There was speculation last month that 21-year-old Bar might be pregnant when she wore a loose-fitting top to a bash at Jet Nightclub at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Nice.

I know whenever I wear a loose fitting shirt it must mean that I'm pregnant. Not that I couldn't find anything to wear, not that she was going through that time of the month, but whatever.

Are they really expecting a child? My god man, why is everybody becoming a baby daddy - everyone male celebrity I have a crush on is either knocking up some woman or dating Reese Witherspoon...I hate my life.

Trust me, no trust me I'd trade you an unplanned, embarrassing woody in front of your boss every morning noon and night just to get rid of periods for 2 months. :D

Deal?  ;)

I have girl friends. No deal. ;)

Well then think yourself lucky and don't complain! ;)

Just put yourself in poor Tom Cruise's shoes for five minutes. (Okay, maybe not the best example...)

May 2, 2007 -- THE supermarket scandal sheets will go to amazing lengths to try to "out" even the straightest Hollywood stars, a new tell-all on the tabloid biz reveals.

That's the assignment freelance writer Marlise Elizabeth Kast got when editors at Globe asked her to check out their bizarre suspicions that longtime friends Tobey Maguire, whose "Spider-Man 3," opens Friday, and Leonardo DiCaprio, star of "Blood Diamond," were lovers.

In "Tabloid Prodigy," out this month from Running Press, Kast writes how she tracked down Maguire's mother, Wendy, a secretary, and "told her that I was working on an article for a gay pride magazine about sexual expression among Hollywood stars. I asked her if she'd be willing to share any thoughts about her son's close bond with Leonardo."

Wendy Maguire responded to Kast, "I figured this subject would come up sooner or later . . . Those two are just free-spirited guys. Most of the friends they hang around with are gay. They're comfortable with that. But I think Leo and Tobey are the crossover between men and women. They have feminine traits they are willing to accept. They aren't ashamed to have any sort of title, even if that means someone calling them gay."

Kast continues, "Wendy continued to recount her liberal views, divulging details of how the two friends 'shared a bed and wore ribbons in their hair.' " While Kast wasn't about to claim the stars were gay, "Wendy had provided exactly what the editors wanted - insinuations."

Maguire's rep, Kelly Bush, said, "This is so ridiculous I don't feel the need to respond." DiCaprio's rep, Ken Sunshine, said, "It's completely made up and untrue."

Both heartthrobs have bedded their share of beautiful women. DiCaprio is dating Israeli bombshell Bar Refaeli and had a long relationship with Gisele Bundchen. Maguire dated his "Spider-Man" co-star Kirsten Dunst and has a son with his girlfriend, Jennifer Meyer. They were also members with David Blaine and Lukas Haas of the notorious "P - - - y Posse" that trawled Manhattan nightclubs for hot babes in the mid-1990s.

Tobey Maguire's Mom Makes Him Sound Sorta Gay

Filed under: Leonardo DiCaprio , Tobey Maguire

The New York Post has a piece today on this book "Tabloid Prodigy", in which author Marlise Elizabeth Kast recounts tales of when she worked for the scandal sheets and was given the assignment to write a story on Tobey Maguire and Leo DiCaprio possibly being fresh and fruity. Kast went to Maguire's Moms and chaos ensued.

I like the way they think! If only ALL straight dudes felt that way and were into giving the occasional bro-job. And yes, that's how it's spelled.

Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Keep reading for more details, including bed-sharing and uh, hair ribbons? What? Tobey must love this broad.

I wonder if Spiderman has already threatened to end her life. Hair ribbons? What? What is going on in Young Hollywood? Wendy sounds like she's smoked a lot of the reefer in her day.

But I thought David Blaine and Lukas Haas were gay as well?? Not to mention that I thought both Bundchen and Dunst were known beards. But in the end what does it matter? I'm a straight female who has always enjoyed Dicaprio in his films even though I've always felt he was gay. It has yet to ruin a movie for me as I think the guys a great actor. Shouldn't that be enough?

Michael Mann to To Team Up With Leonardo DiCaprio

The duo of Leonardo DiCaprio and director Michael Mann are looking to team up on an untitled nior period drama. The two previously worked together on "The Aviator" which Mann.

Scripted by John Logan, the project is an untitled noir drama that takes place on the old MGM lot in the 1930s. DiCaprio is poised to play the kind of private detective studios once relied on to clean up the scandals created by its stars. He's hired to investigate whether a starlet murdered her husband.

New Line made a bid of around $100 million, said sources, which falls below a projected pricetag of around $120 million. Sources said the script is strong and the film has a period feel reminiscent of "L.A. Confidential."

It will shoot mostly on soundstages, and it works in classic figures like Judy Garland and Bugsy Siegel. The latter is the centerpiece of a shootout scene that unfolds in the Trocadero nightclub on Sunset Boulevard.

It definitely sounds like an intriguing project.

Leonardo DiCaprio Gets Sued

Filed under: Lawsuit , Leonardo DiCaprio

Posted Image

Why do celebrities have such a hard time doing work on their homes? Leonardo DiCaprio is being sued by his neighbors who are claiming he excavated land in a negligent manner.

Usmagazine.com has obtained court papers in which Robert and Joan Linclau allege that by excavating his property on Thrasher Ave. in Los Angeles, Leo, 32, has caused their land to cave in and slide.

Adding insult to supposed injury? The property on Thrasher is not where Leo lives, it's merely an extra lot he purchased to help keep his home on nearby Oriole Dr. more secluded.

I guess this is another casualty of being a celebrity. You buy some land for the privacy, and you end up getting a lawsuit out of it.

I think the problem is with buying property on a hillside and then having workers "grade" it further (if that's the term). It can be very dicey as to the problems it causes. If it's not done right or they're not carefull, it's very easy to cause mini landslides. And if it's your property that's sliding, I can understand the lawsuit.

This sounds similar to what happened with the Aussie singer from Grease (I'm brain-impaired at the moment) in Malibu. You can only push nature so far on a hillside even if you are a famous celeb. ;)

Bar Rafaeli's Play Date

Model Bar Rafaeli took time out of her busy schedule to have a play day with children at St. Lukes Hospital in NYC. Of course, camera's were present, otherwise her play date at St. Lukes wouldn't have happened. The photos are pretty cute, but it is amazing how celebrities love and loathe photographers.

Cannes film festival opens

The Cannes opens on Wednesday with a mix of arthouse movie making and raw star power fitting for cinema's greatest showcase, which turns 60 this year.

Chinese director Wong Kar Wai, best known in the West for "In The Mood For Love," brings "My Blueberry Nights" to the palm-lined Riviera resort, an English language film starring singer Norah Jones in her screen debut alongside Jude Law.

The opening movie kicks off 11 hectic days of networking, deal making and partying among thousands of people from across the industry who descend on Cannes each year.

It is one of 22 competition films, but hundreds more, including major Hollywood productions, are screened and touted, luring the likes of Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Martin Scorsese and Sharon Stone to France's southern coast.

Selectors chose no less than five U.S. productions in the main competition, although two have already been released in their home country to a cool reception.

Quentin Tarantino, adored by the Cannes faithful for his subversive style, presents "Death Proof," part of a double bill that flopped at the box office.

And David Fincher was included for "Zodiac," starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey Jr. in a drama based on a real-life serial killer.

"Often there is that disconnect between what American critics like and what European critics like, so it could be that the Europeans ... think it (Death Proof) is the bees' knees," said Jay Weissberg, movie critic at trade publication Variety.

PREVIOUS WINNERS

Like Tarantino, the Coen Brothers and Gus Van Sant are U.S. directors who have won the coveted Palme d'Or before and are in contention to repeat that success.

They are likely to face stiff competition from two highly regarded Russian film makers -- Andrei Zvyagintsev ("The Banishment") and Alexander Sokurov, whose "Alexandra" is set in Chechnya.

Portraits of life in Iran, Romania, Ukraine, Austria, Mexico, Turkey and Israel also feature in what critics expect to be a vintage lineup.

As ever, out-of-competition films threaten to steal the limelight, with Hollywood sequel "Ocean's 13," starring Clooney and Pitt, premiering in Cannes, and Jolie promoting "A Mighty Heart" based on the story of slain reporter Daniel Pearl.

But there are no genuine blockbusters launching at the festival this year, unlike 2005's Star Wars sequel and 2006's "The Da Vinci Code," which went on to gross $758 million at the worldwide box office despite a critical mauling in Cannes.

There are also fewer political films, although Michael Moore's documentary "SiCKO" about the U.S. healthcare system is likely to cause a stir, just as his anti-Bush polemic "Fahrenheit 9/11" did when it won the 2004 Palme d'Or.

Heartthrob DiCaprio is in town with "11th Hour," an environmental documentary that is the latest product of Hollywood's growing concern over global warming.

And although no British films appear in the main competition this year, some of its biggest music acts are set to light up the silver screen.

"Control" looks at the life and premature death of Joy Division star Ian Curtis while "The Future is Unwritten" examines the Clash's Joe Strummer.

Opening Cannes of 'Blueberry'

The 60th annual Cannes Film Festival opens tonight with the screening of director Wong Kar-wai's English-language My Blueberry Nights, starring Jude Law, Norah Jones, Natalie Portman, and Rachel Weisz. A bevy of top Hollywood stars are expected to walk the festival's famed red carpet during the upcoming week and a half, including George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Craig, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie. The festival is also scheduled to screen edgy artistic efforts from some of the world's most acclaimed filmmakers. Many critics who have made the trek to Cannes annually have commented that this year's lineup is one of the strongest ever. "Cannes manages to blend glitz and artistic credibility in a way no other film festival does," the Associated Press commented today.

Norah Jones film opens at Cannes

CANNES, France (AP) -- The Cannes Film Festival celebrated its 60th edition with an opening movie that blends an indie sensibility and a glittering cast: Wong Kar-wai's New York-California road trip tale starring Jude Law and Norah Jones in her acting debut.

The 11-day Riviera festival strives for just the right mix of arthouse films and star power, and "My Blueberry Nights" has both. Hong Kong director Wong ("In The Mood for Love") is a Cannes favorite, as are many of the other filmmakers showing movies for the anniversary edition, including Michael Moore, Quentin Tarantino and the Coen brothers.

In the opening film, Jones plays a woman who hits the road to cure her broken heart. Wong heard her sultry voice and knew he had a role for her.

"Basically, when you listen to her voice only, without seeing her face, you can have a kind of a story out of it," he said. The movie is his first English-language feature.

Jones said she was terrified when they shot her first scene with Law, in a New York cafe.

"I remember the first take we did, my voice was really high," she said, finishing her sentence with a squeak. "I was just terribly nervous, and Kar-wai came over and patted me on the back and I relaxed a little."

But Wong said Jones grew more at ease over the shoot -- she impressed him in a scene where he asked her to cry.

"We rolled the camera and she cried, and after that I said, 'Well, it's great,' and she said, 'Do you want one more?"' Wong said.

Other stars in the movie include Natalie Portman, who plays a Nevada girl on a gambling streak; David Strathairn, in a terrific turn as an alcoholic policeman and Rachel Weisz as his unhappy wife.

Cannes was founded in 1939 as an alternative to the Venice Film Festival in Mussolini's Italy -- but almost as soon as it opened, the festival was canceled because World War II broke out. Cannes did not get going in earnest until the 1950s.

The festival is looking back at its glamorous history this year with a photo exhibit on the beach. There's Cary Grant in black tie, Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty hailed by paparazzi and Kim Novak in a limousine, with raindrops sparkling on the window like diamonds.

But Cannes is not celebrating its anniversary with nostalgia alone. For a feature-length homage to the movies, it commissioned 35 shorts from directors including Wong, Roman Polanski ("The Pianist"), Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu ("Babel"), the Coens ("Fargo") and Wim Wenders ("Wings of Desire.")

Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese ("The Departed") has been enlisted to give a master class on moviemaking. And a host of Hollywood talent will be on hand for the stargazers who wait in the sun with ladders all day to stake their place near the red carpet.

Al Pacino, George Clooney, Matt Damon and Brad Pitt will promote threequel "Ocean's Thirteen," Leonardo DiCaprio brings his environmental documentary "The 11th Hour," and celebrity super couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will appear -- he for "Ocean's Thirteen," she for "A Mighty Heart," in which she plays the widow of murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.

The main competition involves 22 films from countries including Israel, South Korea and Mexico, as well as movies from four directors who have already been crowned with Cannes' top prize, the Palme d'Or: Tarantino's gory "Death Proof," the Coens' Rio Grande thriller "No Country for Old Men," Gus Van Sant's "Paranoid Park" and Sarajevo-born Emir Kusturica's "Promise Me This."

Michael Moore, whose "Fahrenheit 9/11" won the top prize at Cannes in 2004, is not competing for awards this year. But "Sicko," his look at the U.S. health care system, is sure to be one of the festival's most talked-about movies. The U.S. Treasury Department opened an investigation into a trip Moore took to Cuba -- accompanied by a group of ailing Sept. 11 rescue workers -- during the film's shooting.

Other past winners of the festival's top prize include "Rome, Open City," "The Third Man," "Blowup," "M..A..S..H," "Taxi Driver" and "Apocalypse Now."

LEO'S NEW GIRL

He won't let a Daya go by

Zoe 20/05/2007

LEONARDO Di-Caprio's romance with Bar Rafaeli looks like it is dead and buried - after I caught the actor snuggling up to gorgeous Latino actress Daya Fernandez here in Cannes.

The hot actor, who is at the film festival for a few days of promotion for his ecological thriller 11th Hour, smuggled Puerto Rican-born Daya, 32, on to his yacht soon after arriving on Friday night. But he's gone out of his way to avoid being spotted with her.

Leo even drove the short distance to Kid Rock's boat, where the singer was throwing a party for showbiz mates including James Blunt and David Furnish, in a blacked-out limo.

But 32-year-old Leo was worried about photographers. So he drove back to his own yacht, moored a few berths down the harbour, where he threw a more intimate party for his new girl.

Daya - who has had a minor role as a cleaning lady in Penelope Cruz's Bandidas and as a shoe designer in Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom's Elizabethtown - has barely left Leo's side since Friday.

Although they have known each other as friends for many years, after meeting through mutual LA acquaintances, sources close to Leo say their relationship has developed into romance.

She has been invited to this afternoon's lavish De Grisogono lunch on the terrace at The Hotel Martinez as his guest.

After spending a lazy day together, they will both attend Vanity Fair's dinner party at The Hotel Du Cap in Antibes tonight.

And there's no sign of Israeli model Bar, who has been linked to Leo for the past year.

Friends say they have grown apart as their careers have taken them in different directions around the world.

"Daya and Leo are inseparable," said a friend of Leo. "They have known each other for years but have never got together because Leo's never single. Now Daya has him all to herself in sunny Cannes and things are moving really quickly - they can't get enough of each other."

Leo is promoting his environmental documentary 11th Hour - but he is being criticised for his own carbon footprint.

Critics are angry with the way he is clocking up the airmiles to promote the film.

I wonder if there's a blind item about to come out? ;)

I love Leo as an actor but in his personal life, to me, it's just like with Jake Gyllenhaal. The only difference is the women Leo hooks up are always from another country and usually looking to make a break into being a VS model or into acting.

Kid Rock scrams from Cannes because of Pam

Kid Rock had to flee a restaurant in Cannes Thursday night when his ex, Pamela Anderson, walked in.

The rocker had been celebrating the French film festival at Baoli with his newer model, May Anderson, along with singer James Blunt and sizzling Swedish centerfold Victoria Silvstedt. The bash was thrown by Unik, owner of New York's Gin Lane.

"All of a sudden," says our spywitness, "Kid is like, 'Let's go, let's go!' He grabs May and pulls her out, and they leave right away. Kid Rock freaks out, and I've never seen him like that in my life. He left James Blunt there!"

Rock left Blunt clueless in the loo, but they hooked up later at the V.I.P. Room, where strippers abounded and Jude Law was sitting on the floor, philosophizing.

Blunt, possibly still pining over deep dish Petra Nemcova, seemed happy with the escape. "The strippers were giving him cigarettes out of their mouths, giving him lap dances. He was totally into it. He was there all night."

Back at Unik's party, model Marcus Schenkenberg, another Pamela Anderson ex, ratted Rock out. "He told her Kid Rock was in the building, and she got upset. Marcus said, 'Yeah, and I think he's going to leave because you're here.' Then she got on her BlackBerry and started texting somebody — she was so mad that he would leave to avoid her."

Big bad Rock! It's not like Pam had a rolling pin or anything.

Meanwhile, Leonardo DiCaprio had paparazzi tripping over themselves when he joined actress Daya Fernandez at a yacht party. Contrary to British reports, we're assured it wasn't his yacht and Fernandez is just a friend. DiCaprio, who is due to begin shooting "Revolutionary Road" today in N.Y.C. with his "Titantic" co-star Kate Winslet, came to Cannes to screen "The 11th Hour." Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter celebrated the compelling eco-documentary with a party on Saturday at the Hotel du Cap.

Mischa Barton, Valentino, Faye Dunaway, Kyle MacLachlan, Kid Rock, Kerry Washington, Barry Diller and Diane von Furstenberg were among those strolling through the hotel's grounds, made trippy with smoke and colored searchlights. Besides the sight of Carter and actress Kelly Lynch leading a conga line, the big head-turners were Bono and his U2 mates, who came over after giving a mini-concert to launch their film "U2 3D." We hear the Irish minstrels are headed next to Morocco to gather sounds for their next album.

Leonardo DiCaprio Finds It Ain't Easy Being Green

Filed under: Cannes , Leonardo DiCaprio

At the Cannes film festival, Leonardo DiCaprio attended a screening of his latest film, "The 11th Hour," a documentary about the environment, which predicts a gloomy fate for the planet if pollution goes unchecked. DiCaprio was quizzed by reporters, who implied that the actor's "green" ideals are at odds with his celebrity lifestyle.

Asked whether he had taken a fuel-guzzling flight on his way to the French Riviera, the Hollywood heartthrob was sarcastic. "No, I took a train across the Atlantic," he said, adding: "We're all trying the best we can, truly, we really are."

Whatever, the dude drives a Prius and seems to genuinely want to raise awareness about the environment by pretty consistently putting his money where his mouth is. I'm sure it's not possible to be all green all the time, so at least he's making a valiant effort. Plus, he's dated a Victoria's Secret angel. If I had, that's how I would end all arguments--by bringing that up.

Here’s the weekly Leo break-up rumor. Star Magazine is reporting that Leonardo Dicaprio has broken up with model girlfriend Bar Rafaeli.

Leo has been in Cannes for the past week to promote his film The 11th Hour and Bar to not feel left out is in Cannes as well. The model was spotted partying it up sans Leo in the small town.

"She ran into some friends at the Chopard event that she hadn't seen in a long time. When they asked how Leo was, she told them, 'Don't worry about it.' She seems to have moved on just fine," said source close to Bar.

Not only have they reportedly broken up but according to The Sunday Mirror Leo has already moved on with actress Daya Fernandez.

Good for him! Seriously, sometimes the reporters sound so stupid.

I know that Leo has been very environmentally oriented since 2000 - at least. He's been pretty consistent with it. Part of his official website has been dedicated to environmental issues (and has been for years.) I'm glad he slapped that snotty remark down!

Surfers In Shock

HOLLYWOOD is hitting the Costa Rican coastline, and the surfers are nervous. Vince Vaughn was seen partying at the red-hot Mal Pais Surf Camp and tooling around nearby Mar Azul a few days ago. Kate Moss and Matthew McConaughey have also visited. In addition, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Sting, Giselle Bundchen and Leo DiCaprio have supposedly looked at property in the area. Residents fear the infestation could destroy the area's natural beauty with new construction. "The roads are all dirt and there's not a lot here except great surf," said one nature lover.

Fest's A Cannes Of Passion

THE butt-kicking starlets of "Grindhouse" were cozy with their directors in Cannes. After months of denying Page Six reports of their affair, the film's lead, Rose McGowan, and director Robert Rodriguez finally stepped out as a duo on the red carpet Wednesday night for the screening of "Death Proof," the Quentin Tarantino half of the ode to violent double features of the '70s. Their relationship broke up Rodriguez's marriage to one of the movie's producers. Sultry Rosario Dawson also found love on the set and walked arm in arm with Eli Roth, who directed the "Grindhouse" trailer for the fake horror flick "Thanksgiving." One Hollywood starlet was not so lucky in love on the Riviera. Jessica Simpson was at an exclusive party on a private yacht after the Vanity Fair party at the Hotel Du Cap Saturday night, but she wasn't fitting in with fellow guests. The part-time girlfriend of John Mayer "spent the whole night following Leonardo DiCaprio around like a lost puppy," said our source. "He just seemed freaked out and kind of ignored her." Simpson's rep could not be reached.

I rarely feel sorry for Leonardo but in this case, I'll make an exception.

I almost feel sorry for Jessica, but not really. I can just hear her sleazy father whispering, "Go get with Leonardo DiCaprio for some photos, honey." Then Jessica pathetically follows him around - ick.
