty exit. After they left their seats the couple were spotted just outside the theater doors in heavy conversation – and in a group hug – with studio head Harvey Weinstein. people.com I call total bullshit on this. JHud's category wasn't presented yet and the girls performance wasn't done at this point either. If this is true, he could at least stayed for that. I still vote sore loser

    Helen Mirren

She'd better win the Oscar, she was brilliant in The Queen. She will also be the oldest winner since Jessica Tandy to win best Actress, in recent years only 'young hot actresses' under 40 won best actress, some of them beat out more deserving older actresses imo and if Helen wins it will at least make me stop bitching for a while about age discrimination at the Oscars.

    Beyonce and Jay-Z

how dares Meryl Streep to be actually a better actress than Beyonce. I can't wait for his outcry when she doesn't get an Oscar nomination(I go with Streep, Winslet, Dench, Cruz and Mirren for that category)

    Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum and Seal Have a Boy Heidi Klum and her husband, Seal, have welcomed a baby boy, according to the supermodel's Web site. Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel was born Wednesday at 5:01 p.m. in Los Angeles. "He is healthy, beautiful and looks just like his mother," according to the post signed by Seal. In announcing the 8 lb. 11 oz. arrival, the new dad wrote, "To our children, a brother/ To our parents, a grandson/ To my wife and I, a son/ To our family, a blessing." The baby is the third child for the supermodel and her second with the British singer, who is also father to the couple's 1-year-old son, Henry Guenther Ademola Dashtu Samuel. Klum's 2-year-old daughter, Leni, is from a previous relationship with Formula One manager Flavio Briatore. Klum, 33, and Seal, 43, confirmed that they were expecting another child exclusively to PEOPLE in June. The couple began dating in February 2004, while Klum was pregnant with Leni, and married in May 2005 on a beach near the singer's home on Mexico's luxurious Costa Careyes. From the start, Seal (real name: Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel) was like a father to Leni. "The arrival of any child brings you a lot of happiness," he told PEOPLE last year prior to the birth of Henry. "If we're lucky enough, we'll have more." Klum, the German-born star of Bravo's Project Runway wholeheartedly concurs. In August she told Life magazine, "We want to have a lot of children. (Seal) always says that he finds me the most beautiful when I'm pregnant." Last November, just two months after Henry was born, the proud papa told PEOPLE that he and Klum "try to spend as much time as possible together. There are days we never get out of our pajamas. We play with the kids in bed, watch TV, cook, hang out." people.com
