I'm hoping that just came out wrong? I mean, he knew he needed to make changes to get better, and he did, so I respect that. Blaming the ex - I really really hope that's just Page Six being assholes with the clickbait headline/edit. Because they've really seemed to co-parent post-divorce pretty well. Though I think the last time something bad came out, it was about his phoenix tatoo and rising again and Garner's response was a laughing "so does that make me the ashes?" So at least she knows how to respond publicly....

A big worry I have is that, if ratings aren't good, the money men will blame it on the age of the women and not greenlight other - potentially MUCH BETTER shows. And not the fact that perhaps this is a franchise that didn't need to keep going because it was pretty shallow (and rich and white and.....I mean, they had some good topics in the original show, but I don't think it was changing lives or anything....) I WANT good tv shows about different kinds of people! I might not watch not because they allowed them to age. THAT might be the thing that gets me to watch!

I have not yet watched. I'm really conflicted about whether or not I want to - I was an AVID SATC fan for a few years but now I'm not sure that was a good thing....Also reviews I've read - including the spoilers! - lead me to believe I might not actually enjoy this show very much...... I liked Roxane Gay's comment about how they handled Samantha - it was fundamentally NOT her personality and they handled it the exact wrong/opposite way. So, haven't seen the show yet, but believe that to be true and not sure I'd want to see that......

In my high school, the "Beauty" books by her alternate pen name Roquelaure were the very popular books passed around surreptitiously - they were "naughty". And SO MUCH BETTER WRITTEN than anything EL James put out.....I never really got into the Vampire books but loved the Mayfair Witches. I remember doing a walking tour of the Garden District during my first trip to New Orleans with my mom and walking by her house - back then she actually lived there. I think she retained ownership for a long time (maybe even now?) but didn't live there after the late 90s, or maybe after Katrina?

Well, sadly I know that most of my favorite John Hughes movies from the 80s do NOT. I'll have to think about what does. I mean, I still enjoy a LOT of old movies (1930s through whenever) even while acknowledging that times & mores have changed. I think I'm still willing to see a lot of sexism in old movies but not racism....

So is the A- list star sneaking out supposed to be Alyson Hannigan or Sarah Michelle Geller? Assume that other A- list actress co-star is the other one. Unless the show isn't Buffy but is How I Met Your Mother? I think Alyson fits the "movie franchise and 2 massive tv hits" better - American Pie, Buffy and How I Met Your Mother?
