  1. Most of the takes I've read are that he was working as fast as he could on whatever he could while he was able - to secure his family's financial future. Honestly can't blame him for that - and the  fact that his entire family includes his ex (whom he spent quite a bit of quarantine with, without the current wife) and they are all supporting him. It's weird to me but they seem to have worked it out somehow.

  2. That is a bitter as hell "blind". Dang, boy, who hurt you?

[are there others like me who are somewhere in the middle, believing there was "bad" on all sides? I lean more toward Meghan & Harry - who the fuck ignores suicidal ideation in ANYONE much less a "close" family member??? - but I don't think they're blameless in how things played out and continue to play out - but online it's like you can only be one or the other, no shades of gray.....I read stuff online but I won't comment 'cause holy hell it's dangerous]

  3. I loved that Momoa had a scrunchie on his french braid - it looked good! I'm not sure what outfit I liked best. I really liked Jada's dress - that dark green, those floufy ruffles - it was eye-catching! And Venus Williams' hair looked amazing with her outfit - perfect match! I'm not loving the U-shaped cleavage plunge -makes boobs look droopy.

  4. Joke, bad joke, unintentional - doesn't matter why/what Rock said - violence never the answer. That was a lot. Sarah (@cinesnark, new-ish deputy editor at lainey gossip) called it the Chaoscars last week and boy was she more right than she knew she'd be!!

  5. I still don't binge, but.....We  continue to watch a LOT of things. The Playboy documentary that's on A&E is very well done, very moving. We have to watch something happy after! (last year, FXX did an Archer marathon and I didn't start watching until a couple seasons ago, so I recorded all of it and we've been watching slowly - I like an Archer episode to feel better after a Playboy episode) I have a huge list of stuff we're streaming - since Starlink is now out to 2023 (maybe) for installation - even though we paid a $$$deposit last year - we still have limited data so are careful. That said - I got a good deal on Hulu so bought that for a year. Ugh. I can't stop 😉

I do continue to prefer funny and weird when it comes to streaming......

  6. I'm about od'd on hockey. LOVE IT. Super sad & pissed about the ROC figure skating scandal. Effing russians - is it is, as it was, as it ever shall be..... (we're GenX so hubs and I are making all sorts of cold war & "east german judge" jokes 😉

Have watched a fair bit of curling, lots of snowboading & the women's monobob, some luge & skeleton. Not much skiing (which is odd because that's the only winter olympics sport I've actually done myself 🤣)

  7. 17 hours ago, James Otto Sweet Heart said:

Natasha Richardson, only what happened with her was a skiing incident I believe it was. Still, she didn't get checked out and of course you know the rest. frown.gif frown.gif frown.gif

Yes, Natasha died from a head injury sustained in a skiing crash. She wasn't treated on the slopes but she DID go to a hospital soon after, then another where she went into a coma, and died. Sonny Bono also died from a skiing injury. I skied a LOT between 1986-1998 - no helmet - and rarely since then. I don't own my own equipment anymore so the first time I went skiing in the "modern" age and had to wear a helmet (included in a rental package) - eek - I HATE it. I'm claustrophobic (I don't like wearing ski boots now either) but I did it anyway.....

  8. Doesn't Nicki Hilton already have 3 kids??? (no, I'm not in the mood to click the link to go to Page Six! ;'-) I'm sorry, but once you already have kids (and those nurseries have been in ArchDigest or T&C or Vogue or wherever I saw them) your new baby bump is of no interest to me at all.

Rihanna on the other hand..... 😉

  9. Meatloaf, age 74. Damn. I've been listening to his music a long damn time. As I told my husband this morning upon hearing this - we're at that age where the people we grew up watching/hearing/reading are dying. Guess every generation goes through this but damn it sucks.

I would do anything for love, but I won't do that......[guess I know my work soundtrack today.....]

  10. Honestly, I don't think there is a good outcome here for him (as there shouldn't be) and it's easy to see why he tried so hard to prevent the trial. Settlement looks bad, and heaven knows a trial isn't going to look good, no matter what the outcome.

Lainey had a funny/good point in her coverage yesterday - they waited until the judge decided a trial could move ahead before taking away his titles & patronages, showing they WOULD have allowed status quo if not pushed to it. And they were pushed into it because can you imagine the joy of the plaintiff's attorneys if they got to say "His Royal Highness Prince Andrew" at the start of ALL of their statements in court?? Ah, the schadenfreude is overwhelming.....

Specifically because the “HRH” is so important to the British royals, so treasured, so esteemed, they don’t want it dragged into a courtroom where the case is about whether or not the Queen’s son raped a girl when she was 17-years-old. Because can you imagine Virginia’s lawyers, every other sentence, in their opening statements being all like, “HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCE ANDREW sexually assaulted Virginia Roberts Giuffre and participated in the dead rapist pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking operation. We will prove that HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCE ANDREW did in fact rape Virginia. We will show photos and phone call logs and videos (whatever evidence) that HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCE ANDREW knew that Epstein was a sex-trafficker and a rapist”. They would have dragged that HRH through some sh-t.

  11. Our computers (well, mostly my husband's) went THROUGH something the week before last and we used 175% of our December data. So we're throttled. Can still surf internet but not enough data to stream 😞 Ah, rural living.

I'm conflicted on this movie which means I'll need to watch eventually. I've read glowing and stinging reviews both, from people whose reviews matter to me (ie people with similar taste). In addition to the conflicted professional reviews.
