There are about a thousand stories about them this week with the Caitlyn stuff, the Mickey Mouse birthday, the letter to her future self, etc but I just don't have the energy to post any more entries in the "dumb-ass shit" thread.

What's going to happen to Lucille? If ever anything (at least one of the versions of Lucille) belonged in the Smithsonian, that's a given!

Didn't he die a long time ago? Yes, a quick search tells me he died in July of last year. Maybe something was recycled and people thought it was new?

Just saw that it is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

I mean that little baby Kate had seriously dark eyebrows. Again, I come from the "so pale you're almost clear" color spectrum, so maybe I'm just not used to that on a baby!

I actually think it's too much pressure on the kid to name her Diana. I DO think that will be one of her middle names. I like both Alice and Charlotte. I wouldn't like Alice for my own kid, but for a princess with a brother named George, it works. ETA and WOW, Kate had some serious baby eyebrows in that Telegraph article picture. Maybe it's just because I had really fair kids with invisible baby brows, but those were big.

Yeah, I read an interview with Cissy this morning where she basically said she's gone, but her body could live a full lifetime the way it is. What a horrible prospect. I'm glad that I have my wishes clearly stated in this situation and that I have family who will honor that since we all feel the same.

Australia’s daily newspaper the Gold Coast Bulletin reports today that the Oscar nominee “failed to board his scheduled private charter flight from Los Angeles back to Australia” where he was due to resume filming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. People miss flights all the time, though! So why is Depp’s alleged airline absence noteworthy? Because both the Bulletin and now People are reporting that Depp has not alerted the Pirates of the Caribbean crew of his whereabouts and is essentially off the grid. Production on the mega-budget movie had already been halted once after the actor injured his hand in early March and flew back to the U.S. for surgery. Depp was scheduled to begin filming again, as his beloved Keith Richards–inspired character, Captain Jack Sparrow, this week. With Depp M.I.A. though, production is said to have quickly shuffled the shooting schedule so that the crew could film certain scenes without their franchise star present. So just where is Depp and what exactly is going on? In the five years since he was proclaimed Hollywood’s highest-paid movie star, grossing an estimated $75 million in 2010, the frequent Tim Burton collaborator has fallen out of critical favor with projects like The Tourist, The Rum Diary, Dark Shadows, The Lone Ranger, and, most recently, the Gwyneth Paltrow co-starring box-office bomb Mortdecai. The Telegraph branded Depp’s most recent movie, which was intended as a comedy, as “psychotically unfunny.” The Guardian reported that Hollywood’s once eccentric charmer was “insufferable” in his attempt to bring Kyril Bonfiglioli’s comic novel to life. And The Hollywood Reporter did not mince words in its write-up, brutally opining that “this charmless farce ends up as another black mark on Depp's recent track record of patchy pet projects.” Some of the actor’s offscreen antics have seemed similarly befuddling for one of Hollywood’s most respected leading men. In November, the actor made a bizarre appearance at the Hollywood Film Awards, cursing his way through a presenter speech. In January, Depp missed a press conference for Mortdecai and later blamed his absence on a chupacabra attack. The same month, a very tired-looking Depp talked to Jimmy Kimmel about working so incessantly that he had long lost count of his film projects. In February, it seemed as though Depp was bound for personal happiness after marrying his girlfriend, Amber Heard, on his 45-acre island in the Bahamas. But in the two months of matrimony that followed, outlets have painted a stormy picture of this A-list pairing, with Page Six publishing a report on Monday detailing alleged marital “problems” between the newlyweds. People echoes this claim with its own report suggesting that the Depps had relationship issues even before their wedding and are essentially living separate lives. A source tells the glossy magazine that, before his hand injury, Depp was “partying hard” and “didn't seem to care at all about filming.” The insider also reports that there have been rumors on set that Depp disappeared to get treatment in rehab. But maybe Depp’s decision to not board his flight back to the Pirates franchise did not have to do with his rocky career patch or his personal life. Maybe our overly-accessorized movie darling just needed a break, and is holed up in some hotel room, ordering room service and binge-watching Orange Is the New Black and the other Netflix glories he missed out on while being a Movie Star. And after grossing $8 billion at the global box office over a three-decade career, doesn’t Depp deserve at least that?

I'm wondering if all this bad PR ends up with a "leak" of her questionable parentage to try to buy him sympathy as the betrayed man.

I also read the Amy Poehler book and was disappointed. It's like she tries too hard to be the cool kid. Parts of it were funny. I read The Thousand Autumns of Jacob DeZoet by David Mitchell. The first hundred pages were LOOOOONNNG but after that it picked up. I read The Round House by Lois Erdich (? Can't remember) and that was very good. Last book was As You Wish by Cary Elwes. Perfectly pleasant but completely devoid of gossip. I finished the Deborah Harkness trilogy too, but didn't really like the third book. My New Years resolution was to read (among my own choices) one book per month that was picked out by a friend. The David Mitchell book and the Round House were both friend picks as was Lamb, by Christopher Moore. I loved that one, even though I am not a very religious person.

Honestly, I can't think of anything to say about Giuliana that isn't just mean. I do NOT understand how that woman made it in such a looks-based industry. For that reason alone I belive she has the room to be incredibly insecure and I totally buy that about her. Especially because I think her husband probably totally feeds into her insecurity.

I read today that Gordon is going to rehab now as a result of the intervention.

I have no way of knowing if any of this is true, if it's sour grapes, if it's a way to keep him from getting the money, or if it's just lashing out in pain, but all of it is just sad, sad, sad.

His fixation on Beyoncé is weird. His behavior really should get him banned, and if I were Jay-Z I wouldn't want to be associated with him. It reflects poorly on Beyoncé every time he does this, whether or not it should. It also comes across to most people watching (based on Twitter and the "Kanye hates white people" meme) as extremely racist. Also, Kim looked like she was wearing a tacky bath robe at the awards and he kept pushing her as the pinnacle of style. She is trashy, she looks trashy, if he thinks she looks stylish because he picked it for her... Ugh. There are a lot of celebrities who irritate the crap out of me. Kanye has become someone that is a deal breaker for me. His narcissism is so incredible it is hard to believe. His sense of entitlement... I have literally become a worse human being because of Kanye in that I want something bad to happen to knock him down a lot. I am seriously bummed that Paul McCartney gave him any form of legitimacy because any artistry he possesses has just been completely overtaken by douchiness.

I'm just disgusted that he's become such a middle aged cliché.

Well, she's starting to get "old" so I predict this is the first of many changes for Paris. Old and desperate.

I just typed this and then the inter webs ate it, so hopefully it won't double post. The picture in the mediatakeout article appears to be of a woman with dry hair, which I would think wouldn't be the case, but then again I don't know the timeline of the picture. Either way, I think they crossed a gossip line I'm not willing to go over. I don't think it's cool to either take or publish pictures of a celebrity dead or dying. It makes me feel dirty for having seen it.

So sad that she is just repeating history.

I just read that Eddie and LeAnn's show got cancelled, so I change my vote to them. I think that was all that was keeping them together. Oh, they'll wait a brief period so it's not SO obvious, but I think they are done.
