"Security was watertight," revealed my source. "Nobody made it through the suite doors who wasn't already on a pre-approved list. Once you were inside it was obvious why.

 

"People were doing cocaine all over the place. They were chopping out line after line on the expensive furniture and snorting it up. The lights were low and there were scented candles all over the place.

"When Kate arrived, she reached for a Diamond Chaser—a cocktail of vintage champagne and cognac—and made her way to the master bedroom."

 

Inside another party was under way—a steamy romp between two stunning models and a male partygoer.

 

The source explained: "The three of them were kissing and caressing one another and about four or five other people were in the room watching."

 

Birthday girl Kate pushed through the gathering and sprawled on the bed—and the three partygoers pounced on her.

At the age of 34, it did seem that finally Kate Moss's hard-partying ways were beginning to take their toll on her million-pound looks.

 

A night out on the town at the start of the week showed the supermodel looking rather worse for wear as she partied until the early hours.

 

However, her latest modelling pictures show Moss back on top form - looking stunning and sexy with a flawless complexion and her trademark ethereal beauty.

 

Posing with a huge designer handbag, a Marilyn Monroe-esque blonde bob and body-hugging black basque, it's not hard to see why after 20 years in the business, Moss is still one of the world's most in-demand models.

 

It has been a different story for Moss away from the flattering lenses of fashion photographers however, with wrinkles beginning to appear around her eyes and her hair adopting a scraggy look.

 

 

The model has increasingly been seen looking dishevelled after excessive partying with boyfriend Jamie Hince.

 

On Monday night, the couple made a visit to a private members' club in the capital's exclusive Mayfair area, before visiting a friend's house in Kensington.

 

At 1.30am, as she returned to her home in North London, Moss was looking haggard as she puffed away on a cigarette.

Moss Parts with Torn Dress

Supermodel Kate Moss has donated a damaged Christian Dior dress to a charity auction aimed at raising funds for cancer research.

 

The catwalk beauty has handed her once-prized evening gown to her pal James Brown, who has organized the auction for Cancer Research U.K.

 

The item comes with a backside-exposing tear, as captured on paparazzi cameras last September as Moss left a London party. The infamous photos have helped make the glamorous frock a collector's item.

 

Other celebrities who have made contributions to Brown's fundraiser are Sienna Miller, Kylie Minogue, Jemima Khan, Lily Allen and Sadie Frost.

Supermodel Kate Moss and rock royalty Kelly Osbourne seemed like they had something to celebrate last night and two parties were not enough. Kelly, one half of Team Double Trouble, started out the evening looking fresh-faced at the NME awards but after hopping from club to club Kelly didn't look so fresh or so clean when the group headed back to Kelly’s North London flat for a little after-hours soiree.

 

 

 

The night started off with good clean fun, when Kelly walked the red carpet at the NME awards looking like a vision in sparkles with a black miniskirt, silver top, boots and a blazer. Things quickly turned debaucherous, however. Kelly shared a table with fellow rock spawn Kimberly Stewart and according to a report in London’s Daily Mail, Kelly fired back at NME host James Corden after he introduced her as “the queen of hanging with the bands,” a name that did not sit well with Kelly, who rifled back, “Go f*** your mother, Mr. Queen of hanging with the bands.”

 

Kelly also expressed disappointment in her pal Amy Winehouse’s nomination for Villian of the Year, saying, “I think it’s unfair to knock someone when they’re down.”

 

Perhaps Kelly took out her frustration by partying, when she and her model pal Kate, and Kate’s rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince headed over to club Punk in London’s SoHo area after the awards. According to the Daily Mail, the former Calvin Klein model, “exited the club unsteadily with her head hanging down, wearing black shorts and a leather jacket, and opaque tights which appeared to have stains on them.”

Anti-drugs chief hits out at Winehouse, Moss

U.N. anti-drugs chief denounces celebrities Amy Winehouse and Kate Moss

 

LONDON, England (CNN) -- The United Nations' anti-drugs chief has denounced celebrities such as pop star Amy Winehouse and supermodel Kate Moss, saying that their alleged drug use was helping devastate West Africa.

 

Amy Winehouse's battles with her addiction are well-documented.

 

1 of 3 "Coke-snorting fashionistas are not only damaging their noses and brains -- they are contributing to state failure on the other side of the world," wrote Antonio Maria Costa, the executive director of the UN's Office on Drugs and Crime.

 

The comments, published in an opinion piece in the British newspaper The Observer, was the second time in two weeks that the United Nations has criticized celebrity drug use.

 

A report last week by the International Narcotics Control Board said that drug laws should not be disproportionately applied. And letting celebrities get away with drug use creates a perception among youth that those offenders are treated leniently. Costa, in his piece, said the cocaine used in Europe passes through impoverished countries in west Africa where governments haven't been able to mount an effective fight against the drug traders.

 

"In the 19th century, Europe's hunger for slaves devastated west Africa," he said. "Two hundred years later, its growing appetite for cocaine could do the same."

 

The drug trade, Costa said, has corrupted the governments of some countries, and created addicts in a continent where treatment facilities are rare.

 

"Amy Winehouse might adopt a defiant pose and slur her way through 'Rehab' (her Grammy Award-winning hit) but does she realize the message she sends to others who are vulnerable to addiction and who cannot afford expensive treatment?" he said.

 

Winehouse's battles with her addiction are well-documented. The singer -- whose song "Rehab" describes her reluctance to enter a rehabilitation center -- checked herself into one on January 24 after the leak of a home video that showed her smoking something in a glass pipe. What was in the pipe was unknown. Scotland Yard has said it is looking into the video.

 

Winehouse scooped up five statues at the Grammy Awards last month, including the best record and song of the year for "Rehab."

 

Winehouse's spokesman, Chris Goodman, called Costa a "ludicrous man."

 

"Amy has never given a quote about drugs or flaunted it in any way," Goodman told the newspaper. "She's had some problems and is trying to get better. The U.N. should get its own house in order."

 

Costa also took model Kate Moss to task, contrasting her alleged actions to those of singers Bob Geldof and Bono who have campaigned against poverty in Africa.

 

Bob Geldof is best known for organizing a series of benefit concerts, including Live Aid. Bono, the frontman for U2, has taken on a campaign to get Western nations to write off the debt they are owed by some African countries.

 

"For every rebel with a cause, there are 10 others without a clue," Costa wrote.

 

"While some well-meaning pop idols and film stars might rage against suffering in Africa, their work is being undermined by the drug habits of careless peer such as Kate Moss."

 

Three years ago, London's Daily Mirror newspaper printed photos it said showed the Moss using cocaine.

 

She later issued a statement where she apologized to "all the people I have let down" and said she took "full responsibility" for her actions.

The Kills star proposed while the couple was enjoying a romantic break in Amsterdam, Holland, reports British newspaper The Sun.

 

The publication reports that the catwalk beauty emerged from a cafe in the city and told a group of admirers of her wedding plans.

 

A source tells the newspaper, "The pair were in a bar looking very loved up. She came out giggling and seemed a bit tipsy.

 

"Lots of fans were taking her picture on their mobile phones. She told them,' I'm getting married.'

 

"One girl asked her when, and she said, 'Soon.'"

Moss tops Glamour fashion list, Minogue tumbles

 

 

LONDON (Reuters) - British supermodel Kate Moss has regained her crown at the top of Glamour magazine's annual best-dressed women list, replacing 2007 winner Kylie Minogue who slumped to 19th this year.

 

Moss, 34, dominated the list before the Australian pop star overtook her, but Minogue's fashion choices during the past 12 months have been too "outlandish" for many voters' tastes, a spokesman for the magazine said.

 

Behind Moss was British actress Sienna Miller in second place, followed by U.S. actresses Scarlett Johansson, Rachel Bilson and Jennifer Aniston in third, fourth and fifth places respectively.

 

"Kate's back with a vengeance," said Jo Elvin, editor of Glamour, of the poll decided by Glamour readers. "Her maverick approach to fashion is an inspiration and shows us all how to be a little more daring and experimental."

 

Minogue's slide was partly blamed on her appearance on television talent show the X Factor wearing a figure-hugging lace catsuit that divided viewers and fashion watchers.

 

Topping the worst-dressed list in Glamour this year was U.S. singer Britney Spears. Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham was voted ninth worst-dressed of 2008, but also came 10th in the best-dressed list.

The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince and his group infuriated staff at a Barcelona hotel with their loud antics as they filmed a video in one of the suites.

 

After ignoring all pleas to keep quiet, staff phoned the police.

 

Jamie's bandmate Alison Mosshart said: "They demanded the tapes. They were called because we woke up some silly b*****d who couldn't take her hands off the phone to the front desk."

Moss Sparks Safety Fears Over Quad Bike Ride

 

British supermodel KATE MOSS has sparked outrage after she was photographed riding a quad bike with her five-year-old daughter without a crash helmet.

 

The catwalk queen has been accused of taking an unacceptable risk as she drove the vehicle with Lila Grace close to her home in the English countryside.

 

But the move has angered health and safety groups.

 

A spokesman for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents says, "Thousands suffer injuries a year in quad bike accidents. It’s usually through lack of training to lack of protective clothing.

 

"Quad bikes should only be used for the number of people that they are designed for otherwise they may be liable to tip over. The health and safety executive would recommends that people wear helmets."

 

In 2003, rock star Ozzy Osbourne was admitted to intensive care at a UK hospital after being injured in a quad bike accident.

But now Kate Moss has pulled the plug on her romance with rock guitarist boyfriend Jamie Hince.

 

The couple’s relationship has been notoriously torrid – they have split up at least three times before – but this time, friends say, it’s over for good. A furious argument about Kate’s non-stop party lifestyle was the last straw – and Kate, 34, has told Jamie, 39, that they are finished.

 

 

A friend of the pair said: ‘Kate thinks there is no going back this time and has told Jamie to keep away from her.

 

‘Although she has said that before, she has never appeared as hurt as this and the rows have never been this bad.’

 

Whispers about the state of the couple’s relationship started last week when Kate was notably absent from London Fashion Week, where she was expected at a number of catwalk shows and parties.

 

 

 

Her only appearance was at close friend Vivienne Westwood’s Red Label show on Thursday evening. Despite her initial smiles for the cameras, she was later pictured smoking alone with a single tear running down her face.
