The stunning actress says she doesn't rely on the help of a stylist when she goes to red-carpet events as she puts her outfits together herself and doesn't always stick to the rules.

She said: "I really dress myself. I've been known to put a necklace in my hair. That's what getting dressed should be. It's about fun and experimenting. I think you either enjoy it or you don't - and I do."

The beauty was speaking at the Ann Taylor fashion show last week and was impressed with what she saw.

She said: "The shoes and the purses are amazing. You can add them to a plain outfit to add a little pop. That's what's great about Ann Taylor -you can incorporate it into your own wardrobe."

However, Rachel admits she is a hoarder and holds on to her clothes for longer than she should.

The 28-year-old star told People magazine: "I have a problem, in that I hold on to things that I've had since I was 13-years-old . . . So, yes, I probably should get rid of some stuff."

Robert Pattinson fears Hugh Grant comparisons

"Twilight" star Robert Pattinson is refusing to sign up for any romantic comedy movies - because he fears he'll be hailed as the next Hugh Grant.

The British hunk, who shot to international fame in the vampire franchise, has been offered a number of romantic comedy roles, but has been unimpressed with every script he's received so far.

And he's worried that if he heads down the rom-com route, he will draw comparisons to fellow Brit heartthrob Grant.

Speaking on Britain's GMTV, Pattinson says, "I'd love to (star in a romantic comedy) but they're always just so rubbish. I mean it's like... I'd absolutely love to do it but I've literally never read a good rom-com script... I think it's such a typical career choice for me as well to be honest - if you do a big franchise thing, especially for English guys, you know, (it's natural to) try and do a Hugh Grant part or something, which I don't think would be the best idea for me, mainly because it's quite hard to be Hugh Grant."

Chloe Sevigny: 'Big Love comments were taken out of context'

Actress Chloe Sevigny has apologized for blasting the latest season of her TV drama "Big Love" as "awful," insisting her comments were misinterpreted.

The star, who plays a fundamentalist Mormon wife in the hit series, risked the wrath of TV bosses when she appeared to take aim at the show's writers.

She was reported as saying, "It was awful this season, as far as I'm concerned. I'm not allowed to say that! ...I feel like it kind of got away from itself...

"I mean, I love the show, I love my character, I love the writing, but I felt like they were really pushing it this last season. And with nine episodes, I think they were just squishing too much in... But I hope the fans will stick with us and tune in next year. There's a lot of people who really love this season, surprisingly. God, I'm going to get in so much trouble."

But Sevigny has moved quickly to play down her remarks, blaming the media for blowing the situation out of proportion.

She tells Entertainment Weekly, "I feel pretty terrible. I feel like what I said was taken out of context."

50 Cent earns $75,000 for one-word club greeting

Rapper 50 Cent was laughing all the way to the bank following a guest appearance at a British club on Thursday, March 25 - he earned $75,000 for uttering one word to club-goers.

Bosses of the new nightspot Bamboo in Liverpool, England persuaded the "In Da Club" hitmaker to turn up to the club's opening night by offering him the staggering sum, as well as an array of free champagne and two beautiful girls to stay by his side all night.

Hundreds of revelers turned out to see the superstar, but they were disappointed after he only left his VIP spot to say "Hey" to the packed club before returning to his entourage, according to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper.

A source tells the publication, "It was the most blinging night ever. People though 50 Cent might perform a track or two, given his massive fee, but he just greeted the crowd with 'Hey' and got back to his two personally requested ladies, who were lavishing booze on him."

Kelsey Grammer Swings Dirt Cheap Settlement

Kelsey Grammer just paid $10 to make a lawsuit over "Swing Vote" disappear forever -- less than the cost of a ticket to see the flick.

Kelsey and a host of others were sued back in August 2008 by Bradley Blakeman, who claimed the movie was his idea. The judge threw out claims against Kevin Costner, Disney and the other defendants, leaving only Grammer.

The case was going so bad, rather than continue on ... Blakeman accepted $10 from Kelsey about a week ago... and it went away.

Let's hope this is the last time someone has to fork over money for "Swing Vote." Kidding ...

Green Day: 'New Album Is Back To Basics'

Green Day's frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has said that their new album will go "back to the basics".

The band, who released 21st Century Breakdown last year, recently revealed that they are already working on songs for the next LP.

Armstrong has since admitted that they tried to record material using old equipment from when the group first started.

"It's just been songwriting right now. Instead of doing it later on, we decided to start doing stuff now... It's all back to the basics again. Just getting in a room together and start jamming," he said.

"We set up all of our old gear, which was like an experiment. We set up all of our equipment from 1992, and we sat in a room. We got in, and I was like, 'Come on, guys, we're getting back in!' and I [start playing] and go, 'This sounds like sh*t'. Everything sounded so bad."

He added: "Me and [drummer] Tre [Cool] were looking at Billie going, 'Really, you've got to pull out that POS amp?' I mean, it really sounded like crap.

"It's still really early. We've got to start translating the songs and explaining the songs, and the next step will be arguing about the songs."

Green Day's American Idiot musical premiered in the US last week.

Kelis Ordered To Pay For Weave

Kelis has been ordered to pay over £3,000 for a hair weave after allegedly failing to pay the salon bill.

The singer reportedly received the hairstyle at a salon in Santa Monica, California last May, but faced a court order over the alleged outstanding debt.

According to TMZ, Kelis failed to show up for yesterday's trial so the judge was forced to impose a default judgement.

The 'Acapella' singer was ordered to pay the full amount of £3,125.

Smith Causes Problems On Wife's TV Show

Will Smith has reportedly caused massive disruptions to his wife's television show.

The Men In Black star, whose wife Jada Pinkett Smith plays a nurse on medical drama HawthoRNe, has allegedly been irritating cast and crew members by turning up with "pages of notes and rewrite requests" every week.

An industry insider told the New York Daily News: "He is not currently shooting a movie, so he's been a constant on the set in recent weeks.

"He's been inserting his input and requesting so many changes to the script that it pushed back the production schedule tremendously and caused everything to spiral out of control. Everyone is praying for him to book a new movie so that he will go away."

Mario Lopez: 'Baby's Gender A Surprise'

Mario Lopez has announced that he does not want to know his baby's sex ahead of the birth.

Speaking with Ellen DeGeneres, the star admitted that his friends and family are dismayed by the decision.

"People are very upset that I'm not finding out what the sex is going to be," he said. "I think that is one of life's great surprises. I want to be, 'Oh, it's a girl', and 'Oh, it's a boy'."

The ex-Saved by the Bell actor went on to say that he and his girlfriend Courtney Mazza are unconcerned with potentially not being prepared for the baby's gender.

"I'll be alright with gifts and maybe a coat of paint on the wall," he continued.

However, Lopez added that he is struggling with the name of his child.

Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford has reportedly joked that he can copy the voice heard in movie trailers.

The 24-year-old actor, who plays Nate Archibald in the CW drama, told People that speaking in the famous tone is his hidden talent.

"I can really do the movie trailer voice. I love the mock trailers from Tropic Thunder, 'We brought you Scorcher One. We brought you Scorcher Two'," he joked.

Crawford also revealed that the first time he realised he was famous was when he saw himself on a giant billboard in New York City.

"Ed [Westwick] and I had just moved to the city and we walked out of our old apartment, turned the corner and there's a massive billboard of the Gossip Girl cast," he said. "We just kind of just stood there a minute. That was pretty big!"

Steve Carell has revealed that is always surprised to find that he is working. The actor shot to fame in 40 Year Old Virgin and has since gone on to star in Little Miss Sunshine and the American version of The Office.

He teams up with funny woman Tina Fey for his next movie Date Night, which is directed by Shawn Levy.

Speaking to MSN the actor said: "It doesn't sound sincere but it is: I'm always surprised that I'm working, that I have a job doing what we're doing.

"Tina felt the same way the first few days of shooting. So, no, I tend not to plan ahead.

"Five years ago, I could have never imagined any of this happening. I try to just enjoy it.

"If I could continue to do this sort of thing - I don't have any pretence of doing serious drama or directing. If any of that happens, fine.

Maybe I'll do nothing, because I'm very good at that. I can get lazy. I don't think I'm a very driven person.

When I have work, I work very hard. But when I don't work, I really don't do anything. I could easily just fade away."

Date night follows a married couple who, after a case of mistaken identity, find their attempt at a glamorous and romantic evening turn into something more thrilling and dangerous.

Date Night is released 21st April.

James Franco Accepted To Yale

James Franco has been accepted to Yale University's English PhD program.

The Yale Daily News confirmed the report with Franco's manager, who said that the university is his "first choice" school.

The 31-year-old, who has yet to enroll in the course, previously earned an undergraduate degree at UCLA, studied film at New York University and received his MFA at Columbia.

The Spider-Man actor recently wrapped a recurring stint on ABC daytime soap General Hospital.

Franco has signed to appear in director Danny Boyle's forthcoming 127 Hours.

Miley Cyrus to quit music after next album

Miley Cyrus has promised to turn her back on music for good and concentrate on movies - insisting she's "done" with pop once her next album is released in June.

The singer/actress shot to international stardom playing schoolgirl-turned-secret pop star Hannah Montana, landing the part when she was just 12 years old.

She announced last year she only has one season of the hit Disney show left, admitting she feels "claustrophobic" because she has "grown out of" the role.

And it's not only her teen show she has outgrown - the star wants to leave the music industry for good and become a fully fledged Hollywood actress.

On the red carpet for her new film "The Last Song," Cyrus told reporters, "I've got a record coming out in June and then I'm done. I just want to work in movies. That's what I like and that's what I want to be doing."

Cyrus, daughter of country star Billy Ray Cyrus, has released three albums to date: "Meet Miley Cyrus," "Breakout," and "The Time of Our Lives." Her fourth and final record is titled "I Can't Be Tamed."

Sarah Jessica Parker is no good at giving relationship advice. The 'Sex and the City' star - who has three children with her husband of 12 years, Matthew Broderick - isn't an expert when it comes to romance, but thinks it's important for someone to have complete faith in their partner.

She said: "Oh, I am not a good advice giver but I would say the obvious - lack of communication is where things go wrong for people. I'm certainly no expert in relationships, God knows, but you need to be with someone who believes in you 100 per cent. If you don't have that, there's no point."

The 45-year-old actress wants to be happily married for the rest of her life, and has admitted she wants to continue kissing her co-stars and husband until she is 70 or 80.

Discussing whether she expects to star in romantic comedy films for years to come, she quipped: "God, if they'll have me! I hope so. Not just on screen. I hope that someone will kiss me at home."

With such a hectic home and work life, Sarah doesn't get the chance to watch many movies herself and has no idea how well 'Sex and the City' is received.

She added to new! magazine: "I honestly don't know. I'm not a good judge of how the climate has changed. I don't get to see a lot of movies actually.

"I would like to think that there are roles for women and an audience for women, and I know that our movie surprised people in terms of attendance.

"I believe that women will always go to the movies to see other women tell their stories."

Prince 'Owes Over $500k In Taxes'

Prince reportedly owes $506,000 (£340,000) in outstanding taxes.

The 'Purple Rain' singer, who owns companies PRN Music Corporation and Paisley Park Enterprises Inc, is believed to owe the sum in delinquent property taxes to the state of Minnesota.

The 51-year-old allegedly has until the end of next month to file an objection to the amount and has until 2013 to pay off the debt.

A Carver County tax manager recently revealed that Prince was late in paying taxes in both 2006 and 2008.

Guns N' Roses Face Lawsuit From Management Company

GUNS N' ROSES are facing legal action from the bosses of a personal management company who allege the band owe them $1,870,500 (£1,247,000) for work they carried out during a 2008 world tour.

Front Line Management executives have filed a lawsuit at Los Angeles County Superior Court, claiming they were hired as frontman Axl Rose's personal management team during a trek through Asia, Canada and South America.

In the legal papers, obtained by TMZ.com, the firm's bosses claim they were promised 15 per cent of all money the band made during the tour, but they allege they haven't received any money.

They're asking for at least $1.8 million (£1.2 million) in commissions.

Phil Collins' Nerve Agony

Phil Collins has to tape his drumsticks to his hands.

The former Genesis star has suffered severe nerve damage to his hands and admits he now finds it incredibly difficult to play his instrument.

He explained: "The first time I picked up the drum sticks after my neck surgery, they flew across the room because I couldn't grip them.

"When I play, I've had to tape the sticks to my hand. It's like wearing a condom. It's very strange. It really cramps your style."

It is not only in his performing career that the 59-year-old star's problems are causing him difficulty - he finds many basic day-to-day tasks virtually impossible.

He explained: "I can't let go of the spoon or the knife when I eat. I can't open a car door. I won't get gruesome with you, but there's a lot of things I can't do. I'm left handed."

However, the 'You Can't Hurry Love' hitmaker is hopeful he may soon get relief from his problem.

He added to Rolling Stone magazine: "I'm having an operation soon and there's a good chance of it improving over time."

Phil, 59, is hopeful he will be able to overcome his affliction in order to play live with Genesis again - but only if former frontman Peter Gabriel has time.

He said: "My hands are way down to picking the order of that possibility. Three years ago I didn't know I'd be in this position and three years from now it may not be like this. I think the main thing is Peter's schedule and the speed he works anyways."

Mariah Carey goes swimming with her dogs. The 'Hero' singer decided to bond with her pets while exercising and admits she had a great time splashing around with the pampered pooches.

Mariah - who is married to rapper-and-presenter Nick Cannon - has previously admitted she spoils her Jack Russell dogs Cha Cha and JJ and they even have their own entourage.

Speaking on the set of an advertisement she was shooting, she said: "My puppies are starring in this ad with me, too.

"I had my team with me but the pups had a mini-entourage of their own, of course! And why wouldn't they?

"It was a big shoot and even my entourage had an entourage - my stylist had an assistant, my security had extra security.

Evanescence Reveal More Album Details

Evanescence's Amy Lee believes that she is making the "best album of her life".

The singer, who recently revealed that the band have started recording an electro-influenced album, revealed that they have been busy in the studio.

"[i feel] like I'm making the best album of my life," she told Billboard.

"I feel like so much has already happened. I don't even know where to begin to try to describe it,'cause it's just so many things at once. I'm really excited.

"I know that seems weird to say, but I wouldn't be here in the studio making another record if I didn't think it was going to be better than anything I've ever done."

The 28-year-old also insisted that the new album, the follow-up to 2006's Open The Door, still has the band's familiar sound.

"It wouldn't be an Evanescence album if it didn't sound somewhat like Evanescence," she added.

"I feel like our band has always had programming and inspirations from Bjork and Depeche Mode and Massive Attack and that kind of thing.

"It's not like we're making one of those records; it's just, like, that is playing a bigger role in the sound of Evanescence this time."

Lee said the group, which also includes guitarist Terry Balsamo and bassist Tim McCord, are recording about 16 songs for the unnamed LP.

"Some of them aren't finished lyric-wise or writing-wise, but I really feel like it's mostly there."

The 'Hot N' Cold' singer says tasty fungi are her favourite food and the wide variety of earthy treats are very good for staying slim.

She said: "I love mushrooms. I could eat a ton of them. I really love truffles but I hardly ever get them. Mushrooms in general though are so healthy and good for you. I can't get enough."

Katy - who is engaged to vegetarian funnyman Russell Brand - admits she can't indulge in many of the waist-expanding delicacies she loves, which include Chinese food and pizza, because she puts on weight.

The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer - whose parents Mary and Keith Hudson are both Christian pastors - has reportedly told the British comedian she wants to tie the knot at a location close to her Los Angeles home.

Usher: 'Papers' Was Prophetic'

Usher has said that his newest single was a case of life imitating art, according to MTV News.

The R&B singer, whose song 'Papers' chronicles a man's struggle with a failing marriage, filed for divorce from his wife Tameka Foster last year. Usher claimed that he did not know that he would get a divorce when the song was written.

"I think people would have immediately alluded to the fact I was talking about my wife when I made that record - and now my ex-wife", Usher said. "When the song was recorded, I wasn't divorced."

Foster has also stated that the song was strictly for "entertainment" and should not be taken literally.

Usher will release the album Raymond v. Raymond, produced by Zaytoven and written by Sean Garrett, on March 30.

Shakira has therapy to deal with her body issues.

The sexy singer - who wore a revealing nude-effect leotard in her 'She Wolf' music video - has poor self-esteem regarding her figure and she started going to see a therapist in 2001 to overcome her negative feelings.

She said: "It helped me so much with every aspect of my life, from body image to relationships. My therapist told me why I behaved in certain ways and not to feel so pressured. It's incredibly liberating to spend an hour talking to someone and not caring about what you sound like. It's about understanding myself. Sometimes I'll speak to my therapist for an hour a day. It's become part of my routine."

The Colombian-born beauty says therapy helps her on the inside, but it takes a lot of hard work at the gym to give her the figure, which is the envy of women all over the world.

She told Fabulous magazine: "All through my 20s I spent more time worrying about what I didn't have than thinking about what I did have. I wished I was taller, had longer legs, slimmer hips, a smaller bottom, even straighter hair. I'm just like all women - we're born to criticise ourselves.

"I've worked my butt off to look like this. I've achieved the body I have now through hard work and careful eating. I've worked out every day, either running, doing gym work or dancing.

Nowadays, the 33-year-old pop star looks at just her body shape, and not the bathroom scales.

She said: "I haven't been on the scales for a year but I know I've made my body leaner, trimming my hips and bottom."
