Hathaway Joins Hudson in 'Bride Wars'

Anne Hathaway will star alongside Kate Hudson in New Regency's romantic comedy Bride Wars, which is being directed by Gary Winick (13 Going on 30). Hathaway and Hudson will play best friends who get into a rift when their planned wedding dates clash. Neither one will step aside, so the two pals compete over venues, services, and guests. Hudson is also producing with Julie Yorn and Alan Riche. Shooting will start early next year using a script written pre-strike by June Diane Raphael and Casey Wilson. Hathaway recently played Agent 99 in Warner Bros. Get Smart, which also starred Steve Carell.

The birth of KATE HUDSON and CHRIS ROBINSON's three-year-old son RYDER left the former couple convinced their marriage needed help. The pair sealed the end of their seven-year union with a divorce in October (07), and now Hudson has revealed her son Ryder's birth in January 2004 was the beginning of the end. She says, "We had Ryder, and we both sort of looked at each other and went, `Something's off.'" But Hudson insists she and The Black Crowes rocker are still close, adding, "(Divorce was) the most difficult thing I've ever done in my life. The process of discovering with somebody that you love that you don't… work is so painful. And thank goodness I did it with Chris… We helped each other through it. "Now we're both single and since the day we separated, we talk multiple times."

So while the rest of us tell our kids that they had nothing to do with the divorce, basically she's saying it was Ryder's birth that caused hers.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know ~ she didn't mean it that way and she probably only meant that the event itself brings out the other problems already present in the marriage but I doubt that a 3 year old will hear it that way when this gets repeated over and over and we all know it will.

LOL. Poor kid... his mommy blames him for the divorce, and he has bad hair to boot!

Kate's Kid Knows the Buck

SINGLE Hollywood mom Kate Hudson had some trouble coaxing her son, Ryder Robinson, 4, into praising her as a domestic goddess. In January's issue of Vogue, the “Fool's Gold" star is interviewed over dinner, where she asks her son, “What's my specialty? What does mommy make all the time?" She was trying to get Ryder to say “Tacos!" — but instead, her long-haired tot responded “Money!"

The actress, who insists that she and her ex-husband, Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, are still close friends, also has a “hang-out house" policy at her Hollywood home. She loves having people over, Vogue reports — “That way, [Ryder] is also less fazed if she has the occasional boyfriend, to whom she is careful not to show affection in front of her son until she is very sure of the relationship." Hudson, whose recent split with Owen Wilson was highly publicized, is launching a beauty line with hairdresser David Babaii. Another factoid: Kathy, her assistant, was her nanny when Hudson was a teen.

McConaughey Confesses to Hudson Crush

Matthew McConaughey would have made a move on co-star Kate Hudson if she wasn't married when the couple made "How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days."

The movie hunk was quizzed about his feelings for Hudson by the actress herself during a recent TV interview to promote the pair's new film, "Fool's Gold," and he confessed he had a crush on her while they were making the 2003 romantic comedy.

Hudson asked, "Do you think if I hadn't been married (to Chris Robinson) on 'How To Lose a Guy,' you'd have gone in for the kill?"

A visibly stunned McConaughey paused before confessing, "If we were both single back then, sure."

Hudson admits she and McConaughey often behave like a married couple when they're working together.

She adds, "We can tell each other when we can't stand each other. I can run and grab him and go, 'I love you so much' and then I could tell him he's driving me crazy."

(Not) Knocked Up!

Posted Image

It's just the wind, but I wouldn't doubt if Kate Hudson was knocked up. I don't even know who the hell she's dating, but that doesn't even matter anymore. She could have gotten contact pregnant from Matthew McConaughey's chick. Here's Kate at the premiere for "Foolio's Gold" last night. This movie looks awful, but I love the trailer for some reason. It makes me happy seeing jet-ski racing set to the Police's "Message in a Bottle."

And while we're on the subject of everyone in Hollyweird getting knocked up, here's a funny video from Funny or Die about the issue.

Hudson Playing Painter Margaret Keane

Kate Hudson will star in the indie feature ''Big Eyes'' as the 1950s artist who filed a lawsuit against her husband when he claimed credit for all her works

All AboutKate Hudson (FROM VARIETY) – Kate Hudson is starring in Big Eyes, an indie feature about painter Margaret Keane, whose paintings of big-eyed children became a mass market success in the 1950s. The story will focus on Keane's involvement in the feminist movement and how it led to a lawsuit against her husband, who claimed credit for all of her works. Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski will make their directorial debut on the movie, helming from their own script. Filming is scheduled to start in June. Hudson will be in theaters this weekend, starring opposite Matthew McConaughey in the Andy Tennant-directed Fool's Gold. She next stars in the Gary Winick-directed comedy Bride Wars. (Variety)

Bitten?

In Hollywood you're either in rehab, in the psych ward or knocked up. Those are your choices. Did Kate Hudson go with the latter? For the past week or so people have been telling me Kate is looking mighty pregnant. I haven't seen it until today. She could have had an extra beer with din din, but she's looking a little bumpy in the bump area. I don't even know who this chick is dating. Owen Wilson? She did make a movie with Matthew McConaughey and he's obviously the manliest of men. One bang on his bongo could do the trick.

Here she is channeling her mommy at the Elle Style Awards in London with Stella McCartney last night.

Hmmmm....that is quite a baby bump. Once in a while, I can see some bloating after a dinner or something, but it seems to be pretty constant. Wonder who that daddy might be?

I agree that she's had her nose done...I thought it was just weird airbrushing on the cover of the Feb Glamour, but now that I see other pictures, it's consistent. Weird. Nothing was wrong with her nose in the first place.

Hepatitis Alert At Hot Club

February 22, 2008 -- ASHTON Kutcher and Demi Moore should run out and get hepatitis-A shots ASAP. So should Madonna, Lucy Liu, Salma Hayek, Kate Hudson and Bruce Willis. On the heels of Kutcher's recent celebrity-packed 30th birthday at Socialista, the downtown hot spot released an announcement alerting revelers who were there on Feb. 7 (the night of Kutcher's party), or Feb. 8 or 11 to get tested and vaccinated for the disease. A Socialista bartender named Leif, who's now in the hospital, was diagnosed with a raging case of Hep A. We're told the Health Department yesterday visited the club that former Bungalow 8 doorman Armin Armiri opened last fall, but Armiri said, "We're not closed down, we're just concerned for our customers." And with good reason - symptoms of the virus include nausea, diarrhea, fatigue, fever, appetite loss and jaundice. That's way worse than a normal hangover.

Stars Show Off Their Domino Skills For the Art of Elysium

Last night, Hollywood took its obsession with playing dominos to a new level at a benefit tournament for the Art of Elysium at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Ashton and Demi partied away (despite the hepatitis scare) with the help of Rumer, who actually looked very glamorous out on the red carpet with her mom and stepdad. Kate Hudson was glowing in gold and, despite what the media (and many of you) think, wasn't showing any signs of a baby bump. New mom Salma made another night of it away from her precious Valentina, but she did offer congratulations to her friend J Lo, saying, "I'm sure she'll be a wonderful mom." It's probably only a matter of time before J Lo's twins are challenging Salma's little girl to their own games of dominos
