Heather Mills isn't wasting any time, jumping foot first into prepping for the upcoming season of "Dancing With the Stars."

The model and near-divorcee was spotted entering a dance studio yesterday in London, carrying the usual necessities, a bag of groceries, and a leg.

No word on who's footing the bill for her rehearsals.

Heather Mills: Unlikely My Leg Will Fly Off on Dancing

By Stephen M. Silverman

Heather Mills has gone out on a limb in talking about her upcoming stint on Dancing With the Stars.

Discussing whether her prosthetic leg might come off while she's competing, Mills – whose left leg was amputated below the knee after a 1993 motorcycle accident – tells TV's Extra, "I'm quite happy to be thrown around, and hopefully my leg will stay on."

But don't worry, she says: "It's very unlikely my leg is going to fly off, although it would be quite funny. I'll have a strap on which I wouldn't normally in every day life."

With a laugh, she also says of dance partner Jonathan Roberts, "I don't want to let Jonathan down or give anyone in the audience a heart attack."

Still, the estranged wife of Paul McCartney says of the upcoming experience, "To be honest, in my mad crazy life it's actually going to be great fun ... like a holiday!"

But despite tabloid rumors, she's not dating her dance partner. "If anybody does they are just completely stupid," says Mills. "He's a happily married man."

Modesty, if not age, may keep her from donning those revealing DWTS outfits: "Now I'm hitting 40, I think I'll keep my tummy covered." But when she does encounter criticism from the show's judges, Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, Mills says she'll "probably just let it wash over me – it's nothing personal ... If I cry, don't worry about me!"

Girding herself for what's ahead, Mills admits, "I've got no dancing background and with my leg I can't push it. ... I love to dance in the disco, but that's about it. Natural rhythm is coming in handy."

The new season of the ABC show debuts March 19. Besides Mills, other contestants will include Billy Ray Cyrus and former 'N Sync star Joey Fatone.

She sure is milking this wooden leg thing. To stoop to carrying it around hanging out of a purse? She needs to make sure everyone know that her "dancing" handicap is higher than her IQ (which isn't saying much). Just when you think a person can't sink any lower....

Poor Paul :(

Well, Babloo, let's hope you don't have to kill the puppy but the leg flies off anyway. She is underestimating the public and press over here. Does she think people don't know what she's doing to Paul? I bet she gets booed and ousted the first week....AND her leg comes off.

McCartneys Have Their First Court Date

LONDON (AP) -- Paul McCartney and his estranged wife, Heather Mills McCartney, appeared in London's High Court on Thursday for a preliminary hearing in their divorce case.

Mills McCartney, 38, said nothing as she arrived at the courthouse for the closed door session. The 64-year-old former Beatle arrived at the court's backdoor soon after.

McCartney whistled and snapped his fingers as he left the building after the two-hour hearing, flashing a peace sign to photographers stationed outside the court's parking lot before being driven off in a waiting car.

Mills McCartney left through a backdoor about 30 minutes later.

The couple separated last May after four years of marriage and began divorce proceedings in July. They have a 3-year-old daughter, Beatrice.

British law forbids publishing details of allegations in divorce cases. Mills McCartney began legal action against a number of media outlets after disparaging claims about her husband, alleged to have been contained in divorce court papers drawn up on her behalf, were reported in the press.

MILLS NEEDS £10.000 [uS$19,300 or AU$24,000] PER DAY TO "GET BY"

Friday Mar 9 05:00 AEDT

Posted Image

Heather Mills has demanded a whopping £10.000 per day from estranged husband Paul McCartney, saying she needs the money just to "get by".

As their courtroom divorce battle becomes increasingly bitter, a friend of the ex-Beatle tells The Sun magazine that her request is simply "amazing".

“When you consider her humble beginnings, £10,000 [uS$19,300 or AU$24,000] a day is a phenomenal sum to cover her needs. It's as much as some Premiership footballers earn. Many people have to work a year for what she wants to bank in just one day."

Mills, 39, settled on the figure after drawing up her annual cash commitments.

Friends of Sir Paul have also revealed that Mills has offered an similarly expensive alternative — a "high speed" divorce settlement for a one-time total cash payment of $100 million.

McCartney is reportedly refusing the deals, saying claims he is worth $2 billion are grossly exaggerated.

The negotiations are expected to drag on for at least several months.

"Heather is making extremely large demands considering the brevity of the marriage," an insider said.

“He is certainly worth considerably less than the £825 million figure in The Sunday Times Rich List."

Mills and the former Beatles star, who have a three-year-old daughter, announced the end of their four-year marriage last May.

The couple, more than 25 years apart in age, have hired the same law firms that represented Prince Charles and Princess Diana in their divorce in the 1990s.

By Rav Singh & James Desborough

HEATHER Mills has sensationally backed down in her bitter divorce battle with Paul McCartney — and is set to accept a £29 million cash and property settlement.

Sources close to Macca's camp told the News of the World: "It's amazing how quickly things have turned around. Heather has caved in on lots of things — including the money demands and sole custody of daughter Beatrice — and we now expect her to settle."

News of the planned settlement — which works out at £696 an hour for their 1,735 days of marriage so far — comes after a fortnight of blazing rows between the couple.

They have silently faced each other at the High Court three times for opening hearings over the divorce. But in private they have been letting fly.

After one session furious Macca ranted at Heather down the phone:

"I just can't wait until I never have to see your face again!"

But she blasted back: "You'll never get rid of me!"

And in another vicious screaming match about one-legged Heather appearing in US prime time show Dancing With The Stars, Sir Paul labelled the move "tacky".

He rubbished the idea and predicted she will become a "reality TV freak like Anna Nicole Smith".

Gagging

A close friend of Heather insisted that a settlement deal wouldn't buy her silence about claims Paul had been violent towards her.

Heather — dubbed Mucca because of her porn and vice past — has repeatedly told her pal: "I will NOT sign a gagging clause because I want people to know the truth."

But an end to the bitter court battle is in sight after the warring couple — who wed in June 2002 — finally came close to agreement over the key issue of joint child custody.

The Beatles legend had been desperate to secure his share of control over three-year-old Beatrice.

And we can reveal Heather, 39, is expected to drop her outrageous demand for £3.4 million a year (£10,000 a day) just "to get by". Instead it is believed she will accept the scaled-down pay-off.

Included in the deal is one of Macca's homes — likely to be his £4 million luxury Georgian house in St John's Wood, London.

A source close to Sir Paul said: "Heather's completely changed her stance. Only recently Paul's team were worried she might have upped the stakes by threatening to leave England, taking Beatrice with her.

"It didn't happen but it would have driven Paul to the brink. He doesn't care where Heather ends up but he is devoted to caring for Beatrice and couldn't bear the thought of not being able to see her.

"Being realistic it could still take weeks to finally thrash out a deal but they're on the right path and now they're talking the same language. And if negotiations keep going this well it could be even sooner."

The new deal saves 64-year-old Macca a fortune on the £32 million settlement first offered in January and exclusively revealed by the News of the World. Under that proposal Heather would have walked away with TWO houses.

Last week Paul gave a V for victory sign as he left the court.

Now the settlement will be thrashed out by lawyers Anthony Julius and Fiona Shackleton, who arranged the deal between Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

Our source said: "It seems Heather has been stung by the outrage over her cash demands. She thought she was entitled to that much but realises the longer this battle goes on the worse she'll come out of it.

"She's ready now to make a compromise. There's been a great deal of horse-trading between the lawyers.

"Sir Paul will be delighted. All he ever wanted was for this to be settled so he can get on with his life."

But Heather's camp insisted there were other motives behind the new moves — and they centre on the leaked divorce papers that reveal she had accused Macca of humiliating and physically abusing her.

The claims included allegations that Paul poured wine over her, stabbed her arm with a broken glass, shoved her violently into a bath when she was pregnant and pushed her over a coffee table.

A friend said: "He won't let it go to court, that's for sure. Heather has independent witnesses to support her claims, medical evidence and tapes in which he states his intentions very clearly. Why would Paul want that discussed in court and have to live with that stigma for the rest of his life?

"Maybe it's getting closer to a settlement but what's clear is there's a very nasty and evil campaign going on here.

Disgusting

"What McCartney has done is categorically deny the wife-beating, saying it's disgraceful and disgusting, then settle so she won't have a chance to show the evidence to back up what she said.

"I know that Paul's worn her down and she got completely fed up with the whole thing. But he'll never keep her quiet."

On Friday Heather was spotted enjoying drinks at a Brighton pub then dinner at a restaurant with her American make-up artist friend Mark Payne, also pictured with her at court on Tuesday.

Now it's clear that she had plenty to celebrate.

On top of the £29 million deal, legal sources said Paul had failed in an attempt to have Heather's divorce petition citing those accusations of physical abuse thrown out of court.

And she won a larger-than-expected interim annual maintenance payment.

Plus Macca has agreed to pay a lump sum — thought to be as much as £2 million — for her security needs during the divorce procedings. Heather also clinched her right to take Beatrice to Los Angeles to be with her next week as she competes in the dance show.

Her friend stressed: "Heather has NO plans to move to America because she, her friends and family are in England. And there'll be NO custody battle as she and Paul both want Bea to be happy. Heather wants to do this show because it will take her mind off the divorce battle.

"And she wants to take Bea along not as a publicity stunt, as critics claim, but simply because she's a caring mum.

"The deal is she will take Bea out for a couple of weeks during her Easter holiday and then Paul will look after her.

"In the past Heather's been distraught about the backlash she's received over the divorce case. She's been phoning me in tears.

"But she has really enjoyed doing the show and now sounds very upbeat."

Paul McCartney ends court battle with $56 million payment?

Paul Pays Mills $56 Mil to End Battle?

Paul McCartney has reportedly convinced Heather Mills to accept a $56 million settlement – including an $8 million house – to end their bitter divorce battle and her bid for sole custody of their kid.

London's News of the World says that Mills will get Sir Paul's Georgian mansion in St. John's Wood but will agree to share custody of Beatrice, the couple's daughter, and will accept $6 million less than McCartney supposedly offered her back in January. Mills had supposedly demanded $6 million per year from McCartney.

ahem, this makes no sense. If I thought I had the upper hand, I would press for moremoney. The fact that she is taking less than originally offered tells me that she didn't think she had ALL the cards.

HEATHER IN-LAWS TV JOKE

By Ryan Parry 14/03/2007

HEATHER Mills made light of her marriage to Sir Paul McCartney yesterday, joking that she won't be meeting any more mothers-in-law.

In her first interview since her £29million divorce settlement with Sir Paul, Heather also hinted that the court battle has been "mega-stressful".

She revealed that rehearsals for Dancing With The Stars - starting next Monday on US TV - had been like "a holiday" for her.

Heather, 39, told ABC's Good Morning America: "I don't really get nervous - unless I'm going to meet a potential mother-in-law, so that's not gonna be happening."

The one-legged star insisted her disability would not be a barrier to dancing because she is "quite flexible".

She agreed to be interviewed only if not asked about her dispute with Sir Paul, 64.

McCartney's soon-to-be ex claims she's victim of vilification by press

Heather Mills will be partnered with Jonathan Roberts posing on "Dancing with the Stars." The new season begins March 19.

LONDON - Heather Mills says she is the victim of a campaign of vilification by the press as she divorces Paul McCartney.

"There is a huge agenda behind trying to destroy me and put me down," Mills told British Broadcasting Corp. television Thursday.

The 39-year-old activist has complained of being harassed and vilified by the media — and of receiving death threats — since she and McCartney, 64, separated last May after four years of marriage. The couple, who have a 3-year-old daughter, Beatrice, began divorce proceedings in July.

"I'm not a publicity seeker ... I haven't gone ‘round promoting things to finance my own pockets," Mills said during an interview to promote a campaign against the use of farrowing crates in pig farming.

"But there are huge powers, I don't have that powerful system that he has," she said. "There are huge powers that create these things for reasons of their own."

Nonetheless, she said: "I'll always love Paul."

"He's the father of my child and I'll always have strong feelings for him."

Mills began legal action against a number of media outlets after disparaging claims about the former Beatle — alleged to have been contained in divorce court papers drawn up on her behalf — were reported in the press.

She told the BBC she plans to campaign for a new law against press intrusion.

"I sue them, I generally win, I get a two-line apology," she said.

"My next campaign is going to go to the European Parliament to create a law of not misinforming the public and the size of the lie that they say should be the size of the apology."

Mills, who lost her leg below the knee in a 1993 motorcycle accident, will appear on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," which returns for a fourth season Monday. She plans to donate her appearance fee on the dance competition to an animal rights charity.

Also Thursday, police in Hove, southern England, said they were dealing with a "disproportionate" number of calls from Mills.

Chief Superintendent Kevin Moore of Brighton and Hove Police said the force had dealt with four emergency calls from Mills in a 24-hour period, but had found no grounds for further action.

"We are duty-bound to respond, but clearly people who make lots of calls to the police run the risk of being treated as the little boy who cried wolf," he said.

Heather Mills' midnight pig farm raid!

London, March 15 :

Former model Heather Mills exposed the misdeeds of Somerset farm, an industrial pig farm that allowed and indulged in animal cruelty and exploitation.

The animal rights activist, who led a team from the vegetarian group Viva! in a raid, revealed she entered the farm at the dead of night as part of a campaign to highlight alleged atrocities on animals.

Mills targeted the farm because it used farrowing crates, which are narrow pens used for adult female pigs when they are giving birth and suckling their piglets. These crates, which she calls 'cages' and 'prisons', are so narrow that the pigs cannot turn around.

Mills highlighted the 'cruel conditions' that the pigs are forced to live in. She expressed outrage at the use of the crates and the general conditions in which the pigs are reared.

Some 70 per cent of all pigs raised in the UK start their lives in farrowing crates. However the crates that she has attacked are legal and widely used all over the world.

The owner of the farm, Michael Underhill expressed that he was doing nothing wrong.

'Farrowing crates are widely used. They are there to protect the piglets from being trampled and coming to harm. They are a welfare measure,' Daily Mail quoted him as, saying.

Footage shows Mills covering herself and disinfecting her boots before entering sheds on the farm, where 3,500-4,000 pigs are reared at any time. The filming took place at Briarwood Farm, at Greinton, near Bridgwater.

The owner, who had no clue about Mill's plans until contacted by the Daily Mail, has threatened to take her to court for trespass, which would appear to be a civil offence.

'This is trespass, I intend to take legal action over this. We can't just have people coming on to the farm whenever they choose.' he said.

He also claimed that disease could be brought onto his property.

'There are risks of disease being carried into the buildings. We have had some sickness in the piglets recently, we don't know where it came from, but these people could have brought disease on to the farm. They don't know the harm they are causing,' he added.

Viva! director Juliet Gellatley, denied the allegation that their team carried disease onto the farm.

'None of the people involved had been on another pig farm for a very long time. They wore biosecure suits and new, disinfected boots,' she said.

However Mills, who asserted that she has done nothing illegal, also announced that she would be launching a campaign calling for the Government to ban the crates.

She will also voice against Marks & Spencer for accepting meat from farms which use the crates, with the campaign message being: 'This is not just torture - this is M&S torture.'

Marks & Spencer bosses, who are upset over the whole issue, have objected to Mill's agenda. 'M&S has leading animal welfare standards and has been recognised for these by both the RSPCA and Compassion in World Farming,' a M&S spokesman said.

'We are disappointed Viva! is taking this action as we met and told them before Christmas that we were phasing out the use of farrowing crates. All our fresh pork is already outdoor bred - which accounts for 30 per cent - and we have committed to moving to free range,' he added.

Meanwhile, Mills, apart from her animal welfare cause, is juggling between her divorce from Sir Paul McCartney and American reality dance competition, 'Dancing with the Stars'.

HEATHER'S ASTONISHING CLAIMS ON LOVE, LIFE AND MACCA SPLIT

By Fiona Cummins, Showbiz Reporter And Tom Parry Fiona.Cummins@Mirror.Co.Uk 16/03/2007

SHE was supposed to be highlighting cruelty to pigs - but yesterday ranting Heather Mills spouted a load of hogwash about her marriage split.

Heather, 39, toured TV and radio stations to tell millions of viewers and listeners how pigs suffer because of factory farming.

But in back-to-back interviews with Sky, BBC News 24, Five, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio One, GMTV and ITV News she bitterly complained about her own mistreatment over her divorce from Sir Paul McCartney.

During an interview with Sky's Sunrise show, anchorman Eamonn Holmes asked: "The whole divorce thing - when will that be finalised?"

Heather, who had been advised by lawyers to say nothing about the divorce, replied: "Do you know what? I've got no idea. It's like getting blood from a stone.

"It could be a year - I've got no idea. It's not down to me, it's all down to the hubby."

And in another interview she added: "It is just going on and on, it is not up to me, it is up to him.

"It's nothing to do with me. Why don't you ask him? I gave up my life and dedicated my life to him.

"I was earning hundreds of thousands of pounds before I met him and gave that up to be a mum and a campaigner."

Heather - who was officially appearing as spokeswoman for animal rights charity Viva! - also insisted she was not a publicity-seeker. She added: "Think about it. When do I ever go on TV, how many times in the last year? I'm not a publicity seeker. I'm chased day in, day out."

But she used her interview with Radio 5 Live to deny claims she had agreed a £29million deal with the 64-year-old ex-Beatle. She said: "Legally, I can't speak about that. But there is no settlement, full stop."

Then, in an interview with BBC News 24, she changed tack alarmingly - speaking of her love for Sir Paul.

Heather, who claims in leaked court papers that he stabbed her with a wine glass and shoved her while pregnant, added: "I will never get over it. I will always love Paul.

"He is the father of my child but I just have to move on and deal with it and there is nothing more I can do."

Her interviews took a bizarre turn as she hinted of a mysterious conspiracy against her. She said: "I have never spoken badly about my husband. I never will. But there are huge powers. I don't have that powerful system he has.

"There are huge powers that create these things for reasons of their own.

"There is a huge agenda about trying to destroy me and put me down."

The former topless model also compared herself to Sir Paul's late wife Linda and John Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono - saying obsessed Beatles fans had waged hate campaigns against all three of them.

She said: "We have had immense, amazing public support. We have a tiny percentage of Beatle nutters who did the same with Linda, did the same with Yoko, did the same with anybody."

Anti-fur activist Heather, who said she is still "very much in contact" with Macca, also brushed off the furore surrounding the Mirror's pictures earlier this week of her wearing a mink coat.

She told GMTV: "Paul McCartney, Linda McCartney - everyone has worn fur coats in the past. Paul once wore a fur coat and no one picks up on that. Linda did too."

Heather, who has a three-year-old daughter Beatrice by Paul, denied reports that she is moving to the US where she is starring in Dancing With The Stars.

She said: "I'd never live in America, I've never even thought of living in America. I'm here with my family and I live here."

During an interview with Five News, Heather rubbished claims that she has been warned about wasting police time for making repeated 999 calls after allegedly receiving death threats.

She insisted: "The police are totally behind me. I just called them five minutes ago and said did you say this? They said we never said that. I do not waste police time.

"If your family were having death threats and the police had informed you about them, then the police would be keeping an eye on what's going on."

But Chief Supt Kevin Moore, of Brighton and Hove police, seemed to contradict her yesterday. He said: "We are having to spend a disproportionate amount of time on one particular person.

"We are duty-bound to respond but clearly people who make lots of calls to the police run the risk of being treated as the little boy who cried wolf.

"Officers who have attended previously to find there have been no grounds might not take any claims seriously and that's the danger we face."

Heather's hectic day began at 8.40am as she was ushered into Sky News for her chat with Eamonn. By 9am she was on the sofa at GMTV. Then she dashed quickly across London and within half an hour she arrived at the BBC studios for News 24.

She needed only to take a quick stroll to her fourth interview of the day - a 9.50am chat on BBC Radio Five Live.

At 11.15am Heather took a break from broadcasting - for a bit of demonstrating at College Green, in the shadow of the Houses of Parliament. She joined protesters accusing Marks and Spencer of selling pork from pigs that are bred in "inhumane" farrowing crates.

By 11.35am she was back in front of the camera, going live on Five News.

There was more protesting at 12.30pm - this time at Marks and Spencer's flagship store in Oxford Street.

Heather, surrounded by dozens of TV crews and photographers, handed over a petition and gave leaflets to shoppers.

But it was soon back to the studio and by 2.30pm she was recording an interview for ITV News. At 4pm she recorded another interview, for the BBC's 6 O'clock News.

Finally, at 5.45pm, her last interview of the day with Radio One's Newsbeat. At 6pm she headed off for her home in Hove.

As Heather's publicity machine went into overdrive yesterday, Sir Paul opted for a quiet stroll.

He was spotted walking in the London sunshine with daughter Mary.

A leading psychologist said Heather's series of interviews showed she was trying to shake off her negative image.

Anjula Mutanda added: "Since her split from Paul, Heather has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons.

"She's very calculating. She's been seen as the money-grabber, a gold digger.

"She needs to be taken seriously, needs to be valued. And she craves approval from the public and the media."

Mills claims she'll always love McCartney despite bitter divorce battle

By ANI

London, Mar 16 (ANI):

Sir Paul McCartney's estranged wife Heather Mills may have opened up a Pandora's box for the legendary Beatle with her exorbitant alimony demands, but the social rights activist claims that she is still in love with him.

She said that she still loves Sir Paul McCartney despite being subjected to an 'agenda to destroy her'. The extraordinary admission came during an interview on BBC News 24 in which she spoke directly about her love for Sir Paul, and her fears of a Princess Diana-style smear campaign to discredit her.

"There are huge powers. I don't have that powerful system that he has.

There are huge powers that create these things for reasons of their own," she was quoted by the Daily Mail, as saying. "There is a huge agenda about trying to destroy me and put me down. I have a daughter to protect and I don't want to speak badly about any of the parties involved," she added.

The 39-year-old, who has a three-year-old daughter Beatrice with Sir Paul, said of their relationship: "I will never get over it, I will always love Paul. "He is the father of my child, but I just have to move on and deal with it and there is nothing more I can do.

I have never spoken badly about my husband... I never will."

Stop Calling

SHE'S still legally married to a Beatle, but Heather Mills better stop crying "Help!" British cops have warned the one-legged former model and soon-to-be ex of Paul McCartney about overusing the emergency phone number 999 - the equivalent of our 911 - to complain about harassment by paparazzi. Chief Superintendent Kevin Moore told reporters, "Clearly, people who make lots of calls to the police run the risk of being treated as the little boy who cried wolf." Mills' rep, Phil Hall, told us the police are not annoyed at her and she's just protecting herself from potentially dangerous situations.

Ugh, I hate this bitch so much I just want to throw some termites on her leg. I especially LOVE how she makes herself out to be the victim in everything when we all know she's conniving money-grubbing whore who got knocked up to swindle more money out of Paul.

I need only read headlines to fuel my hatred further: I need 10,000 pounds a day to survive? Grow the fuck up, tramp.
