Deny! Deny! Deny! Ashlee Simpson and Kim Kardashian have both denied they are engaged to UsWeekly . Ashlee was spotted yesterday wearing some ring on her engagement finger, but her rep says that she is not promised to Pete Wentz.

 

Kim Kardashian was rumored to have gotten engaged to Reggie Bush, but she told UsWeekly, "Like he would marry me?! I'm a whore!." No...she said, "It's not true. Not yet!"

 

I love the "not yet" part. She's optimistic. NOT EVER, I hope.

 

Again, I don't believe when celebrities deny this crap. They are all liars! They are lie tellers! I think Ass and Pete might be engaged, because I can see those two nerds getting married. I don't see Reggie proposing to Kim K any time soon though.

IT could have been awkward for Jessica Simpson and her new beau, Tony Romo, had they gone to Costa Rica with her sister, Ashlee, as they planned last weekend, rather than to Cabo San Lucas. Spies at the Four Seasons in Costa Rica said Ashlee was there with bo-hunk Pete Wentz - and staying next door at the Exclusive Resorts was Jessica's ex, Nick Lachey, with his girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo. Instead, Jessica flew to Mexico where she, Romo, several of his teammates, and her parents hung out at a private villa.

Latest Ashlee Simpson Model Released

 

 

A new and improved auburn-haired version of the Ashlee Simpson™ was unveiled at a red carpet event in Hollywood on Wednesday. She even blinks!

 

Manufacturers of the 2008 model retained the same vapid facial expression, restructured nose and rubberized lips featured in previous editions of the Ashlee.

 

As with all Ashlee versions since late 2004, vocal simulation software is still on back order.

Wow- I hate to say this, but I think she looks much better with the blond hair. This look totally wipes out the "prettiness" that her new nose achieved. Now with that dark hair back, all I see is that poor schlumpy little sister wanna-be rocker screwing up "You Make me Wanna La La" at that football game, or doing that sad lip sync jig on Sat Nite Live!!!! Blame for a recent Cowboys loss is just the latest in negative publicity

NEW YORK - Between them, sisters Jessica and Ashlee Simpson have had one high-profile divorce, an embarrassing lip-synch scandal, plastic surgeries both obvious and subtle, blame for a Dallas Cowboys loss, and an impresario father looming over it all.

 

Each shot to prominence — and up the pop charts — by taking the primrose path of MTV reality shows.

 

Each has had shining success at selling records, followed by abject failure.

 

And that’s just a sampling. If you’re a celeb-watcher (or football bettor), it’s juicy stuff.

 

If you’re a Simpson sister, it’s beginning to look like a critical mass of negativity.

 

Of late, Jessica, 27, and sister Ashlee, 23, are regularly slimed in the blogosphere, which becomes more and more vicious as public interest in celebrities reaches an all-time high. Trying to nurture a career — and stay in fans’ good graces — amid gleefully ruthless tabloid scrutiny can’t be an easy feat.

 

Especially for Jessica.

 

‘She’s doing the best she can’

The singer/actress/shoe designer will likely avoid the Dallas Cowboys stadium after fans blamed her weekend trip to Mexico with quarterback Tony Romo for the Cowboys’ defeat by the New York Giants.

 

Eva Longoria rallied to Simpson’s defense, as did ex-boyfriend John Mayer. In a post on his blog, Mayer wrote: “I have never known anyone to have more pride in their home state and their upbringing in it than Jessica Simpson has in Texas. ... It’s one of her most defining traits as a person. So please don’t try and take that away from her.”

 

For Simpson, who suffered a backlash of sorts after her marriage to Nick Lachey crumbled in 2005, bad press is apparently a side effect of living under the tabloid microscope.

 

“Jessica’s actually quite realistic about it,” publicist Elizabeth Wolfe told The Associated Press. “It’s part of the price of being in the public eye. She doesn’t like it. And if I were her mother, I would fight tooth and nail to protect her. But you can’t. She’s a grown-up woman, and she’s on her own and she’s doing the best she can.”

 

Wolfe is the spokeswoman for Millennium Films, which released Simpson’s new comedy, “Blonde Ambition,” co-starring Luke Wilson, to eight Texas theaters in December. It’s now available on DVD. Simpson’s upcoming films include “Major Movie Star,” in which she plays an actress-turned-Marine. These films follow her big-screen debut in “The Dukes of Hazzard.”

 

Meanwhile, Simpson’s little sister recently unleashed the video for her new single, “Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya),” to mixed reviews online. Ashlee’s third solo album, “Bittersweet World,” is expected to be released in the spring.

 

Ashlee, a media magnet for her romance with Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz, positioned herself as the anti-Jessica in 2004 when she documented the making of her debut album, “Autobiography,” on an MTV series. That album sold 2.9 million copies and spawned several radio-friendly hits despite the revelation that she lip-synched during a performance on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”

 

Her 2005 disc, “I Am Me,” failed to register a hit and only sold 942,000 copies — still, that was better than the end tally (297,000) for her sister’s 2006 clunker, “A Public Affair.”

 

‘Manufactured pop artists’

These days, Jessica’s gone country. She’s been recording a new album in Nashville, Tenn., to be released sometime this year, her publicist, Lauren Auslander, said recently. In a recent interview with Billboard.com, Jessica explained her reason for trying out a new sound: “I am a country girl. ... I always wanted to make a country album, but I wanted to wait until the time was right.”

 

Ian Drew, editor-at-large for Us Weekly magazine, said the siblings, who are managed by their domineering father, Joe Simpson, and reportedly haven’t been shy about having cosmetic procedures, could certainly prove themselves again — all they need is a surefire single or some other success that would eclipse the drama surrounding their personal lives.

 

“My honest opinion is neither of them really have a great deal of talent,” Drew remarked. “They’re manufactured pop artists. So it comes down to: Could they buy the right song or not?”

 

Still, unlike an artist like Madonna, who has a weak voice yet a strong point of view, “these girls don’t really have anything to say,” Drew said. “They’re not very intelligent. They’re not very insightful. ... And you can only go so far that way in the entertainment world.”

 

Publicist Howard Bragman said Jessica needs to stop juggling so many projects and “do fewer things better.”

 

“She’s still a very beautiful girl,” Bragman said. “There’s still a lot of media interest. She still has potential. ... Once you’ve been a star, you can be a star again. That’s the beauty of America.”

New Redhead Ashlee Simpson wants to get two things straight-- She doesn't dye her hair to be different from her sister, Jessica Simpson, and she loves her dad.

 

"He's so awesome. I'm lucky because he truly does care about me, and some people would be after money or this or that," Simpson says. Her father and Manager, Joe Simpson, is rumored to be controlling when it comes to his daughters' personal and professional lives. But his youngest says not so! "He's actually one of my really good friends," Ashlee says. "People really have the wrong idea about him."

 

 

Ashlee sat down with E!'s The Daily 10, where she was also eager to gush about her boyfriend, Fallout Boy's Pete Wentz. In case anyone was wondering, the couple is still going strong. "He's an awesome, supportive boyfriend and we both give each other honest opinions so that's cool. That's all I could ever ask for," she says.

 

Given all the chaoss surrounding Britney Spears, it's only natural that we wanted to know how Ashlee handles the media frenzy. "It's frustrating if someone is outside Starbucks when you're getting a coffee, or at the grocery store when you're in your pajamas," she says. "I've definitely had moments where I'm like, 'Ah, get out of my face!'"

Asshole Simpson performed at LAX last night and brought Pete Wentz along, because they are joined at the flat-ironed head. Yeah, she performed. She's still doing that music thing even though everybody has basically turned her off. You can't keep a no-talent fug down! Papa Joe is persistent.

 

Asshole and Pete are really growing on me as a couple like a bad corn on my big toe. A couple that flat irons together, stays together. They look like all they do is giggle like two Japanese school girls. They only giggle, because they basically have nothing to say to each other. That's the recipe of a wonderful relationship.

Ashlee Simpson Performs Her New Single, "I Am Me"

 

 

Ashlee Simpson is making music again and hit up the LAX nightclub at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Vegas to perform her new single, "I Am Me." Now, even though I went ahead and laughed along with the rest of America at her SNL flub, I'm not gonna lie--I totally rocked that first album of hers because it was pure, mindless, sugar-free bubble pop and dammit, I liked it. Since then, though, Ashlee's had a major nose job, a million different hair colors and is now dating Pete Wentz so it's been a while. But the two of them seem to be very happy together, sharing a flat-iron and everything.

 

I only caught the video to her first single, "Outta My Head," and it was aight. I guess I couldn't be objective, since I spent most of the video getting the impression that she very desperately wished she were Gwen Stefani. But, I can't judge her too harshly, since I often get that same feeling myself.

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson Might Make a Baby

 

 

In a video post on the Friends or Enemies.com website, Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson joke about making a baby while chilling out in what looks like a hotel room somewhere. At least, that's what I gathered from this mostly unintelligible video the two of them made. Now, I know it's all fun and games on-camera, but let's stop and think for a moment just what kind of child would result from this pairing of DNA.

 

First off, they'd run the risk that Ashlee's old nose would re-emerge in their spawn. Sideswept, greasy bangs are a must, as well as a desire to work in the music industry. Or, all bets would be off with the baby coming out looking exactly like Ash's sister, Jessica, which would be fantastic. Grandpa Joe would be all over that one.

 

Although, all jokes aside, Ashlee's hair actually looks really good in this picture.

Ashlee Simpson has been flashing bling on her ring finger for a while now.

 

On Wednesday, she confirmed it's a promise ring from her Fall Out Boy beau Pete Wentz.

 

"It just means that he hasn't asked my dad yet..." she explained on Fuse TV's The Sauce while promoting her upcoming album Bittersweet World.

 

Simpson also set the record straight on another issue: "No I'm not pregnant," she declared.

 

Though Ashlee and Pete may not be walking down the aisle, her older sis Jessica — who heads to Kuwait to perform for the troops next month — may be.

 

A close pal of her beau Tony Romo recently told Us Weekly, "I think they're going to get married."

Noticing a bright bit of bling on the singer's hand, Sauce host Jared Cotter asked if those diamonds on her fingers meant anything significant. At first, the 23-year-old joked, saying,"No I'm not pregnant" before admitting that it is indeed a promise ring from her boyfriend of over a year, Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz.

 

But being careful not to say too much with her father and manager Joe Simpson waiting in the wings, Ashlee clarified, "It just means that he hasn't asked my Dad yet..."

Ashlee Simpson was on The Fuse yesterday where she denied she's pregnant and engaged. Papa Joe would never have it! Ashlee said that she is "promised" to be Pete Wentz and has the ring to prove it. She said, "It just means that he hasn't asked my dad yet..."

 

I think she's lying. She's totally wearing one of those commitment rings creepy fathers give their daughters at the Purity Ball. She's promised to daddy forever. Pete Wentz And Ashlee Simpson Get Some Java, Pete To Cover Michael Jackson

 

 

I think Pete Wentz and his chick Ashlee go to the same salon. I'm seeing side-by-side hair coloring, manis, pedis, bikini waxes, the works. It bonds them as a couple. Her man is fancy! Pete's band Fall Out Boy is releasing a new live cd called "****" on April 8th and they're covering Michael Jackson's "Beat It" on the disc.

 

"Beat It" was such a hot video. Who doesn't love a knife-fight between two gay dancers tied at the wrist? And an Eddie Van Halen solo? Perfection. Hopefully MJ gets some royalties from this, seeing as he owes bank for Neverland and is very close to having it taken away. Are the animals OK?

 

Oh, and Fall Out Boy are calling their disc "***" because they realize they swear a lot. That's annoying and it's going to screw up your iTunes. Dicks.

Ashlee Simpson Can't Party Without Daddy?

Joe Simpson may be the father and manager of the Simpson sisters, but it seems as though Ashlee can't even hit a party without her protective parent.

 

Pop Tarts recently spotted the 23-year-old performer at one of Hollywood's biggest affairs (aka the Clive Davis pre-Grammy gig) alongside her boyfriend, Pete Wentz, and, of course, Joe.

 

But the threesome was back in business over the weekend in Sin City. On Friday they hit up PURE (and drank water only) until the wee hours. We are pleased to say, however, that the young lovers actually got a little time alone together as Tarts spotted Joe having dinner with people his own age at Company American Bistro.

 

But Ash and her two dates were back together on Saturday night at PURE's sister property, LAX. Simpson sang several of her hit songs (yes, no lip-synching) and her new single, "Outta My Head," for the packed party place. We're told she then got cuddly and cozy with Wentz while sipping champagne at the lounge as her dad sat beside them.

 

Perhaps Pete is working overtime to butter up big-wig Joe, as Ash has been busted sporting a giant diamond ring. The pop princess told Fuse TV this week that it is a "promise ring" only, meaning all Wentz has to do is ask Mr. Simpson for his daughter's hand in marriage…
