I was thinking that Fame and all that goes with might have changed Gwen - I really like her -- for all her flash, she comes across as pretty genuine. And given the rumors swirling around Gavin, I am not surprised that the Lainey is supportive of her -- I am too.

ummm, Gwen's cheating wouldn't affect spousal support unless he had some type of prenup. California is a no fault state. It will be interesting to see if he goes after LAMB though, she built that company up while she was married so it is fair game as far as a community property claim goes. (To listen to Courtney Love (and who does) tell it, the only reason that company is where it is is because Gavin was behind the management. As far as cheating goes, I think that this actually works in Gwen's favor given all the rumors surrounding Gavin. Their break up makes me sad. I had a friend who lived near her when she was growing up. According to my friend, Gwen was about as unassuming as they come. People change. *sigh*

How bad am I that I cannot feel bad for any of the players in this soap opera? I can't feel bad for the Browns or the Houstons because (if there is a conspiracy) that they are condoning and participating in same in order to get their grubby little hands on Houston's money I can't feel bad for Gordon because I do think that he did do something to contribute to Bobbi's death and I don't feel bad for Bobbi because I think she should have learned from the poor example her mother set. If there is a baby, and it is Bobbi's, I will feel bad -- if only because he or she will grow up having to deal with the Browns and the Houstons as relatives. i will probably burn for being so unsympathetic but these people are all about bad choices and money.

According to celebritynetworth Affleck has about twice as much as Garner which would make sense because she is been at home watching the kids for the most part and he has been off making movies. As for the 10 year mark, yes it does make support more of a certainty but that doesn't mean she won't getting support for herself. In marriages of less than 10 years, if she can prove up need she will get it and it usually its about half the length of the marriage, whereas a long term marriage is pretty for life unless the spouse remarries. I think (if I were Ben) I would be more concerned about the lack of a prenup -- if he has a piece of the pictures he has acted or directed that he made during the course of the marriage, she would be entitled to a community property share. She is going to get a big chunk for child support. As for whatever dirt he wants to keep hidden, his personal life is pretty trashed and doesn't everybody know that?
