The rumors I've read have been that yes, Kelly pulls him back to $cieno when he wants to leave - and that the main reason he wants to leave is he wants to come out. Or, at least have male companions more openly.

Lainey posted photos from their press conference - said the video was hard to see because of all the photogs. I loved her blue dress - she looked good. And damn her hair. I want hair that's bouncy & shiny like that (I have an antique sapphire engagement ring - it's not as big as Di's but I do love it! I was never a fan of diamonds so hubby picked out something different for me) At age 7, I was up at 5 am watching Charles & Diana's wedding. I imagine I'll do the same for these two. I can't help it

When she went bald, you mean? That was sort of a different statement. I believe at the time I thought - well, it's not what I'd want as a permanent look, but damn, does she have amazing cheekbones.....

It should be the biggest royal event since Prince Charles married Diana in 1981. The royal engagement was announced in a statement Tuesday: "The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton. "The wedding will take place in the Spring or Summer of 2011, in London. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course. "Prince William and Miss Middleton became engaged in October during a private holiday in Kenya. "Prince William has informed The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince William has also sought the permission of Miss Middleton’s father. "Following the marriage, the couple will live in north Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force," the statement concluded.

I voted Emma but think Daniel Radcliffe will have good options too. I think others will probably be able to have character roles or stronger roles in smaller films - esp British films - but don't think any will be American box office stars. Honestly, I don't know that any of them want that kind of career after Harry Potter or care about it - they haven't seemed to in interviews the past 10 years, so who knows.....

Isn't HE the has-been with no prospects? They'll get married. Poor fool should've gone to Wharton.....To announce the engagement the same week as Nick & Vanessa is beyond pathetic....

I think more than anything else, I like that Emma isn't afraid to break out of the long hair blond Hollywood starlet look to try new & different things. For me, it's more about her approach to life than just her haircut. BUt I also think she has the skull & facial features to carry it off and not many can! :-) (god knows I cannot ;-)

I love her; she can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned. She's getting a college degree and trying to be relatively normal despite oodles of money from the Harry Potter movies. I love the pixie cut because she's young and it's HAIR and will grow back if she wants. And the dress -eh, I don't love it but I don't hate it either. Far less than any lots of other dresses I see on the red carpets..... Did I mention that Emma Watson can do no wrong in my book??

I think unattractive women (if they have money, they're still called "handsome", right? :-) still age very well and not look pulled tight. They just don't look gorgeous like Helen Mirren (or Joan Collins) because, yes, they started gorgeous. But conversely, some gorgeous young women have aged terribly because of bad plastic surgery choices they've made......I mean sure, the ideal is start gorgeous, end gorgeous, but I'll take "start handsome, end handsome" if that's what I can get :-) (age 37 here, told I have "good skin" so we'll see how it ages....So far so good)

Spade is NOT aging well - his boyish charm (? let's call it that....) is turning to aging frat boy beer gut & jowls..... I saw Joan Collins on Rules of Engagement Monday night (well, yesterday on DVR ) I know she's had a ton of plastic surgery, and she looks a little frozen/plastic, but MY GOD she is 77 years old and truly looks in her early 50s. Her surgeon - TONS better than Joan Rivers (they're the same age) (or, Joan Collins is more realistic about her procedures than Joan Rivers is) Seriously. Wow. If I wanted to be preserved into my late 70s, I would pick the Joan Collins route over the Joan Rivers route. I'm sure the husband 30 years younger doesn't hurt either

He's got a new movie (Farrelly Bros) coming out soon so I imagine we'll be seeing more of him on the press circuit.....

I have to wonder if his travel to Australia right before her due date is a passive aggressive rebellion against the rumored circumstances of this pregnancy?? (eg fake, surrogate, IVF against his wishes, etc)

I think when you're famous, other people set you up anyway, so while you may or may not know the "faux" level originally, someone saying "Hey, Celeb X wants to meet you" is probably a regular occurrence. That's just how I see Hollywood working.

Watching Hoda & Kathie Lee (from yesterday - dvr backlog ;-) and they said CHarlie Sheen hired a sober coach.....

New album, new movie - both good earners, there shouldn't be a need to "compensate" the other beyond the PR they each get. Heck, they seem like nice people - I would dine with either of them without compensation :4biggrin:

He won't get custody of them (he might even have supervised visits with the girls he had with Denise, right?) I don't think that slowed him down any.....

Maybe not getting his foot in the door in the beginning, but if Charlie Sheen weren't making money, he wouldn't have the career he does. Hollywood might be nepotistic, but is also EXTREMELY focussed on the bottom line. Heck - this week, Two and a Half Men's ratings went UP. By quite a bit. Sheen hasn't hit bottom and I doubt he'll change his ways. He might be able to moderate a little for a time being, but unless something drastic changes, I imagine his drinking, coking & whoring days will continue...... I also imagine that Martin is less than thrilled with his offspring at this point - hasn't he been fairly harsh with him in the past? Perhaps not harsh enough, but still - not like White Oprah in denial about the kid's problems......

1) There's clearly a gender-based double standard BUT 2) By all accounts, Charlie Sheen is always on time for work with his lines memorized. And his show makes a lot of money. Sooooo......it might be a double standard but it's based on the only currency of value in Hollywood - $$$$$$
