Lindsay Lohan still broke and a mess

Recommended Posts

At 17 she was completely stunning. Granted, she looked like she was 32 years old, but still... gorgeous. Her photo progression would make for a fantastic anti-drug ad campaign.

Lindsay Lohan judge removes herself from case The Associated Press, August 11, 2010

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) -- The judge who sent Lindsay Lohan to jail has removed herself from the case after a prosecutor complained she improperly contacted a rehab center about the court-ordered treatment of the actress.

District attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison said Wednesday that Judge Marsha Revel recused herself Friday.

Robison says the contact with the rehab center was among several instances when Revel improperly

communicated with participants and experts without the prosecutor present.

Superior Court Judge Elden Fox is now handling the Lohan case.

The actress was released Aug. 2 from the women's jail in Lynwood, where she served 14 days of a 90-day sentence for violating her probation in a 2007 drug case.

TMZ.com first reported the recusal Wednesday.

And that won't include the daily doctor's visits or the meds administered during the stay. And the medical tests.

Lindsay Lohan is likely to be released early from court-ordered rehab, RadarOnline.com is reporting exclusively.

radaronline.com

Danette Meyers, the prosecutor in Lindsay’s case, told RadarOnline.com that Lindsay most likely will be free before spending her entire 90 day sentence in rehab at UCLA Medical Center.

“My understanding from conversations with Shawn Chapman Holley is that Miss Lohan could be released early from the treatment facility,” Meyers told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “It is looking as if that is what the health care professionals are going to recommend.

“How much earlier she could be released I’m unsure of at this point.

“I will follow what the health care professional advise. That could involve follow up treatment for Miss Lohan, however, it is my understanding that it is looking like the health care professionals will be recommending that she be released earlier than the 90 days Judge Revel previously ordered.”

Judge Marsha Revel sentenced Lindsay to jail and rehab but recently recused herself from the case.

Lindsay’s attorney Shawn Chapman Holley told RadarOnline.com on Wednesday that the actress looks healthy and can’t wait to return to work.

Holley told RadarOnline.com: "Ms. Lohan looks very good. She looks healthy. My client is looking forward to returning to work on her many creative endeavors upon her release from the treatment facility."

WTF?? :3huh: If the court orders 90 days in-patient rehab, that is what the facility does. The facility releases her early, not only can she get in trouble but so can the facility....

I hope you are right. I could see them sending her to another facility after the initial 45 day span is done, but I highly doubt they will say she's doing so well that she'll be recommended to do NOTHING. It's only been 11 days, so it's highly unlikely that she'll have reached a point of personal accountability.

Anyone see the stories that Mama Lohan is going on the Today show tomorrow?

Dina Lohan Talks Lindsay in Tense 'Today' Visit, Says Star Is Moving Back East

By PopEater Staff Posted Aug 13th 2010 08:14AM

Dina Lohan defended the way she raised her daughter Lindsay in an oft-tense interview with 'Today' host Matt Lauer, saying she had to let the troubled actress go through personal trials in order to emerge a better person.

"As a parent, you have to let them go a little bit," she said during the Friday morning chat. "When she went out to Los Angeles when she was 19, I had to let her live and fall and fail and survive. Without failure, there's no success."

Dina stressed that she does not condone Lindsay's behavior -- "You can't make your child not go out and go to a club and not get behind the wheel of a car" -- and confirmed reports that Lindsay will be released early from rehab, but declined to say exactly when.

Dina Lohan said her daughter, currently in court-ordered rehab, was doing "wonderfully" after 14 days in jail for a DUI probation violation. The showbiz mom blasted Judge Marsha Revel for going "overboard" with her sentence and reveled in her recent recusal of the case.

"The judge played hardball," she told Lauer. "Lindsay was in with alleged murderers and she's become friends with a lot of them. Lindsay rolled with the punches and she's doing wonderfully."

Throughout the interview, Lauer was pointed with his questions, and Lohan brushed off the notion that many believe Lindsay had her punishment coming to her because of bad behavior.

"I think that's all propaganda and what people are reading," she told him. "As you know, you're in the business of entertainment, so I think a lot of it is pre-orchestrated and you're reading things that are not based on fact."

Lohan also said Lindsay will moving back to New York after finishing her commitments in Los Angeles. California is "a wonderful state," she said, but "it's a different game you play there, the court system is a little different."

Just after Dina's 'Today' show appearance, her ex-husband, Michael Lohan, was interviewed on 'The Early Show,' and voiced his disapproval of Lindsay's early release from rehab. "She needs help. If she's not taken off all of the drugs, if she doesn't have therapy, family therapy as well as individual, I feel it's just a Band-Aid and it's not going to get any better," he said.

Michael also expressed his desire to reconnect with Lindsay as she continues along the road to recovery -- "We have to mend fences ... This is not something we can just overlook anymore" -- and lamented his poor relationship with Dina. "I don't understand how she comes out with some of these things she says," Michael said. "But that's on her. That's not on me. This is about our daughter. It's not about being part of her career. It's about being parents."

The woman is a moron and an ass. "The judge played hardball, the judge played hardball, the judge played hardball"...over and over. It's clear that Dina is in total denial that Lindsay has ever done anything wrong at all, much less brought all this trouble down on her own head. The interview was unbelievable, but I can see mom's probably been quite the enabler in teaching her kids to refuse to take responsibility for one's actions. Loser.

Ok, I soooo do not understand this!

Lindsay Lohan -- Early Release

8/16/2010 1:00 AM PDT by TMZ Staff

Turns out Lindsay Lohan will indeed be getting out of the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital ... as early as this week, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Our sources say Lindsay's doctors have not written their final report, but they have already concluded her psychiatric problems are not nearly as severe as first thought. We've been told there were indications Lindsay was bipolar but that proved not to be the case.

In addition, the doctors do not believe the drug dependency issues are as severe as first thought. As we reported, Lindsay had big issues with Adderall, but the docs don't think it requires much more inpatient care.

Bottom line ... sources say it's "very possible" Lindsay is getting out this week and will begin getting outpatient care.

One obstacle -- the judge must approve early release. We're told once the doctors write their final report, Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, can go back into court and ask the judge to spring her client from her 90-day rehab sentence.

If the medical professionals think releasing her is a good idea, the judge will almost certainly go along with it.

Stay tuned...

I call bullshit. Mamma D is feeding stories to TMZ, wishful thinking on her part that facility is going to recommend LL go home early, and that the judge will ok it.

There is no way UCLA would recommend her getting completely released before their standard 45 days. However, they may allow her to do OUTPATIENT, a decision usually made only when it appears insurance won't cover inpatient. UCLA would lose its credibility if they recommended that a mess like that be released from a standard program before she had gone through what all the rest of them are required to go through. I agree, this is Orange Oprah's BS.

Oh, and outpatient merely means "sleep at home." The outpatients are required to show up for all the daily activities that the inpatients are required to attend, and these do all day long and into the night.

EXCLUSIVE: Doctors Recommend Month Stint In Rehab For Lindsay Lohan; Next Court Date Not Until Next Week

.radaronline.com

Posted on Aug 19, 2010 @ 10:30AM

Doctors overseeing Lindsay Lohan's court ordered rehabilitation have recommended to the judge overseeing her treatment that she spend no more than 30 days at UCLA Medical Center, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

That was one of the key recommendations to emerge from a meeting between the Deputy District Attorney and Lohan’s high-powered lawyer at Beverly Hills Courthouse on Wednesday.

Lohan is in DAY 17 of the court imposed 90-day program, however as RadarOnline.com has reported, the troubled starlet is expected to be released sooner than expected.

Lohan’s own camp had expected the Mean Girls star to be released TODAY.

But after a meeting between the D.A. Danette Meyers and Lohan’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley in Judge Elden Fox’s chambers, the next hearing to discuss the actress has been scheduled for August 25 — next Wednesday.

“It is to discuss Lindsay’s treatment,” a source familiar with the case told RadarOnline.com.

Lohan was admitted to the UCLA earlier this month after being released from jail, as part of her 90-day sentence for breaching the terms of her 2007 probation order.

Um.... I have never heard of a facility "recommending" less time than the court orders..... If the judge lets her out, I'm going to have to switch industries....

It would be great if the judge said 'You're right. She can leave rehab and return to jail to serve the remainder of the 90 days.' It'll never happen but I would to see it. :smileapprove:

Adderall May Have Unhinged Lindsay Lohan

Published August 20, 2010

| TMZ

X17Online.com

Lindsay Lohan's Adderall dependence -- the result of a medical misdiagnosis -- may have been the reason she went off the rails.

As TMZ first reported, the docs at the UCLA rehab facility believe Lindsay was misdiagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and then prescribed Adderall to treat the phantom affliction.

Dr. Joe Haraszti, a prominent L.A. addiction specialist tells TMZ that people who take Adderall when they don't need it can experience similar effects as people who use cocaine or methamphetamine.

Haraszti says people who unnecessarily take Adderall can display manic symptoms and often do things like "driving around until all hours of the morning, smoking heavily, tweeting and texting all night long." The doc adds, "They can become very impulsive."

The doc also notes that people in that situation "might then complain of insomnia and then take Ambien or other sleep aids to help fall asleep in a vicious cycle"

Dr. Marc Kern, another addiction expert, tells us alcohol abuse is also very common among patients who take Adderall.

Dr. Kern tells us, "The Adderall counteracts the sedative side effects of alcohol use … making these people often drink more than someone who does not take the drug."

Bottom line -- a bad medical diagnosis may have set the ball rolling that unhinged Lindsay's life.

Adderall is a amphetamine, people with a history of drug abuse tend to get a "high" off it, which is why they take it to begin with.... So saying that Adderall is what CAUSED the problems is kinda lame...

Something is going on here. I cannot believe that any experts on addiction would let that mess go with an explanation like that. The disease of addiction runs in her family, and that alone should qualify her to complete at least the first round of 28-45 days. I think TMZ has a source that is listening to Orange Oprah.

Wasn't there an epidemic (of sorts) of "starlets" taking this to stay thin? Would be interesting to see who prescribed it for her...
