Despite a U.S. television report, Heather Mills McCartney has not gained full custody of Beatrice, her 2-year-old daughter with estranged husband Sir Paul McCartney, reps for both Heather and Sir Paul tell PEOPLE.

 

The TV show Extra reported Tuesday that Michele Elyzabeth, described as Heather's publicist, said Heather had gone to court in London on Friday and received an order granting her full custody, with visitation rights for Sir Paul.

 

Sir Paul's U.K. publicist, Stuart Bell, tells PEOPLE the claim is "total rubbish."

Heather Mills McCartney only had a baby to please husband Sir Paul McCartney, her close friend has claimed. Michelle Elizabeth, who is also the former model's publicist, is sick of her friend being depicted as a money-grabbing schemer and has decided to speak out about the sacrifices she made while with the Beatles legend. Elizabeth claims Heather - who lost her leg in a motorcycle accident in 1993 - risked her life to provide Paul with the child, daughter Beatrice, that he desperately craved. In an interview on US TV news show 'Extra', she said: "It was very hard for her to have the child. Heather has metal pieces in her pelvis and doctors said that she should not have a child but she went through it because she actually loved Paul." Elizabeth claims Heather has begged her not to defend her because she is anxious that her divorce is not conducted in public, but says she felt the need to give her friend some much needed, and deserved, support. She added: "She's being attacked from everywhere. It's horrible. I need to speak, even though she was not really up for it."

So it sounds like she will hand Bea over to Paul. I don't believe for one moment that he made her have a baby. She knew what she was doing. I heard on a news show yesterday that the media is having a field day attacking her. They never liked her, but were afraid of Paul. Now the gloves are off!

JMO, but I don't think the media just "goes after" people as Heather claims they did from the start of their relationship. I think, based upon Paul's popularity, that people really would have given Heather the benefit of the doubt and probably warmed to her if it weren't for her completely brassy, self promoting and arrogant personality. That, coupled with her innocent, I'm just a girl from modest roots really was too disingenuous in the end. Gotta maybe give the girl props for being a kick-the-a** street survivor, but big slapdown over putting on airs and being such a general pain in the a** to be around.

I don't believe that Paul made her have a baby. With all we have know now about her past, there is no way Heather did not know how to use birth control. I agree it makes it sound that she will give custody of Bea to her Dad. Heather should consider a new publicist, best friend or whatever. They are not pleading her case very well.

And whereas I can believe that Paul would want another child, what I can't buy into is that he would push it after doctors recommended against it. More likely she never told him that part and kept it to heself to use as one more strike against him in a future divorce. Gold-digging Ho ~ yep ~ that sums it up! I think Paul actually knew her background and -- like so many rich, powerful, older men -- thought that he was enough of a stud that he could "save" her, that he would be the only one she'd truly love, that under his influence she'd become the woman he wanted her to be, and other many hubris-infused ideas. The 38-year-old former model - who separated from husband Sir Paul McCartney last month - has furiously rubbished allegations made yesterday branding them rehashed and false stories from four years ago.

A statement released by her lawyers said: "Heather Mills McCartney strongly denies the allegations. These are not new stories.

"The sources are clearly are a variety of unreliable persons who have been paid for their stories.

"The timing of the articles is clearly designed to cause maximum hurt to Heather, her husband and family at the sensitive time."

 

Former prostitute Petrina Montrose claims Heather worked as a call-girl specialising in group and lesbian sex in her twenties and revealed details about an alleged threesome with an Arab prince, Adnan Khashoggi.

Petrina told Britain's News of the World newspaper: "Heather was a familiar face in our business. "I knelt facing the Heather and we performed a sex act on the prince." Perhaps, but look at it this way. Should it come to trial her defence lawyers have a perfect line of attack. Those making the allegations have been involved in vice, either as fellow "ladies" or as the madam or have acted to procure "ladies" for their clients and therefore are inherently unreliable. They may also have been paid by the News of the World and/or The Sun. I highly doubt any of the clients would be willing to take the stand and so it will come down to whose word is trusted more (if it gets to Court). However, I don't know if there are special circumstances that apply because this is a libel case.This particular story is instructive because what you are seeing is what the tabloid British press will do to you if they don't like you and they've got something on you. They're absolutely merciless.

After previous statements referring to her split from husband Paul McCartney as a separation, Heather Mills McCartney is now using the D-word.

 

"Contrary to recent press reports, Heather Mills McCartney will not be giving any interviews or commenting in relation to her pending divorce from her husband," said a statement issued by Mills McCartney's office Sunday.

 

And Tuesday morning, Mills McCartney's lawyer released another statement, marked "urgent," saying that she planned to sue a British tabloid after her divorce had been finalized.

 

"The interests of her daughter (Beatrice, 2) are of paramount concern," the statement says. "She will defer issue of legal proceedings until the arrangements in relation to the divorce are concluded, but intends to sue at that stage all parties, including individuals, who are intent on damaging her reputation."

 

On Sunday, Britain's News of the World ran an article claiming that Mills McCartney once worked as a high-priced call girl.

 

The statement continues: "Heather is very distressed by this article. She continues to recover slowly from her revision amputation operation and has suffered weight loss, anxiety and sleeping problems as a result of the stress and anxiety of the break up of her marriage. The coverage of this in certain newspapers has caused further distress and illness to her."

 

The McCartneys announced their split in May after four years of marriage.

It's nothing to do with him and everything to do with the press. The press supposedly had all this stuff on her, but judged that by publishing it when they were together it would not be in their interests since the public would react badly to them attacking Paul McCartney's wife and there would be a backlash. Now he and his wife are "separated" the press have made the call that they can publish it and it will not damage them, so they're going ahead and publishing. He would not have sufficient clout to stop them publishing now if he wanted to do so. It's how the press perceive the public reaction that's the key to what's happening.
