    The Kardashians

Why has this family lasted so long in Hollywood? I thought their 15 minutes would have been up years ago. Kim Kardashian really should have had the shelf life of Paris Hilton and the fact that she's still famous boggles my mind. This entire family is just awful. And that picture above is a really old picture. I know because Kylie doesn't even look like that anymore. She's had so much plastic surgery she looks like a completely different person. When are these people going to go away? ETA: Kris is the worst.

    Who'll Split Next? (Version 6.0) - 2016

I don't know if she still is but I remember some years ago there being a lot of rumors about her drug use. Apparently she was into some hardcore stuff if I remember correctly. I thought she'd since cleaned herself up though.

    Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger

Their body language in those photos of them in New York is really off. Makes me think they are broken up. It seems like two actors could do a better job pretending.

Great choices. So many have had serious divorce rumors about the recently. It's going to be a tough decision.

    Serial Podcast

So I've been listening to the follow up podcast Undisclosed (I haven't finished it yet) but five episodes in I can now say I believe Adnan is innocent and he was likely set up by the police and the prosecution. There is evidence of the detectives coaching Jay during his interview and evidence of blatant lying at trial by the prosecution and with holding evidence. The fact is the physical evidence doesn't support the state's theory of the crime in any way. Up above I said where there's smoke there's fire and I now believe the police created, or at least helped create, that smoke. I urge anyone who interested in Serial and this case to listen to this podcast. Rabia Chaudry, the mother of Adnan's friend who got Sarah from Serial involved, is one of the hosts, so she's obviously biased, but her two other cohosts only became interested in the case through Serial so they're more objective, and the evidence and theories that they present based on their own analysis and plethora of experts really destroys the State's case.

    Who'll Split Next (version 5.0)?

I thought the same thing and was surprised when I saw they got married. I think fykey might be right. It was a publicist set up that ended in real love.

    Serial Podcast

I just finished the podcast and I haven't done any additional research but here are two things I feel comfortable saying: 1) I fully believe that Jay is a psychopath. I believe this regardless of whether or not Adnan is too or whether or not Adnan killed Hae. I have thought this since episode one, before the reporter said anything about him. She had simply played one of the taped interviews of Jay and he pinged my psychopath radar immediately. I say this as someone who has both academic and personal experience with psychopaths. My senior thesis in college was about psychopaths so I've done countless hours of research on psychopathology and my brother in law is definitely one so I've had close contact with one as well. One thing that really stood out to me was Jay's pathological lying. My brother in law does the same thing. He lies just as much as he tells the truth (maybe more) and often times, like Jay, his lies don't seem to serve any purpose. Because Jay is a proven pathological liar and because I think he's a psychopath and because he's lied so much in this case, I can't take anything he's said to be the truth because there's no way for me to tell truth from lie. The only reason I know Jay is involved is that he knew were Hae's car was. For all I know he killed Hae for some reason that would only be justifiable to a psychopath. I really wish Stephanie would have agreed to be interviewed because I think she could have shed some light on Jay. 2) The second thing I can say with certainty is that Adnan, regardless of whether or not he truly did it, should not have been convicted. I think there is a boatload of reasonable doubt in this case. The entire case pretty much rests on Jay's statements and as I said before, he can't be trusted. This doesn't mean Adnan didn't do it but I don't think you can convict based on the evidence. I think the defense did a crappy job defending him (it does seem like there was misconduct in addition to just regular poor decision making). There also seems to be some shady stuff with the prosecution and I believe their proposed motive was off. I don't think it had anything to do with his religion or sexism in Pakistan, if he did it. I'll also say that while I don't think race and religion were major factors in his conviction, I do think they played a minor role based on some of the info we've learned about two of the jurors and what we've been told about the investigation. Had this trial happened after 9/11 I think it would have played a more major role but it happened in 1999 when prejudice against Muslims and people of middle eastern descent were not as strong although still present. I'm really torn on whether or not he actually did it. I can make arguments either way. I can explain away all of the evidence against him but it does seem like there's a lot of smoke for there not to be a fire. But if he was set up this would be true as well. I may have more to add after talking it over with more people and reading up a bit more. dixiedoodah, what conclusion did your son come to?

I hadn't heard of this podcast before but I decided to check it out. Interesting case. I'm only through the first lecture but I'll come back to compare notes when I've finished.

    Kill (or "ditch)/Screw/Marry

You didn't give the next person 3 names ;-) I would marry Fillion, shag Reynolds, and kill Gosling. The "brooding" thing drives me crazy. Up next - Late night tv: Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers I'm just going to pretend that instead of Seth Meyers you wrote Stephen Colbert because he's on at the same time as the other two and I really know nothing about Seth. So marry Stephen Colbert, screw Jimmy Kimmel but only because Jimmy Fallon annoys me so I'm going to kill him. Up next - Old Hollywood Edition: Cary Grant, Clark Gable, Humphrey Bogart (Aside from the substitution I hope I did that right.)

    Who will divorce first?

At least of these couples we were correct. Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting are divorcing first and they got the most votes.

    Plastic Surgery

Most people haven't had to go through what I did. The first surgeon specialized in a low scarring technique that I was not really a candidate for but he told me what I wanted to hear so I believed him. He also used some shady selling practices that I didn't find out about until later. I didn't even reduce a whole cup size and he did end up giving me a partial refund. The second surgeon just decided to ignore my wishes and make me the size she thought I'd be happy with despite me bringing in a bra the size I wanted to be, several pictures and telling her what I wanted. Never before the surgery did she say she couldn't/wouldn't do it. In fact she told be she could have made me smaller and offered a revision at a discount a year later. My third surgeon got me down to a 34C which I was happy with even though my ideal would have been a 34B. I now know there are limitations aside from blood supply. The base width of the breast can't be reduced without destroying the inframammary fold, which they don't know how to reconstruct well, so I was never going to be a B but no surgeon had ever explained that to me. I know breastfeeding is an issue for some but for me it was still worth it. I don't think I would even be comfortable breastfeeding with 34F+ breasts, and the benefits of breastfeeding in a developed country with clean water supplies have been greatly exaggerated. Surgery isn't something I take lightly but my quality of life has been improved so much that even three surgeries were worth it although I obviously wish I had only had one.

    Plastic Surgery

I've had three breast reduction surgeries because the first two surgeries did not get me small enough. Before my first I was a 34F and after my second I was still a 34DDD because I chose the wrong surgeons. The third surgery was a success but they've partially grown back with my pregnancy so I'll likely have a fourth surgery after I'm sure that I'm done having children. I had my first surgery at 22 but if I could have had it at 17 (with a different surgeon using a different method so I could avoid the second two) I would have. Even though they grew back (partially), I'm still glad I didn't wait to have the reduction until I was done having children because the years I went without pain after the third surgery were worth it, and I can't imagine how huge I would have gotten with my pregnancy had I not reduced them beforehand. I would say the same thing if they came back because I wasn't done developing. Ariel Winter has the money to pay for another surgery if her breast grow back for whatever reason so it's probably worth the risk of multiple surgeries to be without pain, fit into clothing and be less self conscious for a few extra years.

    The Classics

I used to be very active on goodreads a couple years ago and it was great. There were a lot of cool people on there and I found out about so many books I never would have heard of if it wasn't for the community. Also, it motivated me to read more, especially when I participated in the yearly book challenges. It's still a good site but it lost many of its best reviewers due to a combination of author attacks on reviewers for negative reviews (usually indie/self published authors but a few traditionally published authors as well) and Goodreads staff putting policies into place that seemed to favor the authors over the reviewers around the time of the Amazon buyout. Some people are still around but many of my favorite reviewers left or reduced their presence greatly.

    Bobbi Kristina Brown

Bobby Brown will inherent everything assuming there's no will and she never married Nick Gordon. According to Georgia law on intestate succession the spouse and children divide the money amongst themselves with the spouse getting no less than 1/3 of the property. If there is no spouse the children get it all and if there are no children then the spouse gets it all. When there is no spouse or children then the surviving parent(s) inherit the estate, and if there are no surviving parents then the siblings divide the estate equally. The only caveat to this is that a person cannot inherit if they intentionally kill the deceased person.

Yep. The psych wards become revolving doors because long term holds are nearly impossible to get and/or maintain. A person with a psychotic disorder threatens self or others, enters psych hospital where they're stabilized with meds, then they're released, where they usually stop taking their meds and have another breakdown, which starts the process all over again. The mental health care system in this country is really messed up. There are also many non-dangerous mentally ill people whose functioning is severely impaired and no one pays attention to them. They usually end up on the street because their families, if they have them, can't take care of them (you can't force an adult to get help or take meds). Two thirds of homeless people are schizophrenic, according to one of my psych professors. I know that the mental institutions of the past weren't great, but it doesn't seem like getting rid of them altogether was the answer. ::Sorry for the diatribe. Steps off soap box::

    Britney Spears

The MV BI sounds like it's about Britney, however, S couldn't be Myah Marie. She's only 24 years old, which means she was only 10 years old when Britney's first album came out and not much older than that for the second. Also, S supposedly had a double mastectomy, which seems pretty unlikely for a 24 year old.

I think he should be treated like any other Regular Joe who is a foreign citizen here on a visa who breaks the law. He shouldn't be penalized or given preferential treatment because of his fame and fortune. I'm still hoping this is grounds for deportation, though. ::crosses fingers::
