The Road Less Traveled

Recommended Posts

I just got back from a lovely vacation. On the way back we stopped in Iceland for 3 nights. The last day we spent at the Blue Lagoon. Has anyone ever done that before?? That was one of the coolest places I've ever been. Even got the in-water salt scrub, algae wrap and massage. I didn't want to leave :D If you've never heard of it before, type in "blue lagoon" google images and drool away.

Thought would be interesting to see where some other ChitChatters have gone that knocked their socks off :)

I hardly travel anywhere, so I'm glad to hear you had a great time.

My husband and i got a little camper this year and we spent a lot of 2017 taking the kids camping. Nowhere particularly special, but it was good to get away. Even better -- the site we frequent barely gets any service, so I was forced to disconnect from my phone/tablet/computer and just RELAX.

I use to travel across the US in the summers as a kid with my family in an RV. I have very fond memories of those trips. :)

My mom loved Iceland - it's on my list!

My husband turns 50 this year and we're not sure what we're going to do, travel-wise. Maybe Norwegian fjords? We're going to Canada in a couple weeks, though, for some winter wonderland! Banff & Lake Louise, a place we've both wanted to visit for ages. Not loving the fact that the HIGH temps these days are below zero, but I think they're supposed to have a warm spell next week ;-) I want to do Machu Picchu - maybe for my 50th ;-)

Easter Island is on my bucket list. Most people I know that went say it's ok, but I don't care - I want to see it for myself!
