Meryl Streep for president!

D.C. For me. I'm planning to bring my 13 year old too.

Ditto, princess. That's why I voted for the Beckhams last year. I really thought they would crack. This year I'm leaning towards Nicole and Keith because of the over abundance of "so in love" press recently, they doth protest too much, but I'm going to have to sit on that vote for a few days.

So incredibly sad. Just so sad.

Just goes to show you that age is relative. When I used to watch Bewitched as a child, I thought he was an old man. In reality, he was 39-45 when he filmed that show, younger than I am now.

Mr Doodah was literally on the ice with our 15 year old when the news broke. When I told him about it, he felt very similarly, Hoya. Doing what you love with the people you love.

Alan Thicke (69). http://m.tmz.com/#article/2016/12/13/alan-thicke-dead/ TV icon Alan Thicke has died ... TMZ has learned. We're told Alan had a heart attack while he was playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter. He was transported to Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center around noon today, and pronounced dead there. Law enforcement sources tell us ... a company that recovers organs was contacted, so some of Thicke's organs could be donated. He's survived by his 3 sons -- Robin, Brennan and Carter ... and his wife, Tanya. Alan played hockey regularly at a rink in Burbank. We're told he and Carter were on the ice around 11 AM when he started having chest pain, then got nauseous and vomited. The ambulance picked him up around 11:30 and took him to the hospital. The Canadian born actor was most famous for his role as Jason Seaver, the dad on the '80s sitcom, "Growing Pains." Most recently, he was on the Netflix reboot, "Fuller House." He also hosted game shows, talk shows, and wrote several famous TV show theme songs for "Diff'rent Strokes," "Wheel of Fortune" as well as "Growing Pains." Alan was 69. I'm an occasional Days watcher. I know Stefano was on the show pretty recently. More recently than I would have thought someone with that late stage Alzheimer's would be able to work.

This all went down while Kim was in NYC, right? So who do you think the other member of the family was - assuming she was where they said she was.

The fact that the popular vote lead keeps getting bigger and bigger is killing me. He needs to be humbled by that, but he won't be.

My middle schooler, in an extremely diverse suburban DC neighborhood, said a few boys were yelling "You're going to get deported!" at other kids in the hallway at school today.
-
I'm curled up in a ball trying not to think about telling my kids we elected a racist, xenophobic, homophobic, unqualified bully as president

I voted around 11 and lots of people but not much wait. One of my friends a neighborhood over said they had UN Elections Monitors at their polling station. I forgot that I have to take older mini-doodah to hockey practice tonight. It's in DC, so I'll be driving by the White House tonight, but might miss a lot of the excitement since I won't be home until 10:30. There's a tv in the lobby but it's a pretty divided group so might not be the most fun place to watch.
-
No early voting (just in person absentee, which I don't qualify for) in my state, so long lines tomorrow for me. I'll stay up and watch. The mini-doodahs have electoral college coloring maps that they stay up and fill in as the states are called.

I saw it at the theater. I feel very much as you did, and I NEVER like Chloe Sevigny.

I don't think she faked it but I'm torn as to whether the traumatized silence afterwards is 1. The blessing that will finally help her go away as she realizes her life is too public or 2. Being stage managed for maximum ratings when she comes back into the spotlight. THAT I don't put past them.

Watched Timeless with my 12 and 15 year old and they absolutely loved it. I like that there's a lot of history and its family friendly, so I'll probably stick with this one for a while for their sake.

I love that it's been two days and we can't even.... I'm sure it was terrifying, wouldn't wish worst enemy, reallly mean it, blah blah but can't even. Seriously. I giggle every time I see the lack of posting. I know I just ruined it but I can't help my immaturity.

I'm hoping that it just wasn't reported that she also has to undergo testing. If you were a partner in a divorce and your ex was accusing you of drug use and you KNEW she was using, wouldn't you insist the testing be mutual?
-
It's bullshit that she doesn't have to undergo drug testing too.
-
Well, she hired a pr spin person today, the Olivia Pope woman, so she must know she's gone horribly off the tracks. Or at least someone in her camp knows. http://hollywoodlife.com/2016/09/29/angelina-jolie-hires-scandal-fixer-judy-smith-brad-pitt-divorce/

How much of this do you think is rippling jealousy of Amal Clooney's serious reputation. Like, she's been usurped as Hollywoods crusader for social justice.

I think I'm in love with that article. I love it

Yes! Thanks for finding it. I guess it doesn't really fit but it's one of those things that would have kep bugging me until I found it.

I really thought there was a blind item about a couple that had a big magazine spread coming out and so they couldn't split right way. I felt like at the time we speculated it was Architectural Digest (or maybe that was in the blind, it was an older one) but I can't find it in the blind items forum. Does anyone else remember that one? I guess it could have been a wedding spread too, it just feels like something is crawling in the back of my memory.
