MELANIE C HITS OUT AS LESBIAN RUMOUR-MONGERS

Spice Girl Melanie 'Never a big fan of' Chisholm has hit out at the constant rumours of lesbianism that have (ahem) dogged her career. She can rightly point out that she has been dating the same man for five years (and surely marriage is just around the corner), young Thomas Starr, who is variously described as a 'property developer' and a 'semi-professional beard'.

The fact she was pictured playing in the sea with her female assistant didn't help, and neither did the huge set of muscles and the cropped hair. Melanie shared her ever so girly thoughts with Cosmopolitan magazine.

"At first that made me laugh because it wasn't something that ever crossed my mind," she roared, hoisting up her dungarees and tightening her tool belt, "And then it kind of pissed me off when I thought, 'Because I have short hair and am quite muscular with a few tattoos, am I the stereotypical lesbian?'"

Erm, yes, pretty much. Luckily, it's all worked out well for the spinster.

"I don't think it did me any harm. I've always had a huge lesbian and gay following."

It's always good to have a huge lesbian following, Mel. She can watch your back.

The Spice Girls have a new single out. It's called Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) and it's boring. I'm sure it will be successful in elevators around the world. Actually, what did it sound like again? I totally forgot about it. That boring.

Excuse me while I go listen to "Spice Up Your Life!" Now that's some good shit.

Spice Wars: Posh demands star billing as the bickering begins just weeks before their comeback tour

By ALISON BOSHOFF

Last updated at 20:57pm on 26th October 2007

This is is like patching a broken egg back together - a delicate operation which requires infinite reserves of patience, and loads and loads of glue.

But then it is not surprising the Spice Girls are struggling to operate as a band once again.

So much time has passed and they have all had periods of "really disliking" each other.

It is a matter of record that there were physical catfights when they were younger and more impulsive.

Over the past week, the Spice Girls have fulfilled their first professional duties as a reunited five-some - filming a video for their new single Headlines, making an advert for Tesco, and starting some dance rehearsals.

Last Friday was the first time they had all been in the same room since June's announcement that they were to re-form.

Unfortunately, only hours into this new venture, the wheels started to come off the Spice juggernaut.

Emma Bunton has been in tears - intimidated by everyone's egos and plain exhausted.

Her baby, Beau, is only ten weeks old.

Even though she has a night nanny - hired from posh London hospital the Portland - she is struggling slightly.

She has also been made deeply uncomfortable by the arguments which are already occurring.

Geri Halliwell - who abruptly left the band in 1998 - has annoyed everyone with her typically bonkers behaviour.

She constantly broke off from the video shoot to meditate (which is said to have held up the session considerably) and made a fuss about having the "right" brand of mineral water on set.

These examples of her contrary nature are making the others grind their teeth, particularly because she had already "ruined" their inaugural press conference by wearing a cream floaty dress when the agreement was they would all wear black.

Frien-emies: Mel B enlists the support of her band members before performing on Dancing with the Stars

"She is being very controlling, probably because the rehearsals are making her anxious," says my mole.

"It's not too bad yet. She is sort of behaving, but you can see it is bubbling away."

Needless to say, no one was impressed that the video shoot dragged on until 3am.

Victorial Beckham, meanwhile, is infuriating everyone by constantly nattering on her mobile phone.

She has, of course, nabbed the nicest clothes by a mile, dressing in a gorgeous full-length sequinned Dolce and Gabbana dress, complete with solid metal belt, for the video.

Geri makes do with a peach Versace number, in which she looks less sensational.

Round one, then, to Victoria, who - as expected - views this all very much as a competition.

Mrs Beckham has made sure all are well aware that she is the one who has become a superstar since the band split seven years ago.

She's accompanied at all times by an ostentatiously large coterie of assistants and personal bodyguards - some of whom bear fruit and champagne to refresh their high-maintenance charge.

Victoria's bodyguard has also been known to order people not to speak to her when she is "tired".

And Mel B, the group's most volatile member, has admitted to friends that she found her two days with the girls "complete hell" because of jet lag and the demands of appearing on Dancing With The Stars - the American version of Strictly Come Dancing - on the U.S. network ABC.

She has ended up rehearsing her routines for this week in the corridor in Pinewood between takes of the video.

No wonder she is relieved to return to LA, where she lives with her six-month-old baby, Angel, and new husband, Hollywood producer Stephen Belafonte.

Her burgeoning dance career, though, is a big problem.

A senior executive who is involved with the reunion said: "The biggest tension right now is Mel B doing Dancing With The Stars. If it carries on into rehearsal time, it could be very difficult.

"No-one really factored in her making it through to these latter stages of the show. She may well win the damn thing, and no one ever envisaged that."

Dancing With The Stars comes to an end in five weeks' time.

Since the Spice Girls are three weeks away from their first public performance, and five weeks from the start of the tour, it is a pressing problem indeed.

So it certainly doesn't bode well for manager Simon Fuller's plans for a massive, money-spinning, three-month tour that tensions are already running high.

A source in the Fuller camp indicates that, since the disastrous video shoot at Pinewood last Friday - where the mood turned so sour that, at one point, the director threatened to quit - Fuller has now telephoned each of the girls to remind them to "play nicely" and also to point out that they only have to rein themselves in for a few weeks.

So what is the inside track on the fear and loathing now gripping the Spice Girls - who, you may remember, sang: "Friendship never ends"?

It has to be said that theirs was an odd kind of raucous, spontaneous, hennight feminism, which never really stood up to scrutiny.

They were gobby and ambitious, rather than driven by a deep conviction.

"We felt invincible," Mel B once said, and that was pretty much what Girl Power added up to.

One should not be surprised that it has disintegrated into playground politics in these tricky circumstances.

It was not that long ago that Mel C offered the opinion in an interview that Geri's music was "hollow" and her former bandmate was not talented.

So much for the sisterhood.

It should also be remembered that the Spice Girls were a pre-fabricated group, brought together by answering an advertisement in The Stage, not by close friendships.

They were not built to last, and were certainly never constructed with one eye on posterity.

Money has brought them back together, then, and their PRs were this week pointing out that it will take more than a bit of grumpiness and getting on each other's nerves to derail the reunion.

The sell-out tour is set to gross £23 million.

Factor in the lucrative merchandising, which may be worth as much again.

Add in the side deals, like a Tesco ad campaign worth around £5 million. Then the album sales.

In all, the Spice revival could gross well over £100 million.

Each girl stands to make around £10 million, possibly more, and there will surely be plenty of times in the coming weeks when they will need to summon that figure to the forefront of their minds.

It's actually nearly as much as they made from the whole flowering of the Spice Girls phenomenon.

Back then, the band were on far less advantageous deals with their record company, management and tour promoters.

There is a suggestion in music circles that Fuller used to be on a cut that was more than 50 per cent.

Now he's in for a sixth, which is considerably more egalitarian.

Emma Bunton has candidly admitted that she made "far less" than the supposed £28 million they each earned the first time round and also confessed she had to return to a solo career because she needed the work.

Perhaps it's no big surprise, then, that she was the second to sign up for the reunion, Victoria being the first under Fuller's influence (he has managed both her and David Beckham for some years now).

Mel C came on board only when she was told that the others were to go ahead - with or without her.

"They basically said if I didn't want to do it, then they were going to do it anyway - I didn't want to be the person who stopped it being the complete five. I was scared I'd be the villain," she said this week.

A source at 19 management, set up by Fuller, seeks to play this reluctance down.

"Look, it's not like The Eagles, who detest each other and have managed to tour, or Pink Floyd, who got back for Live Earth but still totally loathe each other.

"They don't hate each other, but they have just managed to do very well without each other. There's a bit of grumpiness in a back-to-school sort of way," said the 19 source.

Not everyone is convinced that their problems are so minor, however.

A source close to the tour says there is a massive disparity when it comes to the mechanic of song and dance itself.

"They are required to do a lot of harmonies and it is obvious that Emma Bunton and Mel C are the only ones who can manage it. They are the only ones who can carry a tune," the source told me.

"It's actually quite embarrassing for everyone else. There is anxiety about how it will be managed, especially as the routines are vigorous, and there will have to be a backing track. Only Mel C is fully fit enough to carry off a tour and sing."

Victoria is said to have stipulated that she will not sing solo at any point.

Further tensions have been exposed while the girls have been learning a pole dancing routine for the show.

"Victoria is having problems with the routine in that she is determined to look sexy, but she's not a terribly good dancer.

"It has been resolved that she will just go up and down the pole.

Emma Bunton and Mel B are also struggling. They are uncomfortable with a move where they go upside down - they can't yet manage it. So there's a long way to go still."

There are well-rehearsed anxieties about body shapes in play, too.

Mel C, Geri and Victoria all emerged from the band the first time around with serious eating problems.

Geri, in particular, has embarked on a ferocious diet and exercise regime.

She's said she would like to wear a version of that famous Union Flag dress - now in a size six rather than a curvy 12 - thanks to ceaseless exercise for nearly a year with a personal trainer to be in "optimum" shape.

Mel B has lost nearly three stone since the spring, and is often seeing yomping through the canyons around Los Angeles with her personal trainer, Joey Kormier - who also looks after the waistlines of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. She is fitter than she has ever been.

Emma Bunton has also quickly shed all of her "baby weight" thanks to a bizarre no-whites diet which forbids white pasta, white rice, white bread, yoghurt, milk and so on. This was, apparently, recommended by a dietician at the Portland Hospital.

Even Victoria - who is a complete stranger to exercise, preferring instead to control her food intake - has enrolled at a swanky gym in Los Angeles called The Sports Club, but she has yet to do more than meet her personal trainer.

It's hardly worth labouring the point that she is extremely thin.

Her diet is reportedly restricted to steamed cod, edamame beans and strawberries.

It is no wonder that Mel C - who suffered from depression when she last shook off her eating disorder - is trying very hard to ignore this unhealthy atmosphere.

The truth is that their appearances are a potentially explosive area of conflict.

One suggestion from Victoria, who is in charge of the costumes and has hired designer Roberto Cavalli at immense cost, is that they should emerge on stage in their old costumes, and rip them off to reveal the new ones.

"Victoria has been very focused on the clothes and has been integral in organising that side of things," said Mel C.

So what will happen when the tour starts on December 2?

The 19 management source says: "I think it makes a really huge difference that they realise this is not for keeps. They all know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, which is getting paid a huge amount of money and walking away.

Could they get back together permanently? No, it would be horrible. It's simply inconceivable.

"What I would say is that the girls are going to start off fine, but how it will end is anyone's guess.

"There is a big potential area of conflict when you look at all the girls' hangers-on - the family and boyfriends. They could well fuel the embers of any old grudges.

"Simon Fuller really fears a Chinese whispers situation between the whole cast - he knows how it can come completely unhinged when that starts up."

Each girl will travel with her own entourage - Victoria will have David with her most of the time as the soccer season is over in America.

They each have their own hair, make-up and wardrobe assistants, plus friends and family.

A 757 jet has been chartered and dubbed Spice Force One.

They will be presented as the symbols of a bygone age of optimism and prosperity, a cheeky cultural institution, as quintessentially British as the Carry On Films, a band of whom we should be proud.

But should we, really? Even Louis Walsh, the X Factor judge not noted for his vicious tongue, could not help but describe them as "over-rated, talentless and well past their sell-by date".

It's enough to make you wonder if this finely choreographed "final bow" will end up entertainingly undignified after all.

Wannabe Author

Once upon a time about a year ago, a publishing editor received a call on behalf of Geri Halliwell, the most beautiful Spice Girl in the whole world, announcing that she had written a children's book and would consider allowing the world the pleasure of reading it. As is normal, the editor asked for a synopsis and a chapter or two to be e-mailed over.

"Oh, no!" cried Geri's people, revealing that the Spice Girl was so excited by the work that she couldn't sleep, and just this once could the publishers come to her house for a discussion?

Reluctantly the editor agreed and arrived at the mansion, where Geri was seated, surrounded by eager staff. When he asked to read the first chapter, Geri insisted on sitting him down and reading the book to him.

And she read it EXTREMELY badly, acting out each character in an increasingly ridiculous voice, whilst her little hamster face shone with pride at this world she had created. And as the editor later said:

"I just felt really sorry for her. There was something really tragic about the whole situation. She was just quite... mental," he explained sadly.

Unfortunately, after a great deal of soul searching and deliberation, the editor and his company decided against publishing Geri's book for children. And as a result everyone lived happily ever after and children slept soundly in their beds without disturbing dreams brought on by a mentalist author.

The Spice Girls Need A New Stylist

Posted Image Posted Image

Did Britney Spears have a garage sale or something? Girlfriend must be hurting for cash. Baby and Ginger Spice both wore dresses to last night's Victoria's Secret show that Britney wore 3 years ago. Embarrassing! Someone better be fired for this. Posh will not stand for it!

She's probably cancelling the tour as we speak. She won't ever be caught dead posing next to a 3-year-old garment again!

Tom & Katie Surprise Spice Girls at Rehearsal

MONDAY NOVEMBER 26, 2007 12:40 PM EST

By Tim Nudd

The Spice Girls' upcoming reunion tour may provoke a good deal of nostalgia, but the group has already won over at least one brand-new fan: Suri Cruise.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes surprised the group with an impromptu visit to rehearsals in Los Angeles recently, and daughter Suri danced along to the music, according to the Spice Girls' official Web site.

Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, explained that she and husband David "are great friends with Tom and Katie. It was lovely of them to come down to rehearsals, a really nice surprise."

And it turns out Suri wasn't the only one digging the visit.

"Katie has told me before that she used to be a big Spice fan so it was great for her to meet the other girls," Beckham said.

The group recently performed together at the taping of the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show – their first time onstage together in a decade.

The Return Of The Spice Girls tour kicks off in Vancouver this Sunday.

Strife Girls disunited: Behind the scenes of pop's most fractious comeback

By ALISON BOSHOFF

Last updated at 13:08pm on 30th November 2007

Just before the Spice Girls officially announced their comeback, manager Simon Fuller presented each of them with a £2,500 Roulette diamond necklace from Boodles - a gold circle, to symbolise the re-making of the group into a new and perfect whole.

They put on their necklaces at the Press conference, but quite where they have got to now, it is hard to say, as they haven't been seen since.

It is ominously appropriate that each of the 'girls' has managed to misplace these symbols of harmony, for the optimism of summer has given way to the irritating grind of rehearsals, with argument after argument - including a couple of humdingers between Mel C, Geri and Victoria.

Each of them has their own preoccupations: Mel C, for instance, is struggling hard to simply tolerate Geri and her many lunacies - particularly her views on 'healthy' eating and her obsession with showing off her body.

Victoria fears she may be in the early stages of pregnancy - something which she is keeping from Fuller, who told them all not to dream of disrupting the tour in this way.

She is also suffering daily agonies because she is dancing in high heels, and her bunions are "dreadful". And she frets that she looks the oldest of the group, paying the price for her erratic eating habits with poor skin and thinning hair.

Emma Bunton, meanwhile, is quietly horrified by her tarty, ruffled and sparkly Roberto Cavalli stage outfits - these have been overseen personally by Victoria - and she is relying upon Spanx support pants to pull her into shape.

All of them have been dismayed by the fact that their first single, Headlines, has been a flop.

Despite the hype, it limped into the charts last weekend at No 20 having sold a shade under 5,000 copies.

It's the worst performance ever by a Comic Relief single and a serious disappointment to the group, who were always popular, even if they weren't musically credible.

Now it seems they are neither.

George Ergatoudis, the head of music at Radio 1, said that Headlines was "very disappointing" as a song and added: "It simply isn't strong enough."

How embarrassing for them.

Fuller and his team at 19 Management, who had been sure of a top five hit - at the height of their fame the Spice Girls sold 55 million albums and had ten No. 1 singles - have been left wondering if they have completely miscalculated the public appetite for this revival.

The tour will still make money, as dates in America and the UK - where the band appears in December and January - are mostly sold out, with extra gigs being added in London.

The proposed Far East leg of the tour has been postponed, though, so there is no telling when the final gig may be. Some in the music industry believe that they may simply call it a day in mid-February after their dates in Chicago.

And because of the scale of the operation, with each girl travelling with a large entourage of family, security and other support staff ( beauticians, dieticians, masseurs etc), it is an expensive operation to mount, which again eats into the amount of money which they can expect to take home - and Victoria excepted, they are all doing this for the money.

They are expected to make £7 to £10 million each, but to maximise profits they need to sell bucketloads of Greatest Hits albums.

Last week, the first of its release, their Greatest Hits sold 1.4 million copies worldwide, of which 75,000 were in the UK. X Factor's Leona Lewis trounced this by selling 375,000 copies of her album in Britain that week.

A further worry for those involved in the reunion is that things are so bad in the Spice Camp that there are worries the tour might disintegrate before they have completed all the dates.

Relations between the girls range from "tricky" to "terrible", and there are genuine fears over whether the ladies will be able to cope with the physical demands of the gigs, too. A tour insider said: "It's obvious from what is going on in rehearsals in Los Angeles that there are a lot of problems.

"They have been doing their dancing and singing routines.

"They are having to change things all the time because the girls are frankly not up to it.

"There are worries about the stamina - apart from Mel B who although she is now 32, is phenomenal and seems to never get winded."

Having just come second in Dancing With The Stars, the U.S. equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing, Mel B is in peak shape.

"Victoria, however, is causing a lot of worry because she just is so thin and does not seem to have the energy. She has to stop for water a lot.

"What they have done is rely on choreography to hide their lack of fitness, so they are doing lots of waving arms and have some amazing backing dancers, but they don't actually run around much themselves. The on-stage energy is coming from other people.

"The vocals have been changing a lot during rehearsals and it looks as if the tweaking will continue even into the tour. As far as the music goes it is a very unequal relationship which is why it's proving so complicated to sort out.

"Mel C is by far the most vocally talented and has got better since leaving the Spice Girls.

"She is getting very frustrated as she is finding that she has to go over and over stuff and is constantly waiting for everyone else. She is singing the melody mostly with Mel B.

"Emma is doing well and trying hard but Victoria has a very airy soprano voice which does not fit in.

"She has one solo at the moment, but will be well covered by the backing singers. Mostly she and Emma are just doing close harmonies."

As you might expect, there are plenty of personal issues coming into play. Before their reunion for the tour, the band had barely spent any time together since Geri's departure from the group in 1998, and some of them - particularly Mel C - didn't want this reunion in the first place.

Mel C, now 33, still blames Geri, 35, for helping her develop an eating disorder, and only joined when Geri told her it would go ahead with or without her.

She is furious that the band were miming when they appeared at their Victoria's Secret gig in the U.S. earlier this month.

A spokesman for the band admitted the miming but has said the girls will sing live on the tour, though Mel C is in despair that she is throwing away the credibility which she fought so hard to gain as a solo artist.

One of the biggest clashes, unsurprisingly, is between MelC and Geri.

"Mel C and Geri are very, very different people and the biggest rows have been between them," says the insider.

"Mel C is completely annoyed by what she calls 'the babies everywhere', which as you can imagine does not go down well with Geri.

"Geri, whose daughter is now 19 months old, spends all her time babbling on about how wonderful Bluebell is and what a wonderful mother she is, and it gets on everyone's nerves.

"It's like she's the only person to be a mother in the history of the world. And it's all ridiculous new age stuff.

"Mel says it's not because she doesn't have one of her own, she just thinks that the tour is the wrong place for children, and she thinks that having the creche where they are rehearsing has been a bad idea.

"The other thing about Geri of course is that she never shuts up. She has an opinion about everything which she always wants to share. It's causing open arguments; as you can imagine, Mel C is not in the mood to take her opinions about the creative side, given that she's the only one who has had a decent career."

There has also been a certain amount of tactlessness: Geri has told Mel C that she will make a great mother "one day", Victoria, 33, has told Geri that "one day" she will find a decent man - in each case this has been taken as a veiled slight.

Emma, 31, who had a baby boy in August, was apparently frustrated enough to have a go at Geri last week, telling her to "shut up and spend more time with your own kid rather than interfering with mine".

Some of the tour staff have complained that Geri is "stroppy, rude and moody".

There was quite an atmosphere backstage at the Victoria's Secret gig, with Geri telling case.

They were "catty and argumentative" during pre-show preparations and ended up cursing and swearing as the moment of curtain-up came closer.

"Victoria has been annoying everyone by hanging on her mobile all the time," the source said.

"Quite often it is David, which you understand, but the other day she held everyone up and said: 'I had to take that call, it was Donatella.' Everyone was furious."

Clearly Victoria's connections with Versace are still very important to her.

An insider said: "Victoria has the biggest insecurities.

"She is worried about her skin, which is very bad again, and her hair, which is falling out.

"She is thinking of having some short extensions put in to add volume, as the condition is so bad after all of the dyeing this year.

"And she feels that she has aged. When she saw the pictures from the press conference this summer she was upset because she thought she looked the oldest out of all of them.

"She has been struggling with the workload.

"They have had a buffet laid on every day and Victoria has surprised everyone by eating pulses and brown rice. She even had some brown bread. Mostly she has lots of salads and strawberries and edamame beans, that is her usual diet, but she has been advised to keep her energy up with some carbs.

"People are concerned about her. She is not very fit and doesn't have much energy.

"Some people wonder if she is going to last the tour."

By contrast, Geri seems to have not a moment of self-doubt and is almost fanatically committed to the renewal of the Spice Girls brand.

"Geri is happy to bare her flesh, she is working out all the time and is proud of her six-pack.

"She has suggested coming out in a swimsuit, she wanted to go on stage and show off her body. I think everyone else felt sick at the thought, because it was such a competitive thing to say."

The source added: "No one else wants to get almost naked.

"Emma is not happy with her outfits, because they are a bit revealing and so she's out of her comfort zone.

"She wanted Alice Temperley, something beaded and pretty, but was told no. She is wearing control pants under all her outfits and has asked for corsets where she can have them.

"She is really insecure about her hips which are bigger than they used to be. It has left her feeling self-conscious."

None of this, of course, is for public consumption, and each girl will paint on her brightest smile come Sunday.

As Geri wrote in her blog: "It's the biggest laugh ever, it's like hanging around with your best buddies."

One wonders when the first cracks will start to show.

Chickenpox Strikes Spice Babies!

Geri Halliwell is being forced to leave her 18-month-old daughter Bluebell at home while she and the other Spice Girls prepare to kick off their world tour in Vancouver on Sunday.

"Bluebell caught chickenpox from Cruz," Halliwell ("Ginger" Spice), 35, revealed Friday morning on the British TV show GMTV. "She's now completely pelted now so I left her at home. Normally they're running around the set."

As Halliwell suggests on the official Spice Girls' blog, the outbreak was inevitable.

Daughter Bluebell, she says, "loves hanging with the Beckham boys. Cruz and Bluebell have play dates, and Romeo – well, he is just gorgeous with her. Actually, it was a beautiful moment when we were rehearsing the other day and all of our kids were playing on the stage at the same time. It made me smile."

Between them, the girls have seven children: Victoria Beckham, 33, has three sons, Brooklyn, 8, Romeo, 5, and Cruz; Emma Bunton, 31, has one son Beau, born in August; Mel Brown, 32, has two children, Phoenix Chi, 8, and Angel, born in April, while Halliwell has little Bluebell. Melanie Chisholm, 33, so far is kid-less.

A Fan of Fainting

As for expectations of their tour, Victoria Beckham would like to hear sirens.

In a video posted Wednesday on the VBTV portion of her her blog, Beckham ("Posh" Spice) recounts a recent trip to Japan.

"There were lots of lovely little Japanese people there to greet me," she says. "There were tears, which I always like. I think that shows you are a true fan, when you cry – or when you pass out."

Yes, medical emergencies are a plus. "When the paramedics are called, it's always a good sign," she deadpans. "That shows real determination as a fan."

As for how things are faring on the domestic front, Beckham also told Britain's GMTV on Friday, "My husband [David Beckham]'s been away for a month. I go home, and I have three kids to look after. I was up at 5 o'clock this morning sorting everything out so then I'm ready for when I've got to take the kids to school."

Pitt cleavage! Maybe Posh's new implants are falling out the sides, trying to make their escape. They aren't as devoted as the old ones.

Posh and the other Spice Memaws began their London concerts last night. 1 down, 16 more to go! Baby's sprained ankle seems to have healed. Christmas miracle!

The reviews were mixed. Some said Posh was the star of the show and others said their singing sucked. What the hell do you expect? It's the Spice Memaws not Placido Domingo.

From Popbitch:

VIP fans go to Heathrow

Last week we told you that excited Spice Girls

fans were told to meet at the Chablis Suite,

Novotel Hammersmith for a VIP event at a

secret location. Well, it turns out the secret

location was Heathrow and the event was to

welcome the girls back to the UK. The fans

were bussed to the airport, stood around

while the girls thanked Virgin Atlantic

etc, and then got taken back to London.

One family had cut shut a holiday in Spain so

their daughter could meet her idols. Bet they

were pleased they'd done that.

After seeing the Spice Girls comeback concert,

Popbitch would like to apologise to Mel C for

all the mean things we wrote about her back

in the day. Until we experienced this beyond-

hopeless live event, we had no idea how much Sporty,

the only one with a voice, dance moves, energy

or stage presence, carried the rest of the band.

David Beckham has bought wife Victoria a 750 pound (NZ$1,981) book for Christmas.

The Los Angeles Galaxy soccer star has secretly splashed out on a limited edition tome, signed by one of Victoria's favourite fashion designers Valentino.

A source said: "It will make for some good toilet reading for Victoria. Most people might get a gardening book in their stocking - but Posh gets this."

Just 2,000 copies of the book, Valentino Garavani: First Name in Fashion, were published.

Each tome comes in a red silk Valentino clamshell box and features pictures from the legendary designer's career, along with comments from some of the top fashion writers in the world.

The Beckhams regularly splash out on expensive gifts for each other.

Earlier this month, David treated Victoria and her four Spice Girls bandmates to gold bracelets to celebrate their reunion world tour.

In April, the former England captain took Victoria to Paris, spending 25,000 pounds ($66,000) on a private jet and arranging private fittings with her favourite dress and shoe designers for her 33rd birthday.

Victoria organised an equally extravagant birthday surprise for her husband's birthday in May.

She spent 16,000 pounds ($42,000) on a private jet to fly him from Madrid to London for a 20,000 pound ($52,000) shopping spree and dinner at Mayfair's exclusive Cipriani restaurant

The Spice Kids

Posted Image

The Spice Girls brought all their kids up onstage last night in London during their song "Mama." Posh made all her boys wear "Posh" shirts. The only kid missing was Geri's little Bluebell Madonna. Blueballs is already a diva. She's not about to share the stage.

All kids wore earplugs, because they couldn't risk Posh's mic accidentally being turned on during the song.

They should do the audience a favor and hand out earplugs at the entrance just in case.

David Beckham has bought wife Victoria a 750 pound (NZ$1,981) book for Christmas.

Victoria Beckham has her name on the cover of one autobiography while her husband has brought out two. But the former Spice Girl claims she has never actually read a book. She told a Spanish journalist that she prefers magazines and music. "I haven't read a book in my life," she said. "I haven't got enough time. I prefer to listen to music, although I do love fashion magazines."

Rumor is she's recovering from chicken pox.

I saw the photo yesterday with all the kids wearing ear protection and thought back to the photos of Suri Cruise at the Spice Girls concert without ear protection.....I'm surprised Posh couldn't lend some to her "best buddies".....

They Still Should've Lip-Synched

The Spice Girls performed on the finale of the U.K.'s "Strictly Come Dancing" and I must say it didn't tear out my ear drums completely. They sang "2 Become 1" and they sang it live. Surprisingly enough, Posh's singing didn't have me running for the ear bleach. Bitch can't sing by no means and she should really just stand there and look pretty. She sort of sounds she's singing through the ass of a cow.

Spice Girls’ Bulimia Confession

Posted Image

Two members of the Spice Girls have revealed that they suffered from bulimia during the height of the group’s success.

In a new TV documentary about the girl band’s recent reunion, Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell and Melanie “Sporty Spice” Chisholm discuss the effect that their eating disorders had on themselves as well as their bandmates.

"My biggest, biggest fear, and it made me feel nauseous just thinking about it, was that the papers were going to say I'd put on weight,” Mel C. says in the television special. "All through the Spice Girls I was terribly in control of what I was eating. I wasn't eating properly and I was over exercising. I was very skinny. I found having an eating disorder really embarrassing."

The rest of the group — including members Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton, Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown and Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham — sensed that something was wrong, but they were unaware of the extent of the problem.

"I feel ashamed of myself that I didn't give Melanie C. more time,” Posh (who's battled rumors of an eating disorder in the past) admits now. “I didn't realize she had the issues that she had."

Mel B. says that she didn’t feel comfortable raising the issue with her friends. "Even though we were that close, there were certain things you just don't talk about unless you feel there's a window in there."

Posh's Ban List

Posted Image

Posh Beckham has reportedly put together a "ban list" of celebrities that are not allowed to see the Spice Girls in concert. The list consists of people she sees as enemies. The list apparently includes Jordan, Peter Andre, Graham Norton, Lily Allen, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Denise Van Outen. These are people that have upset Posh in the past.

A source said, "Victoria has taken some stick over the years from certain celebrities. She doesn't want to be doing her stuff on stage, and then see famous faces in the audience taking the piss. So, quite understandably, Victoria has banned a number of well-known names from the show."

If she's going to ban people that have made fun of her in the past that list needs to be a lot longer. It would probably include family members as well. Bitch is easy to make fun of.

Above is Posh back in the day trying to make cholita chic happen. Why did she ever change? She was so hot.

MELANIE C HITS OUT AS LESBIAN RUMOUR-MONGERS

http://www.holymoly.co.uk/news/28/melanie-...ngers-1702.html

Everyone knows she is a lesbian.

Geri: 'We won't make profit from tour'

Geri Halliwell has claimed that it is unlikely that the Spice Girls will make a profit from their reunion tour.

The singer said that, despite reports that the girls were getting paid millions of pounds to perform, they will be lucky if they break even because of the costs of putting on the shows.

She is quoted as saying: "The truth of the matter is, to put on this tour has cost $37 million (£18.6 million). We have done this purely to celebrate our fans, the music and ourselves.

"This is not a money-making expedition. It really isn't. Hopefully we will break even but it's never been about that.

"If we take home a pay cheque that's fantastic, but this is about party and celebration."

Ginger Is Full Of Caca

Geri Halliwell claims she won't make a dime off the Spice Girls reunion. It was reported that each Spice chick would make millions on the deal, but Geri says it isn't so.

Ginge, don't piss on my head and say it's raining. I'm so sure. They did it for their art? Posh does not work for free!!!! Those fugly frocks she wears don't come cheap.

Yes that's an old picture of Ginger. Gorgeous!

Posh Turns Down The Volume

Posted Image

The Spice Girls attended Roberto Cavalli's show in Milan yesterday and Posh was looking so subdued. Bitch must have let that little "worst-dressed" title get to her. Either that or she's recovering from some surgery. She seriously looks like a Palm Beach socialite on recovery. Facelift! Scary Spice looks just that....Scary! At first I thought Venus Williams got herself a new weave.

Lazies!!!

Posted Image

The Spice Girls announced that are cutting their world tour short, because of "family commitments" and touring logistics. They have already performed in Europe, UK, Canada and the US. They were supposed to go on until June playing dates in South Africa, Australia, China and Argentina, but will end their shit in Toronto on February 26th instead. Their management denies they are ending due to poor ticket sales.

The Daily Mirror reports that they aren't ending the tour, because of the reasons they gave. They are ending it, because they hate each other again. Scary and Sporty apparently are completely over it. Scary wants to get back to her family and Sporty is afraid it will jeopardize her solo career.

Menopause is a bitch. Listen, these hos made a commitment and they should see it out. Quitting a commitment is not "girl power." That is "girl laziness." Pop the hormones, put on those hideous outfits, show the camel toe and get the hell out and lip-synch like there's no tomorrow.

The Music Quit Her

Posted Image

The News of the World (yes, it's that time) claims Posh is the reason for the Spice Girls tour ending early. Apparently, Posh is over it and has vowed to never lip-synch with Baby, Sporty, Scary and Ginger again. We should be so lucky.

She reportedly said, "I was very nervous about going back into the Spice Girls because I didn't want to send out a confused message. The reason I decided to do the tour was to show my kids that mummy was a pop star once. I've been thinking about this for a long time. I'm not in the music industry any more. I'm in the fashion industry."

She said she is over the music industry and will focus on fashion. Yeah, right. The music industry kicked her ass out. She's one of those "I broke up with you" types.

Posh's fashion line which includes jeans and sunglasses will reportedly make $30 million this year. Idiots will buy anything.
