Stella hated Heather from the get-go.And poor old Paul. Of course he's going to insist that Heather didn't marry him for the money... what old coot wants to think his young blonde wife wasn't after his throbbing manhood but merely interested in his cash?

I feel ya' Princess. After my mom died, my father moved to Florida (selling the house I know my mother wanted me and my siblings to have) and it seems his sole mission is to find a girlfriend/wife. My father is 70 but he's running around trying to pick up chicks like he's 20. Disgusting.

If you ever want to see me go postal, just say "russian tradition". If I hear that phrase from the girlfriend one more time, I will go bonkers  It seems that things are starting to crumble though, hopefully this will blow over in another 6 months. *keeps fingers crossed* Why do men always fall for the same story?!?! Famous or normal - they always fall for it. -_-

Ask her back what Russian tradition! :D With 45 years she isn't old enough for the traditions of Russian nobility, but just the right age for Soviet traditons -_-, and post-Glasnost corruption! ;)

Ego, loneliness, and being able to pull a hot young thing...so throw in sex. I'm not excusing it, by any means. These people actually want to try to make themselves believe that money is not the motivation...when we damn sure haven't heard anything from Heathen saying I don't want Beatle money. Marriage is a business arrangement...gotta protect your interests.

>> Rolling in the Heather <<

Wanted: a blow-by-blow account

Poor Heather Mills. It seems only yesterday that

she was enjoying her flirty courtship with Macca,

throwing the press and his family off the scent

by booking him into hotels under names like

Lord Jock of Dundee, Vladimir the Russian

Masseur and Mr. Patel. Now marriage has come and

gone, and the British press is branding her

an evil, gold-digging monoped.

But aren't they missing something? Heather's

shortcomings (her personality, her problems

with truth, etc) are obvious - and yet Macca

still married her. Why? There can be only one

explanation: Heather must be awesome in bed.

Instead of slagging her off, the papers should

be encouraging her to share the secret of her

sexual techniques. Now THAT might be worth

the 200 million...

FYI: Heather tries to set the record straight:

Ex-Beatle McCartney could face custody battleFormer Beatle Sir Paul McCartney and his estranged wife Lady Heather Mills McCartney could become locked in a bitter custody battle for their two-year-old daughter, the Daily Mail claimed Friday. Despite the couple insisting their split was "amicable", the newspaper said unnamed "friends are worried things could turn nasty" if they fail to reach agreement over access rights to their daughter Beatrice. Another unidentified source suggested 63-year-old McCartney was determined that Beatrice should not be spoilt and wanted to bring her up in the same way as his three other children from his marriage to first wife Linda. But 38-year-old former model Mills -- said to be currently caring for Beatrice -- was reported resistant to giving sole custody of her only child without a fight and keen to raise her daughter her own way. The Daily Mail claimed Mills expected Beatrice to attend a fee-paying school while McCartney favoured a state-run school like those attended by his children Mary, 36, fashion designer Stella, 33, James, 28, and stepdaughter Heather, 42. It suggested custody, rather than a financial settlement, could be the sticking point in any divorce proceedings that might ensue. McCartney and Mills married in June 2002 and announced their separation on Wednesday, blaming "constant instrusion" into their private lives. British newspapers speculated on Thursday that Mills could receive up to 200 million pounds (290 million euros, 375 million dollars) of McCartney's estimated 800-million-pound fortune if they were to divorce.

HEATHER Mills is so devastated over her split from Sir Paul McCartney the stress has put her back in a wheelchair.

The 38-year-old suffered a relapse from leg surgery she had four weeks ago, brought on by the collapse of their marriage.

Friends said Heather has hardly slept since breaking up from Macca, right, two weeks ago and has been in floods of tears. One added: "She's in a very low place."

WORRIED friends of Heather Mills last night said they fear her devastating split from Sir Paul McCartney is damaging her health.

The 38-year-old is back in a wheelchair after a relapse following surgery on her amputated leg, brought on by stress from the break-up. She has hardly slept and has been in floods of tears since the couple's marriage collapsed.

One friend said: "We're very worried about her. She's at a very low ebb both emotionally and physically. She is unable to walk and is in a wheelchair.

"She is in so much pain She's in a very low place. When you're an amputee, and in particular when you've had a revision amputation, you can be on crutches for a few days and then have to go back to a wheelchair depending on how the day goes.

"She's now spending most of her time in a wheelchair so draw your own conclusions."

Heather had the operation four weeks ago when a metal plate in her pelvis used for her new false leg shifted.

The friend added: "She's incredibly vulnerable at the moment and deeply stressed. She's had a major operation and is recovering from that. She's a feisty girl and to find that's she immobilised and going through a marriage break-up, is incredibly difficult.

"She's been in floods of tears and is also having problems sleeping but her friends are rallying round. A revision amputation can leave you very physically under par. She'd been on crutches but she now needs a wheelchair.

"She's had a new leg fitted and any prolonged pressure makes it blister. She had hoped to be mobile again by next week but now she is taking it day by day. The stress has made it so much worse."

Heather is being cared for by her sister Fiona and a tight-knit circle of friends.

Macca, who has not seen his wife since they split more than two weeks ago, is said to "extremely concerned" about her health and has been calling her regularly.

The couple are also said to have discussed their two-year-old daughter Beatrice.

Her friend added: "Paul has been very supportive over the phone. She and Paul are determined to keep things amicable for Bea. When they married, they had every reason to think they would be together for ever. It is devastating for her." The couple have yet to discuss with lawyers their divorce. Heather could claim up to £200million from his £825million fortune, but is expected to settle for £50million in a quickie divorce.

On Wednesday, the former Beatle confirmed the Mirror's exclusive story that 63-year-old Macca and Heather were to split after four years' of marriage.

She has cancelled the launch party for her new book, Life Balance, published next Thursday - which gives guidance on how to improve your life.

In it she says accusations that she is a gold digger were "worse than losing my leg". Heather admits she has a bad temper and is not a good communicator.

She writes: "I held back on what I wanted to say in case I hurt someone's feelings, which led to me becoming frustrated and expressing myself impatiently."

Charity campaigner Heather Mills McCartney has lashed out of claims she married Sir Paul McCartney for his vast fortune in her new self-help book Life Balance.

The Beatles rocker, 63, and former model, 38, announced their split yesterday after nearly four years of marriage and having daughter, Beatrice, together.

Since she began dating the veteran musician in 1999, Mills McCartney has been portrayed as gold-digging liar by some sections of the press, much to the chagrin of the couple.

McCartney published a statement on his website yesterday, saying, "It's been suggested that she married me for the money and there is not an ounce of truth in this.

"She is a very generous person who spends most of her time trying to help others in greater need than herself."

McCartney's sentiments are echoed in Mills McCartney's book, which hits shops next week.

She writes, "They (the media) made me out to be a gold digger and I decided to keep my mouth shut and say nothing.

"Looking back, that was a mistake. That period turned out to be the darkest and most difficult in my life - worse even than losing my leg."

Mills McCartney lost her left leg in a road accident in Kensington, London, in 1993.

05/19/2006Source: telegraph.co.ukIt's Lady Mills McCartney's relentless attention-seeking - even in charity work - that so rankles, says Lesley Thomas.Triumph over a desperate childhood and disability, tireless charity work, good looks and marriage to a national icon - it should have been so easy for us to love her. But there is something about Heather Mills McCartney that has always irked. Even before she was accused of being a fantasist who had rewritten large parts of her history, before it was reported that she forced Paul McCartney to stop wearing the wedding ring of his late, beloved wife of 29 years Linda, we just couldn't warm to her. Whatever the X factor is, Heather has the opposite. Whatever she does, we are suspicious of the motive, even if it is helping to save baby seals. We all are sensitive to the misery of divorce and when children are involved - in this case, two-year-old Beatrice - it can only be heartbreaking. Yet why is it there is not even the faintest amount of pity for this newly single mother whose marriage has failed after just four years? Instead, there is a resounding cry of "Paul, we told you so!" To be fair to Heather, we were always going to treat her with suspicion. She was a pretty young woman who, after a whirlwind romance, married a sixty-something with £800 million in his wallet. Just like Mrs Merton, Caroline Aherne's spoof chat-show character, who once asked magician's wife Debbie McGee, "So, what attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels?", we saw only pound signs in Heather's eyes. Speculation and calculation about just how much the divorce of the century will net the model-turned-charity campaigner are rife. Could she get half of the massive McCartney fortune? Or will it be just £1 million for every week of marriage. Might she walk away with a mere £50 million no-strings quickie settlement? Although she no doubt enjoys the good life, money is not what Heather craves. Lady Mills McCartney, as Paul himself said yesterday, is no gold-digger. What Heather digs is attention. She is blatant about it and that is what rankles.Compare Heather's charity work with that of Linda McCartney. Linda campaigned for animal rights her entire adult life without attaching any glitz to her efforts. The second Mrs McCartney, who finds it easy to be passionate about everything from land-mines to mistreated dogs and the evils of dairy products, seems to have adopted a relentless "look at me" approach to her charitable work that is uncomfortable to watch. All Heather's acts of altruism seem to be more about Heather than anything else. On her official website, ostensibly a platform for her campaigns, there are gushing testimonials from friends and associates about what an incredible person Heather really is."The public and particularly the press have very little idea of the amount of good work that Heather has done," says one. "The people who speak unkindly about Heather have all to some degree an ulterior motive, whether it stems from an imagined childhood wrong to wanting to sell a story to newspapers." It is curious that this contributor, along with the majority on the website, chooses not to give his or her name. Still, if you have no interest in Heather's personality, there are dozens of her favourite photographs of herself on the site. Here she is arching her back in a slinky golden goddess dress; there she is, looking ravishing in a strapless ball-gown. Then there is a more wholesome section, including Heather cuddling a dog or riding a bike (glamorously, with no helmet, mind). My favourite is among the feisty-campaigner selection, with Heather showing off perfect biceps in a red sleeveless "No more land-mines" T-shirt with co-ordinating scarlet lipstick and an expensive blow-dry. Then there is a black-and-white one of her resting her chin on her hands. Remind you of someone? It is just like the Patrick Demarchelier picture taken for Vogue of Diana, Princess of Wales. This, it has to be said, is another reason she gets the public goat. From Madonna to Victoria Beckham, many self-obsessed famous women believe they have a lot in common with Diana, but Heather's Diana-mimicry outdoes them all. The campaign to ban land-mines was pretty obscure until Diana drew attention to it. Who can forget those iconic pictures of the princess with children who had lost limbs? And who better to take her place? This, after all, was the woman who, after losing her leg in an accident, called tabloid editors from her hospital bed to sell her story about her ruined modelling career. (Incidentally, looking at her 1980s modelling portfolio, she was definitely more page three than catwalk.)In some ways, though, I admire Heather's chutzpah. She ran away from her home in Tyne and Wear at the age of 13 to join a funfair, there was a stint at topless modelling, work (allegedly) as an escort, a couple of jilted lovers, ectopic pregnancies, awful periods of abuse, homelessness and destitution and, of course, the horror of losing a limb. But, at some point, she crossed the line between plucky and downright brazen. Marriage to one of the most-renowned songwriters of the 20th century brought her the best kind of attention there is: a place on the A list. She mingled with statesmen and royalty, and went global. Heather's face has appeared everywhere from Vanity Fair magazine to CNN and she loved it. She loved it so much that, apparently, she began to resent the fact that her husband still got more attention than she did. She seemed almost proud of her claim that she didn't know many Beatles hits and refused to tour with Paul in America last year. Naturally, this didn't endear her to the millions of Beatles fans around the world. Like the rest of us, they had tried at first to be happy for Paul. He had had a miserable time after Linda died and was lonely and, although his young wife had been branded "a fruitcake" by some of those who knew her, at least he was having fun. But it wasn't long before he started to look a bit of an old fool, mesmerised by what have been described in one Vanity Fair profile as Heather's "erotic wiles". Her sartorial makeover of Paul, which involved dyeing his hair (badly) and styling him in the manner of a children's Gap window display, didn't help either of their public images. According to his friends, it was her criticism and nagging that pushed him over the edge - a paradoxical accusation for a woman who, in her new self-help book, Life Balance, to be published next week, gives us her tips for "spiritual, physical and emotional" happiness. Although it is hardly unusual for children to be enthusiastic about a stepmother, the silence from Paul McCartney's three children from his first marriage has been deafening. Fashion designer Stella, in particular, has done little to hide her disapproval of Heather. At the Live8 concert last year, she very publicly moved away from Heather, not wanting to talk to her father in his wife's presence and also ensuring there were no happy-family photo opportunities. Few, it seems, have a good word to say for her. Geoff Baker, Paul McCartney's long-standing press officer, was dismissed last year, reportedly at Heather's instigation after falling out with her. At the time, Baker would say nothing on the subject, but his next move spoke volumes. He took a job as an editor of a golfing magazine and chose for the cover of his first issue a nude Heather McCartney lookalike with a golf ball resting on her cleavage. It is possible that HM - another of her monikers - didn't mind a bit. After all, a cover is a cover.

Sounds to me after reading these articles that she is devestated to lose her meal ticket to the big time. Paul and Linda seemed so grounded to me and their kids so sane. I BET they hate this broad. I'm glad she's gone. Now Paul can find a nice woman who loves him, and isn't there for the fame. Look beyond the BJ's Paul.
