Jim Carrey & Jenny McCarthy Get SeriousFRIDAY JULY 07, 2006 07:00AM ESTpeople.comFrom a romantic helicopter ride to a Radiohead concert date night, the goofball duo of Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy are getting serious with each other, PEOPLE reports in its new issue. Holding hands at the June 29 Radiohead concert in Los Angeles, the pair "were having so much fun," says a fellow concertgoer. "It was like you were watching a romantic comedy." When three mothers approached Carrey to tell him their kids were fans of his 1994 film The Mask, the actor whipped around, eyes bulging, and gave them his trademark “Sssssssssmokin’!” – prompting a fit of giggles from all the women, including his date. What’s smokin' in Carrey's life these days is his romance with McCarthy, 33, which began quietly a few months ago but has shot into public view in recent weeks as the rubber-faced pair step out everywhere from a June 16 helicopter ride in Santa Monica to a Fiona Apple concert a few days later. The 44-year-old comedian, says a source close to him, "is very happy." As is McCarthy, who has been uncharacteristically mum about her new love. "I'm so brutally honest and tell people everything about my personal life, it's really hard not to," she told Access Hollywood, adding that Carrey is "an amazing person." The couple have more than just a silly streak in common: Carrey has a daughter, 18-year-old Jane, with first wife Melissa Womer; McCarthy has a son, 4-year-old Evan, with director John Asher. (McCarthy and Asher filed for divorce last August.) For now, the twosome seem focused on simply having a good time. "They were laughing and smiling," says an observer at the Radiohead concert. "They just look like such a great couple."

Carrey & McCarthy Laugh Off Engagement Rumors New celebrity couple Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy have laughed off reports they are engaged and plan to elope in September. The couple have been dating quietly since December and only went public with their romance last month. Last week, American publication the National Enquirer claimed the couple were planning to make it official and elope to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico over the Labor Day holiday weekend. However, Carrey's representative says, "They are not engaged. It's a rumor." McCarthy's spokesperson reiterates, "They are not engaged." The funnywoman, 33, split from husband John Asher last August, while Carrey has been married twice before to Melissa Womer and Lauren Holly. The couple have remained tight-lipped over their relationship, but McCarthy recently revealed, "He's an amazing person and that's all I have to say. I'm very happy."

Notes from all overWill wedding bells ring for Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy? The funny man and funny lady want to elope to Los Cabos, Mexico on Labor Day, according to the Star. “Jim calls Jenny 10 times a day,” an “insider” tells the tab. “Jenny’s been busting at the seams to scream her love from the rooftops,” the insider adds, but Carrey — who had a failed romance with Renee Zellweger and a failed marriage to Lauren Holly — is worried that too much media attention may wreck things.

Plane crazy, CarreyGuess those "Fun With Dick and Jane" residuals aren't quite cutting it. Movie comic Jim Carrey's Gulfstream V can be temporarily yours for the bargain price of $192,000 a day. Yesterday, Trans-Exec Private Jets, located in Van Nuys, Calif., confirmed that the jet, registered with the Federal Aviation Administration to James Eugene Carrey, is available to charter for $8,000 an hour. Carrey purchased the plane, for a reported $41 million, in early 2001.

Another 'Ace Ventura' Sequel in the WorksThose who don't remember history are doomed to repeat itAugust 15 2006Have the examples of "Dumber and Dumberer" and "Son of the Mask" taught studios nothing?Apparently not.According to The Hollywood Reporter, Morgan Creek is moving forward on a sequel to 1994's "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" and "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls," two of the comedies that put Jim Carrey on the map.The only problem: If the story in the trades is to be trusted, the film is being written without any necessary involvement on Carrey's part.Jeff Sank and brothers Jason and Justin Heimberg have been selected by the production company to write "Ace 3," which will -- you guessed it -- focus on the famous pet detective's son, who will take over the family business. The first "Ace Ventura" film made just under $110 million worldwide, while the sequel made under $215 million around the globe.Released in 2003, the Carrey-free "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd" failed to make it to $40 million worldwide, while the worldwide take for "Son of the Mask" did a little better, but couldn't make it past $60 million worldwide. That's just something to think about, Breckin Meyer, when somebody calls you to star in "Ace 3."

Cameron Diaz and Jim Carrey play A Little Game together. The Mask duo are set to reunite for Focus Features' comedy-drama about a happily married couple who pretend to break up--only to discover that maybe they weren't so perfect for each other in the first place. The tricks start flying next month in New York.

Carrey, Diaz Don't Got "Game"

It's Game over for Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz.

The A-listers, who were planning to reunite onscreen for the first time since 1994's smash The Mask, have pulled out of Focus Features' dramedy A Little Game Without Consequence less than a month before filming was set to get underway, the studio confirmed Wednesday.

A source connected to the project told E! Online that Carrey and Diaz's departure was the result of the usual bugaboo of creative differences--specifically the actors were said to be unhappy with the latest version of the script written by the movie's Italian director, Gabriele Muccino.

Based on a French play by Jean Dell and Gerald Sibleyras, A Little Game Without Consequence follows a model couple who pretend to separate only to find their friends never thought they were good together in the first place. The story was adapted into the 2004 French comedy Un Petit Jeu Sans Consequence.

According to the source, Carrey and Diaz signed on pending a rewrite to address problems in the third act without ruining the film's dark tone. But the draft turned in by Muccino apparently took a different tact. The revised screenplay also reportedly irked Game's producers, who wanted to make the high-concept plot more commercial.

Following Carrey and Diaz's exit, Muccino also dropped out.

"Due to amicable but substantive creative differences, Focus Features and producers Alain Chabat and Stephanie Danan are no longer making A Little Game with Gabriele Muccino," the studio said in a statement. "We are actively seeking a suitable replacement and plan to move forward with the project when that happens."

Various reports have indicated that Focus honcho James Schamus, who wrote The Ice Storm, is tackling the latest rewrite in hopes of getting the project back on track.

Focus, which produced Carrey's quirky romantic drama Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, will likely have to go forward without the funnyman, whose career had hiccupped in recent months.

Carrey, 44, remains one of the highest paid actors in the industry, often earning $20 million or more per film. However, his last vehicle, 2005's Fun with Dick and Jane, tanked at the box office, and he hasn't been able to get any of his planned projects off the ground this year.

Paramount scuttled two Carrey movies before shooting could begin--Used Guys, which would have paired Carrey with Ben Stiller; and Ripley's Believe It Or Not, helmed by Tim Burton--citing a laundry list of issues, most notably escalating costs and script concerns.

As a result, Carrey made a dramatic move, firing his longtime agents at United Talent Agency, who had repped him since he was a sketch player on In Living Color, and hiring Creative Artists Agency to get him back in the game, if not A Little Game.

Next up for Carrey is the mystery thriller The Number 23, due out next year. He is also lending his voice to a big-screen animated version of Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who. (He will not, however, reprise his title role in the third Ace Ventura sequel that is in the works.)

As for Diaz, the 34-year-old will be seen opposite Kate Winslet and Jude Law in the romantic comedy The Holiday, due out Dec. 8 and is back as Princess Fiona in DreamWorks' highly anticipated Shrek the Third, set for a May 18, 2007 release.

Jenny McCarthy: No Plans to Wed Jim Carrey

TUESDAY DECEMBER 05, 2006 02:20PM EST

By Stephen M. Silverman, People.com

Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey, who quietly started dating at the end of last year, plan on keeping the status quo.

"We're happy with the way things are," the 1994 Playboy Playmate of the Year tells TV's Extra. "We have no plans to get married."

The couple recently returned from Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes's wedding in Rome: "I was very happy to be there with him," McCarthy, 34, said of her Italian trip with Carrey, 44.

The romance between the two shot into public view over the summer as the rubber-faced pair stepped out everywhere from a June 16 helicopter ride in Santa Monica to a Fiona Apple concert a few days later, PEOPLE reported in July.

Holding hands at a June 29 Radiohead concert in Los Angeles, the pair "were having so much fun," said a fellow concertgoer. "It was like you were watching a romantic comedy."

The weekend of July 28, the couple stayed at the $25,000-a-night Sky Villa in Sin City's Palms Casino Resort. During their three-day getaway, they enjoyed in-room massages and hit the high-roller lounge for some blackjack.

Carrey, said a source close to him, "is very happy" about the relationship.

This was in Ted's column yesterday, eonline. Bizarre! He's had a few items about this couple recently....

Did you know Jim Carrey has had not one, not two, but three pics canceled recently? People are talking about it. A lot. Prepare to see much more ink on said dicey sitch.

Could this be why things are heating up so much between Mr. C. and that adorable Jenny McCarthy, those freshly jetted Tom Cruise companions? Does Jimmy-doll just want to curl up and be cocooned with his new, peroxided baby, just to be safe from certain pro naysayers? (Tim Burton, did you just blush?)

Yes, pals close to Ms. M. (who has been known to stick a parking ticket to a Hell-Ay clothing store she happened to be frequenting, doncha love that one?), are a bit concerned that J.M. seems utterly Stepford Wife-ready for life with the wacky comic.

But something else worries these McCarthy buds even more. Read on to the end o' the column for that nasty-ass bit.

SLIP SLIDING AWAY

Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy Go Balls Out For Their X-Mas Shindig

I want to be part of a rich, comedic power-couple. Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey consistently feel the need to rub it in my face that I AM NOT by holding an unbelievable, no-holds barred party of indescribable holiday fun and excitement in Los Angeles. ContactMusic.com reports:

The couple have invited over 200 people, including TOM CRUISE and KATIE HOLMES and BEN STILLER and wife CHRISTINE TAYLOR. Carrey, who played THE GRINCH in the feature film version of DR SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS, and MCCarthy have also hired real reindeer for the bash. The pair have spared no expense and have also had a custom-made ice-skating rink built just for the party. US Olympic skater SASHA COHEN has been booked to perform and guests have been asked to bring children's gifts for a toy drive.

If they were REALLY so funny, they'd have had Sacha Baron Cohen dressed like Sasha Cohen ice-skating. HA!

Jim Carrey: It's 'Real' with Jenny McCarthy

people.aol.com

How can you tell Jim Carrey is in love? He was only 10 minutes into a press conference for his new movie, The Number 23, when he mentioned girlfriend Jenny McCarthy.

Referring to a large, gothic-style fake tattoo he wore for the film, Carrey, 45, proudly told reporters in Beverly Hills on Friday, "Jenny liked it! It was weird – it's amazing what a tattoo does for a girl."

Carrey, who has dated Renée Zellweger and was married to Lauren Holly, said of McCarthy, 34: "I feel that our relationship happened at a time that I am more ready than I have ever been in my life to have a relationship."

He continued, "We also encourage each other. We're both on the same path, so it's really – real."

He and McCarthy first started getting serious over the summer, when they went on dates ranging from a helicopter ride in Santa Monica to a Radiohead concert in Los Angeles.

"This is the happiest I've ever seen Jim, and we've been friends for a really long time," said The Number 23 director Joel Schumacher. Turning to Carrey, he added, "And I've seen you when you've been really suffering in love."

Carrey admitted, "The only thing that has ever consumed me is love. Feeling like, 'What is it? How do I get it?' All of those things have consumed my mind from time to time."

Love So Blind

JIM Carrey and Jenny McCarthy are so in love, they didn't notice when a hit-and-run driver smashed their parked scooter. Carrey and his Playmate girlfriend were dining on steak and truffle fries at Prime 112 in South Beach Tuesday afternoon. "They started making out all over each other," said a witness. "They were so into each other that they didn't see their scooter, which was parked out front, get hit by a car. It was damaged and dented. The car sped away." The couple rolled the scooter back to their hotel. A rep for Carrey didn't return calls.

That's kind of sweet when you think about it.

They do seem genuine and these hard times I need to see a celebrity couple that doesn't get married or feel the need to pop out babies to ensure their marriage's legitimacy.

Jim Carrey Spends the 4th With His Loved Ones

Filed under: Jenny McCarthy , Jim Carrey

Jim Carrey spent his Fourth of July at the beach in Malibu with his girlfriend Jenny McCarthy, her son Evan, and his daughter Jane. The actor has clearly found a soul-mate in Jenny, and seems to dote on her son which is hugely important to Jenny.

And, according to Jenny, the pair's plans for the next month or so will include more of the same. "Beach beach beach beach beach," she told People magazine of their summer agenda. "We like to sit and do nothing. Stare at the ocean and go 'ohmmm'." While their romance has been going strong for over a year now, model and actress Jenny, 34, insists marriage is not on the horizon.

"There will be no wedding," she confirms. "Goldie (Hawn) and Kurt (Russell) have made it, and that's what we can strive for." And she's not planning on adding to her brood, either. "I'm completely fine not having any more children. I completely love mine, and I love giving him all of my attention."

The couple, or at least Jim, seems to be a huge dog lover as well. He was seen nuzzling up to a couple of them during the beach outing.
