FAQ: How to post Emoticons (smilie faces)

Emoticons are smilie faces and other images you can add to your posts to enforce the tone of whatever you are posting about, like this:

 

 

In order to add them to your post using our system, click the smilie face icon at the top of the text box you are typing in (see arrow below). Then all you need to do is click on the image located at the bottom of the text box you want to use (see circled area below). You can also click the "Show All" option to have a window pop up with additional options.

When I post, I just get a blank text box with none of the things shown in that image. Maybe because I'm almost always on my ipad and it's different for mobile users?

Aha. Yes. I logged in through the Atomic browser which does not appear as a mobile browser (even though I'm on my ipad). Totally different posting interface.

Hum... I know there is a mobile version that kicks in when I check the board with my iPhone (it's blue, but it works). I'll have to check out iPad situation.

I can't see an option for mobile on my iPhone.

When you access the board from your mobile phone, it automatically should go to mobile version. The big difference is the regular board is purple themed, the mobile one is blue. Do you see purple or blue when using your mobile phone??

Iphone blue, ipad purple, but still not the same functionality as desktop. It all works though, just FYI.
