Prince Charles will walk Meghan down the aisle. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-44168082

Wow, she looks so like Uma!

I preferred the quote from Brooksbank’s gran, who told the press that he’s a charming boy but “not the most intelligent”. They’ve also been told they can’t marry in September as they apparently wanted because of other royal family commitments, so if it is attention grabbing I don’t think Charles at least will let it happen.

Imagine if Harry did it at Pippa's wedding - it would be the ultimate revenge. "You thought that you could upstage my brother, the future king, at his wedding with your arse in that bridesmaid's frock? Well, watch this...."

My best dressed were Taraji, Viola and Janelle Monae - I think for the Oscars you either go timeless classic (the first two) or memorable but still gorgeous (the latter, which had a structurally similar bodice to Halle berry's dress the year she won, makes sense since it's the same designer). I thought there was a lot of fabulous jewellery on show last night which distracted from how blah many of the dresses were. Felicity jones - why bother turning up if that's what you're going to wear? I was also disappointed with Kidman, having loved that parrot dress. I hated Karlie Kloss's look - the dress was a rip off of gwyneths tom ford cape from a few years ago and the high neckline did not work with a choker.

I was reading an interview with Elon Musk's ex wife Tallulah Riley recently, she's got a novel out. They're divorced for the second time I think, although in the interview she didn't rule out them having a third go around!

People can be monsters, social media just gives them another tool to use

^ interesting that you think it's a ploy by Heard because I was thinking that Depp donating the money directly was done to still have control over the money - he's writing the check and forcing her hand, in a petty way. No doubt the truth is somewhere in the middle!

It's a bit crap of TMZ to try to pick hairs on the "false statements" part and gloss over the "intent to harm" bit - why not point out that just because there was no intent, doesn't mean there wasn't actual harm? Oh, right, because they would mean them going against the movie star.

The groom's brother "stars" in a scripted reality show about posh people, so it'll be interesting to see what involvement Kate has in a wedding that's got the potential to be very tabloid tacky. I can't imagine the Royal family's advisers are thrilled.

And the thing is, if they split before but wanted to keep it quiet for a while, then why has Diane been seen with Norman again on in Europe before there was an official announcement? There were more BIs as a result and now it just looks again like her cheating has caused the split, while Josh looks foolish for sticking with her. No one looks good. Unless she blew it by being indiscreet, but it's not like she and Norman seemed to be trying to hide.

Yes, the Grand Tour i think it's called! I think they've brought too many presenters into Top Gear. It's been completely revamped before, they should maybe rest it for a year or two and then relaunch. Unless it's still making the BBC money overseas.

Chris has just resigned from Top Gear after 1 series. Matt has carried this series but it's been pretty poor.

Does anyone read historicals?

I'm currently reading through her books on the Cousins War. I've just started the Kings Curse, having read the others (I just finished the Kingmaker's Daughters). I liked the Tudor court novels better than this series, which I've picked up and put down. -
Agreed, I am really enjoying Lainey's posts and in particular, the way she's calling out the attempts to blame the victim.

I think it's widely known that O'Toole was a drunkard, it's practically a badge of honour for that generation of actors! Think Burton etc I loved him in How To Steal A Million.

Commentators speculating Diane is pregnant based on the first couple of photos here http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3555014/Spring-step-Diane-Kruger-sports-monogrammed-denim-jacket-Joshua-Jackson-casual-sunny-walk-West-Hollywood.html

He was genuinely just about to start a tour called "David Gest is Not Dead", so called after someone appearing on the UK Celeb Big Brother show at the start of the year got him confused with David Bowie...

Diane Kruger wore a red dress with see through bits to the Party, not sure if it's her? Chrissy Tiegen was also red embellishments on nude background.

I see the Go Fug girls are on board with the BI theory: http://www.gofugyourself.com/oscar-flashback-fuggery-what-the-stars-wore-ten-years-ago-02-2016/78th-annual-academy-awards-arrivals-13

I've only read one of them, I think, bought on holiday - when I checked here in the UK at the time you couldn't get them here. I really enjoyed the one I read so I'll need to check if that's now changed. -
I think there are bound to be politics with it being election year.
-
They seem to be really pushing it, it's been in all the papers. Not sure a lot of it will travel well; who outside the UK is going to 'get' Charles and Camilla as the Gogglebox couple? The Cumberbatch puppet is hilariously cruel though.

I thought she was perhaps trying to recover from the bad publicity after the Henry Cavill dating contract.

Every time Kaley opens her mouth, she appears to reveal herself to be even dumber than I thought. And I think she rushed into that marriage, so I vote them.
