It's been announced that Justin Timberlake will film in a new movie about baseball. In it he will portray a fictional Hooks minor league baseball player. The Open Road is currently being shot in Hammond, La.

 

The film revolves around a young man trying to reconnect with his dad, while his mom is home sick. Mary Steenburgen and Jeff Bridges are also in the film.

 

Justin has also starred in Alpha Dog, Black Snake Moan and Shrek The Third with his ex-girlfriend, Cameron Diaz.

 

Hopefully, he doesn't strike out.

Timberlake to star in baseball movie

 

 

The new star of the Corpus Christi Hooks minor league baseball team wants some playing tips.

 

Justin Timberlake will portray fictional Hooks player Carlton Garrett in the upcoming movie "The Open Road." The 27-year-old pop star tried to meet with players of the Houston Astros' Double-A team in Austin recently, but schedules didn't align.

 

"Justin wants to portray what it's like playing for the Hooks, playing for an Astros minor league team and playing at Whataburger Field," Hooks President J.J. Gottsch said.

 

"The Open Road" is the story of a young man trying to reconnect with his father — a legendary athlete played by Jeff Bridges — as he struggles to get home to his ailing mother. Mary Steenburgen and Kate Mara are also in the film.

 

Writer-director Michael Meredith, son of former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Don Meredith and a former University of Texas student, drew on his Texas ties for the concept, Gottsch said.

 

While most of the real Hooks are preparing for spring training, Gottsch remained hopeful that a handful of players may be able to consult with Timberlake — No. 31 in the movie — about his role.

 

Shooting on the movie began Tuesday in Hammond, La.

 

Last year, Timberlake voiced a character in the Mike Myers opus "Shrek the Third." His screen credits also include "Alpha Dog" and "Black Snake Moan."

A source said, "Kate is very private and refuses to be seen with him in public. She doesn't want to be humiliated like Cameron Diaz was when he dumped her. But they talk every day on the phone and see each other often." Reps for both Kate and Justin deny they are dating.

 

What the hell? Do reporters and writers just draw names out of a hat and decide who will be dating this week? Kate and Justin do make sense though. Both of them are probably the most annoying bitches on the planet. Maybe their annoying personalities would cancel each other out?

Remember when Madonna initially backed Britney Spears as her replacement? She was wearing Britney T-shirts when she performed, tongued her during the VMAs and guested on her album? She backed the wrong horse.

 

Madonna's new album features production by Timbaland, and guest appearances by JT so she's been all up in his area since then. I heard part of their new track "4 Minutes To Save The World" and I was...it was really short, I can't judge but I want to lurve it. Someone help me to love it.

Justin Timberlake is Bringing Goofy and Sexy Back

 

 

Justin Timberlake is pulling out all the stops to play the character, Jacques Grande, for the Mike Myers film, "The Love Guru." The movie stars Myers as a love guru named Pitka, who tries to break into the self-help business. Timberlake plays an athlete who steal the heart of the wife of a hockey player. Jessica Alba is also in the film, and I'm guessing she plays some sort of love interest/sexy girl who occasionally falls down or gets bumped in the head to wacky effect.

 

I'm not sure of any more details, except that this means that Justin Timberlake can be seen in the movie, often walking around shirtless and/or wearing little more than a Speedo and lots of fake hair on his head and face. I have to admit that I might be too old now for this kind of movie wackiness anymore, but Justin does look good with his shirt off. Keep up the good work, J.T.

Justin Timberlake Gyrates in a Speedo in New Movie

 

Justin Timberlake shows off his comedic chops – and his body by wearing a skimpy Speedo in a new movie trailer.

 

The Grammy-winning singer, dressed in the swimming suit and donning a moustache, gyrates and speaks in an exaggerated French accent in a trailer for the upcoming Mike Meyers movie The Love Guru that hit the Web Friday.

 

The movie tells the story of Pitka (Meyers), an American raised in an Indian ashram, who comes back o the U.S. to make his fortune as a self-help leader. He is tasked with settling a rift between a hockey star and his estranged wife, who starts dating L.A. Kings hockey star Jacques Grande (Timberlake.)

 

Timberlake, 27, has had numerous film roles in movies such as Alpha Dog, Southland Tales and Black Snake Moan. He also starred in the mega-popular Saturday Night Live video "D--- in a Box."

 

The Love Guru also stars Jessica Alba, Verne Troyer, Romany Malco and Ben Kingsley.

Justin Gets It Out of a Box and Into a Speedo

 

 

We were pleasantly surprised by the trailer for Mike Myers' new movie, The Love Guru (out June 20). It's actually funny! Of course, that said, Mike's character Pitka, a love guru who comes to the States for fame and fortune, reminds us a bit of Austin Powers. Sure, he has longer hair and a different accent, but he has the same uncanny ability to charm women who are way, way, way hotter than him. This time around it's Jessica Alba.

 

But if Mike and a good chuckle aren't enough reason to check out the trailer, what about Justin Timberlake in a Speedo? Yup, the singer shows off some of his, um, lesser-known assets in a skimpy Speedo. And if the hip thrusts he does in the banana hammock are any indication, he's not exactly shy about his wardrobe — or lack thereof. Now we know why JT's girlfriends are always smiling.

Despite multiple sources confirming that Justin Timberlake and Kate Hudson have gotten cozy (which their reps deny) since he started dating Jessica Biel, the singer, 27, showed Biel he was all hers on March 3 in New Orleans.

 

Us Weekly reports that Timberlake, who is filming “The Open Road” in various Louisiana cities, was overheard saying he was taking the star (who flew in days earlier from England, where she just wrapped “Easy Virtue”) out “for a special dinner” for her 26th birthday.

 

And don't think she made her trip to the Big Easy for a big blowout over Hudson. “There’s no tension surrounding those cheating rumors,” a pal of the pair told the magazine. “Everything’s fine.”

Justin Timberlake is making his first foray into primetime TV. The "SexyBack" star is the executive producer for an American adaptation of the hit Peruvian comedy My Problem With Women for NBC, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

 

With Britney Spears and Cameron Diaz among his failed relationships, the 27-year-old entertainer must relate to the show's protagonist, Jose, a thirty-something who turns to therapy to solve his dating woes.

 

"We think [Justin] is the best artists in the world across different platforms, and we want to tap his creative energy and storytelling abilities," said Reveille exec Howard Owens, who has also collaborated on the hit remakes of The Office and Ugly Betty.

It’s a branching out for the “SexyBack” singer, who recently appeared alongside Jeff Bridges to shoot the baseball movie The Open Road in rural Louisiana.

 

But his latest venture will see the performer, 27, remaining behind the camera, as an executive producer.

 

The project, which has received a script commitment from NBC, is based on the Peruvian show Mi Problema con las Mujeres.

Justin Recalls Dropping Pants for Madonna

When Madonna orders you to drop trou, you drop trou, Justin Timberlake admitted while inducting the pop diva into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Monday night in New York.

 

Madonna, 49, offered the "SexyBack" singer, 27, a B-12 shot – and, apparently, not in the arm – last year while they were working on her new album, Hard Candy, he explained to the audience inside the Waldorf-Astoria ballroom.

 

He thought she was going to call a doctor for the injection, but instead, "She proceeds to pull a Ziploc bag of B-12 syringes out [of her purse] and says, 'Drop 'em.'

 

"I don't know what you say to that, so I immediately dropped my pants. She gave me a shot in my a-- and looks at me and says, 'Nice top shelf.' That was one of the greatest days of my life."

 

Correcting him when she took the stage, Madonna said, "Everything he said is basically true, but I didn't say 'drop 'em,' I said, 'pull your pants down.' I like to be accurate because you know I am a control freak."

 

Sexually Charged Speech

Timberlake's sexually charged speech praised Madonna for her "shapely body of work" and how she's "always been a woman on top" who "fully enjoys that position."

 

Madonna, naturally, wasn't one to curb her tongue herself – revealing that she and legendary A&R exec Michael Rosenblatt "did a tab of ecstasy and danced the night away" when she met him back in her days as a rising star.

 

Madonna blamed Timberlake for the innuendos in her speech, saying, "He's rubbing off on me. He's bringing sexy back." Turning to him, she said, "I'll get you, f-----!"

 

Timberlake took a few shots at past love Britney Spears, saying that in between changing the face of music and becoming a music icon, Madonna "found time to publicly kiss someone I may or may not have kissed myself – while I was in the audience. Of course, you all know who I'm talking about: Sean Penn."

 

Referring to the number of "Madonna wannabes" out there, he said, "I might have even dated a couple of them. But there is truly only one Madonna."

 

In one of the most memorable Hall of Fame performances, Iggy Pop performed his own versions of Madonna's hits, "Burnin' Up" and "Ray of Light," gyrating shirtless on stage before jumping into Madonna's lap in the audience.

 

"It was a lot of fun," she told him in the kitchen after the performance. "Well done."

Thanks to the actions of father-cum-conservator Jamie Spears, Britney spends most of her time at home nowadays. That can’t be easy for the pop star, who previously devoted every night to public outings under the watchful eye of the paparazzi. According to OK! magazine, Britney’s already grown tired of “house arrest” in the Mediterranean-style villa she calls home.

 

With no late-night lighter runs or fast-food fixes, Britney’s limited to whatever entertainment she can find. Apparently trying different outfits is one of her new favorite activities. “Changing clothes all day long must seem harmless enough, so her dad doesn’t interfere with that,” a friend told the magazine.

 

Though it may seem surprising given the disorder in the rest of her life, Britney keeps her place tidy. “Her life may seem out of control, but the inside of her house is very ordered,” another Brit pal shared. “She’s very clean and has no clutter.”

Justin Timberlake Donates $200,000 to His Hometown

Justin Timberlake doesn't just bring "SexyBack." The 27-year-old singer also knows how to give back – in a big way.

 

On Thursday, the Memphis native gave two separate donations of $100,000 to the Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum and the Memphis Music Foundation.

 

"Music education and keeping the legacy of Memphis Music alive has always been important to me," says Timberlake, who is in his hometown filming the indie flick, The Open Road. "That is why I will always continue to support my home town the same way they have always supported me."

 

The organizations will use Timberlake's contributions to advance music education for local students and further achieve its mission of "telling the story of Memphis Music and perpetuating its legacy."

 

"Justin Timberlake has never deserted Memphis, Tennessee," Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Executive Director John Doyle said. "He has never stopped giving back to the community, to the local music industry, and to young people."

Justin Timberlake to host the ESPYs

 

 

Justin Timberlake is hosting an awards show — and it's not the Grammys.

 

ESPN has lined up the 27-year-old singer-actor to host its annual ESPY Awards show this summer, celebrating some of the best and funniest moments in sports over the past year.

 

The ceremony, to be held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles on July 20, will be televised live on ESPN, the network said Wednesday.

 

Timberlake says he's a sports junkie.

 

"I'll do my best to deliver a great show, as I do not want to be roughed up backstage by these athletes who are bigger, faster and stronger than me," he said.

 

Timberlake will be in the summertime movie, "The Love Guru," with Mike Myers and Jessica Alba. He recently showed a different kind of stage presence when he inducted Madonna into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Madonna and Justin Timberlake 'Tie One On' After Concert

 

What could keep die-hard workout queen Madonna from the gym? A shot of tequila, and maybe a lemon drop.

 

The singer, who sounded groggy and admitted to having a hangover on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show Thursday morning, said that she and Justin Timberlake hit the town after performing a free concert in Manhattan on Wednesday.

 

"We had to celebrate," Madonna, 49, said. "[We] decided we both work too hard and have to have fun."

 

Adding that she defied her usual mantra of "work hard, and work so hard here's no time to play," the singer told Seacrest: "I had a shot of tequila ... I may have had a lemon drop, too … We 'tied one on' as they say.

 

Madonna and Timberlake, who sings on her single ”4 Minutes," may have looked like BFFs Wednesday, but there was a time when the friends would "tip-toe around" each other in the studio. The pop stars barely knew each other when they began to work on her new album, and Madge reveals she was nervous about it.

 

"When you write music, the first thing that enters your brain is, 'I don’t want to say it, and I don't want to share it, 'cause they might think it’s stupid. And that happens to everybody," she told Seacrest.

 

But these days, Madonna has nothing but accolades for Timberlake. "He's ambitious but not in an offensive way," she said. "He's incredibly responsible and he’s good at what he does and I think he has a long future in front of him. He understands the insanity of being a pop star."

 

No stranger to controversy, Madonna, also chimed in on the Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photo scandal, telling Seacrest, "Leave her alone. She’s gonna be 16 soon and then 17 and then 18, and then she might show her knees and then what's gonna happen?"
