Erykah Badu charged over Dallas nude video shoot

Neosoul singer Erykah Badu faces a disorderly conduct charge for her nude music video shoot in downtown Dallas' Dealey Plaza, officials announced Friday.

Badu, a Dallas native, performed a walking striptease in front of tourists and pedestrians during the March 13 shoot for Badu's "Window Seat" music video. The performance ended with a nude Badu acting out receiving a fatal gunshot to the head at the spot where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963.

Sgt. Warren Mitchell said Friday the decision to cite Badu for disorderly conduct — a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $500 — came after witness Ida Espinosa, 32, of Vernon, offered a sworn statement to police Thursday. Espinosa declined to comment to The Associated Press on Friday.

"Having a fact witness that was there is what let us file the charges," Mitchell said. "After much discussion, we feel that these charges best fit her conduct. She disrobed in a public place without regard to individuals and small children who were close by."

Mitchell said the department has had "people calling from all across the country to express their concern."

Mitchell said Badu can either fight the charge or pay the fine. He said a citation would be mailed to the singer.

Carla Sims, a spokeswoman for Badu, had no immediate comment Friday.

Charlie Sheen quits TV sitcom

Charlie Sheen has reportedly quit his hit sitcom "Two & a Half Men" after seven seasons.

The troubled actor has no plans to return for the show's eighth season, according to People.com, and has refused to sign a new contract extending his stay on the comedy, which also stars Jon Cryer.

A source says, "Charlie's just done and he's quietly telling his friends he's not coming back. He wants to move on."

Sheen has had a tough start to 2010 following a Christmas Day fight with his wife Brooke Mueller.

The actor, who faces domestic violence charges, entered rehab on February 24.

A set insider says, "Negotiations are ongoing and nothing has been determined."

Geri Halliwell: 'You either love or hate Victoria Beckham'

Geri Halliwell has compared her Spice Girls bandmate Victoria Beckham to pungent yeast spread Marmite - insisting you either love her or hate her.

Halliwell, along with Beckham, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton, shot to fame in 1996 with their "Wannabe" track and went on to become the biggest girlband in British history.

When quizzed over who she believed was the most popular member of the group, Halliwell based her answer on the number of dolls in their likeness that were sold to fans.

And although the "Look At Me" singer is convinced Chisholm sold the least dolls, she insists it is Beckham who divides opinion most - claiming she's "like Marmite," a British breakfast spread which has such a distinctive taste that it polarizes the nation into 'Love it/hate it' groups.

Halliwell tells Piers Morgan's Life Stories, "It would be according to what dolls are left on the shelf. I think probably Sporty (Chisholm). Do you know what, actually I always refer to Victoria... you'd get this very black or white feeling, either absolute adoration or not. She knows that, she's like Marmite.

"I absolutely love her. The girl that I know has got absolutely nothing to do with the one I see in the media."

Nicole Richie pranked Joel Madden and Kim Kardashian with Twitter attacks

Nicole Richie pulled an April Fools' prank on fiance Joel Madden and pal Kim Kardashian - by hacking into their Twitter accounts and posting a string of naughty messages.

The socialite took over the Twitter accounts of Madden - the father of her two children - on Thursday, sending tweets to Dolly Parton, Sharon Osbourne, Paula Abdul and Ashley Tisdale.

Richie ensured she would leave her lover red-faced, by telling Osbourne she was "yummy," asking Abdul if Madden could "smell her armpits," and tweeting Parton to see if she had any "milk in those jugs."

And Richie went on to aim her mischievous side at Kardashian, tweeting on the reality star's account, "Sometimes I think I'm a lesbian because HOT DAMN Nicole Richie is fine."

Richie later revealed herself as the culprit - uploading a picture of herself grinning on the top of their Twitter pages.

Tilda Swinton: 'Family set-up is normal'

Tilda Swinton is baffled by interest in her friendship with her ex-partner - because she's convinced it's possible to "love people you're not sleeping with."

The Oscar winner has 12-year-old twins with playwright John Byrne, but has been enjoying a romance with German boyfriend Sandro Kopp, 18 years her junior, for the last few years.

Swinton is still friendly with Byrne and his new girlfriend - and the four adults even live together at her home in Scotland.

But she refuses to believe that the domestic set-up is unconventional, and maintains it is healthy for the twins, Honor and Xavier, to have four caring adults in their lives.

In an interview with the London Evening Standard, she says, "(The kids are) quadruply loved! Listen, what I find really amusing, although I'm not really aware of people's fantasies about us, but the thing that bemuses and amuses me, is that people assume that we're not talking about two monogamous relationships. Of course we are. John Byrne and I had these two extraordinary children together and couldn't be happier about it. We haven't been together as a couple for many years, since which time we both happily engaged in other relationships.

"And all of us just really like each other. Please tell me that's not really unusual, please tell me lots of people live in this way. Whenever people tell me it's extraordinary, it saddens my heart because it makes it sound like acrimony is the norm. That people not getting on with the parents of their children is the norm. Well, I don't believe it is. I think countless families live like we do, and life goes on. It's perfectly possible to love people you're not sleeping with. Everyone knows that."

Tom Arnold is still upset about assault trial

Comic Tom Arnold is still sore about the time he spent picking up trash by the roadside as community service for defending his ex-wife Roseanne's honor.

The "True Lies" star was arrested for attacking photographers who he claims assaulted his then-partner at the Los Angeles International Airport almost 20 years ago.

He felt sure his wife's testimony would help him in court, but she allegedly let him down - and he was sentenced to community service.

He recalls on Jimmy Kimmel Live, "My wife had been assaulted and she was my witness, so how can it go wrong?

"It came time for the trial and they put her on the stand and they said, 'Roseanne, tell us what happened,' and she's like, 'I didn't really see anything.'

"Two days later I was in an orange jumpsuit on the 405 (freeway)."

Arnold and Roseanne's four-year marriage ended in 1994.

Lady Gaga has found an unlikely new superfan and mentor in R&B superstar Janet Jackson.

The "Nasty" hitmaker admits she's hooked on the colorful pop star's music - and was thrilled to discover the "Bad Romance" hitmaker is a "sweetheart."

Jackson tells MTV, "I really love GaGa and she's a sweetheart. It's not always the case when you meet them (superstars). You can enjoy their work, but it's not always so pleasant when you get to know their personality, and she truly is a sweetheart.

"She's definitely doing something different and I love that."

But Jackson admits she worries about the "Poker Face" singer after GaGa confessed to passing out three times during her a concert in New Zealand last month.

Jackson says, "She works so hard and I told her I think she needs to slow down just a little bit, take some time out for herself."

Jackson's advice comes a week after OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder warned his pop pal to "be careful" not to burn herself out.

GaGa blamed the health concern on a lack of sleep, saying, "I was so jetlagged, I got in the night before and the jetlag just really caught up with me. I passed out about three times on stage that night but I got myself to the floor.

"I'd rather die on stage than walk off the stage because I was going to pass out... It's never happened to me before, I was just really tired."

Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth is a big fan of the Cyrus family - insisting he gets on great with girlfriend Miley's parents.

The "Hannah Montana" star fell for her hunky co-star while shooting their new film "The Last Song" in 2009.

Last month, Hemsworth, who Cyrus has branded her first love, took the singer/actress on a trip to Australia to show her his hometown and introduce her to the family - and she proved a hit.

And Hemsworth insists he also feels at home with the Cyrus clan, telling People.com, "Their whole family's great. They've always been super friendly to me and very welcoming.

Disney teen sweethearts Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez have called off their relationship, according to a report.

The on/off couple, both 17, broke up at the start of March because of their busy work schedules. Gomez is preparing to shoot a movie in Europe in the summer, while Jonas is slated to hit the road with his band, The Jonas Brothers, at the same time.

A source tells People.com, "They were an item, but they are no longer together. It's evident to everyone that they will always have a super strong connection.

"It's never fun to go through a break-up but Selena has a lot of friends she's leaning on for support."

Sources close to the 'Rude Boy' singer claim that she is eager to take her relationship with the LA Dodgers star to the next level.

"Rihanna is head over heels in love with Matt," an insider revealed to the Daily Mail.

"She has told friends she'd love to marry him. She'd be so happy if he got down on one knee and popped the question."

The source added of Kemp: "[He] was just what Ri needed to help her get over Chris Brown."

Rimes Not Pressuring Cibrian For Quickie Divorce From Ex

LEANN RIMES' representative has dismissed a U.S. tabloid report alleging the singer/actress has offered to help boyfriend EDDIE CIBRIAN pay for a 'quickie' divorce from his estranged wife so they can wed this summer (10).

Rimes and Cibrian became romantically involved last year (09) during filming for TV movie Northern Lights, while both stars were still married to their respective partners.

The Grammy winner subsequently split from her husband Dean Sheremet and Cibrian is currently locked in a bitter divorce battle with his ex, Brandi Glanville.

According to the National Enquirer, Rimes is keen for the actor to reach a fast settlement with Glanville so the new couple can exchange vows themselves later this year (10).

A source told the publication, "She (Rimes) is already talking to dress designers, and she's telling friends that she wants a sunset wedding in Malibu in July or August...

"LeAnn told Eddie that she's willing to fork over a few million dollars for Brandi if she agrees to cut him loose quickly. LeAnn is ready to start a new life with Eddie."

But the report has been shot down by Rimes' spokesperson, with the rep telling GossipCop.com the claim is "100 per cent not true".

The singer's divorce from Sheremet is expected to be finalised on 19 June (10).

Chris Martin's Tight Success

Chris Martin owes his success to tight trousers.

The Coldplay frontman claims the best advice he was ever given was to change his wardrobe slightly, which he thinks boosted the band's success in the US.

He said: "What's the best piece of advice I've been given? Michael Stipe from R.E.M. once told me to wear tighter trousers. We did and we had a number one in America."

While the singer is happy with his wardrobe on stage, he admits some of the props the group have used haven't always gone down so well.

He added to Q magazine: "We had a Chinese dragon's head on stage last year. I came offstage and said, 'God, that dragon bit was good, wasn't it?' The rest of the band just stayed quiet."

On their last tour, the group - also comprising Johnny Buckland, Will Champion and Guy Berryman - donned military-style outfits and have previously revealed they stitched the garments themselves.

Guitarist Johnny said: "Guy came up with the direction. Then we all got together in our studio to work on the outfits. We had someone who helped us make the jackets and trousers. We made them ourselves. We really wanted this whole album to be homemade again, we wanted to take it back and have it all come from us."

Janet Jackson has insisted that she is still planning to release more music.

The singer, who recently denied speculation that she is working on a new album, said that she intends to record one in the future.

"I read somewhere that I'm not planning to make more albums; that's not true," she told USA Today.

"I love singing and performing too much to give them up. Right now I've got a couple more films I may do, and the festival. Then I'll figure out whether to go with a major or do something more independent."

The 43-year-old, who debuts the video for her single 'Nothing' from her new film Why Did I Get Married? today, admitted that she drew on her own experiences for the role.

"I've been married twice and divorced twice. I know what it feels like to go through that," she said.

Christina Aguilera admits she didn't write her new single.

The singer normally pens all her tracks but says she made an exception with 'Not Myself Tonight' because she knew how great it was as soon as she heard it.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest, she said: "I didn't write it, actually, I really make sure that I write all my material because it's really important that I feel it, but that song kind of showed up at my doorstep.

"I was feeling like going back into the studio and expressing what I'm feeling, and what I've learned. So I was asking for tracks, and what not, and that just kind of showed up. I was like, 'Oh my God, I have to sing this song - it's just so me.' "

'Not Myself Tonight' is the first song from Christina's new album 'Bionic', which she describes as "futuristic".

She said: "It's kind exploring my wild side again, it's really a fun, fun record. Really futuristic. I was inspired by a lot of electronic music, electronic artists, and so you'll hear all of those elements."

Aaron Carter has reportedly proposed to his girlfriend.

According to Star magazine, the former Dancing On Ice star popped the question to Maile Hochuli on a trip to the cinema.

"Aaron took Maile to the movie Alice In Wonderland, which she has been dying to see," a source claimed.

"She didn't get to see the end of the movie though because Aaron got down on a knee and proposed with a beautiful pear-shaped diamond ring. Maile was completely overjoyed and said yes immediately."

37-year-old star is famous for her vintage-inspired wardrobe and glamorous look and insists she isn't a fan of comfort clothes.

She told The Las Vegas Weekly: "I do relax; I just don't relax by wearing jeans and sweatpants. I have lots of robes and pyjamas, and usually if you dropped in on me, I don't wear a full face of makeup... But it's not like I come home and go, 'Wow, I really wish I had some sweatpants to put on right now.' I don't relate that to comfort. I'd rather put on a cashmere robe."

Dita recently revealed she uses clothes to help her feel more confident.

She said: "I used clothes as a way to counteract my extreme shyness when I was younger. I wore a lot of extravagant vintage hats, which can make people somewhat intimidated. I think people will only approach if they have something very, very interesting to say to the girl in the outrageous hat.

"I always felt like a very ordinary looking girl, and I found that dressing in a unique way made me feel less ordinary and more glamorous."

Kidman To Buy New Sydney Mansion?

Nicole Kidman is believed to be interested in buying a $12 million (£7.2 million) Sydney mansion.

The Moulin Rouge actress, who has daughter Sunday Rose with husband Keith Urban, reportedly inspected a Hunters Hill property called Windemere during her latest visit to Australia.

The 1858 house has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a ten-car garage and 3,000 square metres of land.

Estate agents LJ Hooker denied showing the house to Kidman but confirmed that an offer on the property had been received.

Fellow Australian actress Cate Blanchett reportedly lives three doors away with her husband Andrew Upton.

Christian Bale Applies For US Citizenship?

Christian Bale has reportedly applied to become a US citizen.

The Terminator Salvation star has lived in the country for nearly 20 years and is married to American former model Sibi Blazic.

The actor, who left his native Wales in 1976 to live in Europe for several years before finally settling across the Atlantic, is now looking to become an official US citizen, Star says.

Bale and Blazic currently live in Los Angeles with their daughter Emmeline.

A spokesperson for the actor has declined to comment on the reports.

Jessica Alba has announced that she plans to adopt, according to People.

While filming an upcoming episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the actress said that she would like a larger family. Alba claimed that she was inspired after helping a family who had adopted 13 children but were still living in a small trailer.

"If you have the love, and the capacity to love children, you should just adopt," she said. "And I plan on doing it."

Alba already has one child, 21-month-old daughter Honor Marie, with husband Cash Warren.

The episode of Extreme Makeover featuring Jessica Alba will air this Sunday on the ABC network.

Cameron Diaz's Stunt Double Gift

Cameron Diaz reportedly treated her stunt double to a holiday after shooting wrapped on 'Knight and Day'.

The actress - who stars in the upcoming movie with Tom Cruise - paid for the on set action woman to holiday to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, as a way of saying thank you for all her hard work.

A source told the National Enquirer magazine: "There were a lot of serious stunts in the movie. The double got pretty banged up, Cameron sent her away to heal her bruises in peace."

In the film, Tom plays secret agent Milner who goes on a blind date with Cameron's character June Havens and the pair end up having to protect a powerful battery that can produce infinite power.

The majority of shooting took place at the end of 2009 in Boston, Bridgewater and Melrose, in Massachusetts, while some scenes were filmed in Spain and Austria.

The action comedy marks the first time the Hollywood pair have starred together since 2001's 'Vanilla Sky' and it is due for release this coming June.

Shannen Doherty -- Dancing with Debt

Shannen Doherty may have tried two-stepping the California taxman, TMZ has learned.

On March 22 just days before Shannen was booted from "Dancing with the Stars," the State of California slapped a $44,064.58 tax lien on the "90210" star.

So far, no comment from her people -- but we're guessing a few more "DWTS" paychecks would have really helped.

Kevin Bacon Grilled By Family

Kevin Bacon admits he loses all family arguments.

The 'Taking Chance' star - who has an 18-year-old daughter Sosie and a 20-year-old son Travis with his actress wife Kyra Sedgwick - admits he has such a soft spot for his daughter that it sometimes becomes a struggle to parent her because she can argue back so well.

He said: "With my daughter I would say she usually wins the debates, especially in the last few years. When they are really little you can sort of play it off, but when they turn into teenagers you start to give them the heads up about their opinions and talk about things with them. But in the end she usually wins."

However, the 51-year-old actor insists he can be a tough disciplinarian when he needs to be.

He added to People.com: "We just spoke about curfews tonight, and she said to me, 'Do I have a curfew?' And I said, 'Yeah, I think you do!' And she said, 'I don't think so. I haven't had a curfew for years.' So we had a debate about it, and I won."

Kevin believes his daughter got her argumentative streak from her mother, who he always ends up admitting defeat to.

He said: "She usually wins. She's a very good arguer. She always makes good solid points, and I just nod and agree."
