Hoyaheel 1,874 Report post Posted September 5, 2023 My corrupting uncle introduced me to Jimmy Buffett music in 1985, took me to my first Buffett concert in 1988. His death (4 year battle with Merkel cell carcinoma, rare skin cancer) hit me hard. I had a LOT of family and friends text me over the weekend to see how I was doing, which is funny (I introduced Buffett's music to all my friends, took so many people to their first concerts) Listened to a lot of Buffett music this weekend, happy I got to enjoy the music for so long.ย ๐๐ 1

dixiedoodah 1,003 Report post Posted October 29, 2023 This one makes me sad. He had such a hard time with his demons in life and you just always wanted it to work out for him. Iโm not sure if he had a relapse or if his heart was in bad shape because of it, or he was just an unfortunate younger death, but canโt help but speculate.

James Otto Sweet Heart 28 Report post Posted February 6 (edited) I am not ready to let go of Toby Keith. Go here for a picture of me and my mom with himย at the CMA Music Festival on June 13, 2000. This was just two months after his song named "How Do You Like Me Now?" finished its five-week stay at #1. My mom and me were at the event because it was her high school graduation gift to me. Toby couldn't have been more of a gentleman to us. God bless you and his family and my mom always!!! Holly P.S. Cancer can kiss my country music keister. Hoyaheel 1,874 Report post Posted February 6 Fuck cancer. But also, imagine Kris Kristofferson waiting to spit on his grave. (if you don't know, look up what Kristofferson had to say about good ole Toby - never fails to make me laugh). And, well, I'm a Chicks fan, so I'm not losing sleep tonight. ย
James Otto Sweet Heart 28 Report post Posted February 6 ^^^ According to what I found here, what I guess it is that you are referring to here may not have even happened in the first place. Both Toby and Kris deny that anything negative ever once did take place between the two of them. https://www.whiskeyriff.com/2024/01/31/the-crazy-and-possibly-made-up-story-of-kris-kristofferson-toby-keiths-altercation-at-willie-nelsons-70th-birthday/ God bless you and Toby's family and Kris always!!!
