Lindsay Lohan still broke and a mess

Recommended Posts

The belly button thing is funny, especially since you can't see it at all in the pict above b/c it's so low! Sometimes I wonder if they do funky photoshop jobs on purpose to certain celebs. Saw her on Double Exposure high out of her mind and was surprised that between the constant laughing she actually was a really good model. She knew exactly what to do in front of the camera with out much coaching.

So Shapiro says he'll represent her as long as she serves her time? Very funny! Great publicity ploy, Robert. NEXT!

Oh man, it just occurred to me. He's got something up his sleeve. He must be negotiating with the sheriff's to either get her out immediately or get special treatment. Otherwise, she would NOT be in bed with him.

He's a fame whore. He took the case for the PR. I don't think there is a chance in hell she'll get special treatment with the entire country watching...

Shawn Chapman Holley Back With Lindsay

7/20/2010 6:19 AM PDT by TMZ Staff

TMZ has learned ... Shawn Chapman Holley is going to be by Lindsay Lohan's side in court this morning, representing her after Robert Shapiro bailed on LiLo.

TMZ broke the story ... Holley quit earlier this month, because Lindsay was an uncontrollable client.

But now Lindsay is in a pinch, and Holley is stepping up.

Sources tell us Lindsay is furious at Shapiro, feeling as if he totally used her to get publicity for his sober living house. She believes that is the only reason he agreed to rep her and sold her a bill of goods.

We've learned Holley is supposed to be in court in the Juan-Carlos Cruz attempted murder case at the same time Lindsay's case is heard. We're told Holley is going to have the Cruz case delayed so she can be with Lindsay.

As for Lindsay, we're told she's terrified but on board with the plan today.

UPDATE: Holley just showed up at Lindsay's apartment.

I thought the judge had told Holley she HAD to represent Lohan, that this wasn't an appropriate (or allowable) time to leave the case?

I'm assuming that the Juan-Carlos Cruz case is a local one, but why bother delaying it on Linday's account? I don't see Lindsay's sentencing lasting more than 10 minutes, tops. Plenty of time for Holley to get back to work on that case.

As for Shapiro using Lindsay to sell his sober house? Well, duh! Stevie Wonder could have seen that one from a mile away.

Lindsay Surrenders -- Time for Jail

6 minutes ago by TMZ Staff

Lindsay Lohan just surrendered in Judge Marsha Revel's courtroom in Bev Hils, to begin her jail sentence.

A clearly-upset LiLo sat and listened as Judge Revel ordered Lindsay's surrender. But before Lindsay was cuffed and taken away, the judge ordered all cameras to stop rolling.

Judge Revel made it clear -- no house arrest, and no early release. But that doesn't mean Lindsay will have to serve the full 90 days. The Sheriff's Department will use the 90 days to compute the actual time Lindsay will have to serve, and because of overcrowding, she will only serve 25% ... 23 days.

Lindsay didn't cry. When she was cuffed she was stoic.

It looks like I was slightly off in my earlier prediction that the booking would last 10 minutes tops.

There is too much attention, she'll do the 25% of her sentence. That's my bet. Maybe we should make a poll :D

I thought Shawn Chapman Holley worked for an entertainment firm, not a criminal one. I wonder why she'd be involved in a murder case?

Oh, wait, I just googled the guy. He's the Food Network guy. I guess that explains it.

Jail could be start of Lohan's comeback story

Time behind bars likely the wake-up call troubled actress needs

Courtney Hazlett

The Scoop

TODAYshow.com

Nearly three years after her initial DUI arrest, Lindsay Lohan is on her way to jail.

Legal experts will have their own opinions about whether her sentence was overly harsh, and certainly Lohan thinks it was. However, I’m a card-carrying member of the party that believes this is likely the wake-up call that she needs.

Lohan has been caught with drugs, arrested for multiple DUIs, been a no-show in court — and that’s just the bad behavior that’s been documented. Lohan, both professionally and personally, has snubbed her nose at the systems put in place to protect her.

To be clear: this exercise of passing go, making excuses, showing abject disrespect for those trying to help her and then going to jail should not be filed under the category of “this is what happens when child stars go bad.” That would be too convenient a label to slap on the situation. Instead, Lohan at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., is a culmination of a perfect storm of failures, a storm in which the actress took up residence at its epicenter.

She was failed by film producers who largely allowed her to be unprofessional; it was easier to look the other way when she was late or absent or demanding rather than put up with her tantrums when the rules were enforced. (The notable exception here is Morgan Creek Productions, which reprimanded Lohan for being late repeatedly on the set of “Georgia Rule.” Coincidentally, this was her last critically acclaimed film).

She was failed by her parents, who were at best, attention-hungry themselves (look no further than the behavior of her estranged father Michael, who shouted “I love you, Lindsay” in the courtroom Tuesday as she was being remanded into custody). At worst, they were enablers, as was the case with her mother Dina, who was often her escort at New York nightclubs when Lohan was still a teen, partying alongside her daughter, and has yet to say that her daughter might need more help than she can offer.

Can Lohan come back from this? Yes, she can. Hollywood is forgiving — as long as you make some money — and so is America. We love a comeback story. Hopefully, walking into jail begins the first chapter for Lohan.

Personally, I hope she does make a comeback after cleaning her act up. The girl had talent and was gorgeous once upon a time. Everyone would like to see her come out of this successfully...wouldn't they?

Weeeeeeeeeell...lol...kidding. ;)

Yeah...I guess I would. What makes it tough for me is that it she seems like she has no regrets about anything. I feel more sympathetic to people who real give a crap and want to improve...she doesn't seem like that at all. She's spoiled, acts like she has no regard or care about anything...and she's been in complete denial about ever having any problem with substance abuse or anything. After she's done with all this...will she continue or actually learn something?

Maybe after this, she will.

I'm with BobbyD on this one. I don't think a couple weeks in jail followed by a mere three months of inpatient rehab are going to help this girl. As much as I think he is a complete fame whore, I think Dr. Drew is right when he says she needs at least a year. She'll be partying hard again by Christmas. She clearly still thinks she is a victim, and you can only blame toxic parents for so long. I think her future is more along the lines of the Leif Garrett story.

Her mugshot(my new avatar)..she's smirking. Maybe I'm reading too much...but I would be in tears(probably knowing I could be abused).

I thought she had to remove her hair extensions once she was arrested. Why aren't they out in the mug shot?

I don't think she's worried about being abused. She knew she was going into a private cell. But I'm surprised she wasn't in tears just over going to jail in general.

That's my point...she doesn't look like she's worried about anything....and that's still a problem, I think.

Sheriff: Lindsay Lohan to Serve Only Two Weeks in Jail

By Ken Lee

Tuesday July 20, 2010 06:30 PM EDT

Facebook Twitter E-mail If Lindsay Lohan behaves herself in jail, she'll serve only about 14 days of her 90-day sentence.

"She is scheduled to be released on either Aug. 1 or 2 for overcrowding issues and good behavior," L.A. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore tells PEOPLE.

It's the long-standing policy of the L.A. County jail system to release nonviolent misdemeanor offenders early due to severe overcrowding.

Lohan, 24, is serving her time alone in a 12-by-8 cell for violating probation in her DUI case.
