Lovely celeb sighting! I'm super-envious of you right now, I used to enjoy that area of Boston so much. The Public Gardens there and Boston Common right down the street. Were you all having a lovely stroll down Newbury St.? A little shopping, a little lunch, a nice cold drink, just meandering around town.... sigh.

 

Sometimes Los Angeles sucks - it's not a walkable city the way Boston is and I miss that.

I never get too much "first-hand" gossip here in Boston, but yesterday my husband, two kids and I were strolling around downtown Boston near the Four Seasons and saw Kate Hudson, Ryder, and Dax. I tend to think of her as too thin from the tabloid photos, but she has a great body. Thin, but not too much so with great arms. She was in a pair of very tight jeans. "dadofvande" was quite impressed! As we got a little closer I noticed her skin wasn't too great, but other than that she was looking good.

 

Now for her behavior. She was very giggly, pushing Ryder in a stroller and being VERY affectionate with Dax. We happened to be walking in the same direction they were, and every time they got to a corner where they had to wait for a walk signal in order to cross (you know Boston drivers! ) they would pretty much make out. Didn't seem like an act to us ... looked like high schoolers in love!!

 

Ah, my pet peeve!!! How do celebrities somehow miss the social cues that tell them that humping each other in public isn't impressive? I'm raising teenagers who can't understand why I won't let them make out on the front porch, when assholes like this, GROWN UPS, grind all over each other at each corner in a major city. (I'm more thinking of the repulsive behavior of GMD and Stepford Beard more than Kate and Dax, but it's the same concept) Losers.

Kate Hudson probably finally realized she wasn't dating someone at her fame level. Sources tell OK! Magazine that Kate has dumped Dax Shepard and he didn't even know it! Dax apparently heard from a friend that Kate was over his ass.

 

"Dax got a phone call about it from a friend. He's upset that she didn't bother to say anything to him."

 

Kate was spotted last week "canoodling" with supermarket billionaire Ron Burkle in NYC.

 

I'm sure Kate is just beside herself. Look at her with Dax. She looks so in love. Oh well, I'm sure Ron Burkle will buy her a jet to ease the pain.

Kate Hudson's son excited seeing mom on TV

 

Kate Hudson's son is shocked when he sees her on TV. The 'Almost Famous' actress says three-year-old Ryder gets very excited when he sees her on TV but is unaware she is a big Hollywood star.

 

She told People magazine: "Every once in a while, he will go, 'Oh my God, mommy, you're on TV, you're on TV!' "I don't think he has any understanding of it. I think he's aware that it's mommy's job."

 

Kate - who is estranged from Ryder's father, Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson - says her son has taken a keen interest in acting. She revealed: "I watch my son when he goes on set, and he watches what we do. You can't help but be interested in what everybody is doing."

 

The 28-year-old actress, who was brought up on film sets by actress mother Goldie Hawn and stepfather Kurt Russell, says she didn't feel any different from her friends. She said: "People ask me about my parents and growing up. I don't ever remember a defining moment where I understood what my parents did. It was their job, like anybody."

 

When asked about her love life, Kate - who was reported to have split from new boyfriend Dax Shepard earlier this month - said she thought Dax is a "great guy", but refused to answer any more questions about him.

Kate Hudson is reportedly trying to rekindle her romance with ex-boyfriend Owen Wilson after splitting from Dax Shepard.

 

The 'Almost Famous' actress is said to be desperate to woo back Owen - who was hospitalised in August after a failed suicide bid - after realising she still loves him.

 

A source said: "It was working out between her and Dax, but it's a clean break.

 

"After Owen's suicide attempt, she realised how much she loved him, and broke up with Dax."

 

Kate - who has a three-year-old son, Ryder, with ex-husband Chris Robinson - began dating Owen last year after meeting on the set of 'You, Me and Dupree'.

 

However, they split in June following reports they clashed over his wild lifestyle.

 

Pals of Owen say he was devastated by the break-up and was heartbroken when he saw pictures of Kate and 'Employee of the Month' star Dax canoodling while shopping.

 

Just days later, he was rushed to hospital when his actor brother Luke found him unconscious after slashing his wrists.

Kate Hudson starred in "Le Divorce" — twice. The film version was released in 2003. The real-life version debuted Thursday, when her divorce from rocker Chris Robinson was finalized in Los Angeles Superior Court.

 

Details of their child custody arrangement and property division were not disclosed. They have a 3-year-old son.

 

Robinson, 40, lead singer of Black Crowes, cited irreconcilable differences when he filed for divorce last November after nearly six years of marriage.

Hudson famously dated Owen Wilson after splitting from her husband Chris Robinson - and then funnyman Dax Shephard after the split from Owen. Now she has been spotted smooching Heath, who himself is only recently single after his recent split from wife Michelle Williams.

FORGET Dax Shephard; Kate Hudson has moved on to an actual movie star. Hudson, having dumped funnyman Shephard, was linked to Dane Cook, but Thursday night she only had eyes for Heath Ledger. Spies at Beatrice Inn said they spent their evening at the trendy watering hole "kissing and making out." A rep for Hudson said, "This is absolutely untrue. They ran into each other and chatted briefly, but that was the extent of it." But our spy insists on the liplock.

What she SHOULD do is remind that kid who is in charge. Either cut it off yourself or take him in and have someone else cut it. Kids that grow up like that with no paramaters, actually believing they are in charge, will be shitty adults. This isn't a cute story, it is a story of indulgence and lack of discipline. I bet that kid is a GIGANTIC brat.

On the old topic of the kid's hair ... I agree that kids need clear boundaries and that the parents have to be in charge. I'm the parent of a four-year-old boy and find haircuts get tricky, though. We keep my kid's hair very short, although many of his schoolmates are long-haired California boys. He likes wearing his hair short but is sensitive about having it messed with, so I have to work a lot of different subtle angles on the issue. If he doesn't feel like getting his hair cut on a particular day--it does mean he has to sit still for a long time--I don't force him to, but I tell him he'll need one very soon because his hair doesn't look nice. He cares about his appearance, and he has a complicated cowlick that starts to stick up when the hair gets too long, so within a week or two after my initial attempt, he'll get annoyed with the sprout and generally ask to have his hair cut.

 

Further thoughts:

 

* I don't think it's fair to the hair stylist to bring my kid in if he's not going to be cooperative.

 

* My fallback position (haven't had to go there yet) would be to tell him that people will think he's a girl. That'd do it instantly.

 

* If my boy had started out with long hair, and he liked it, and if his father had long hair, things could be rough going if we tried to switch him to short hair.

 

Anyway, since the Hudson/what's-his-name family clearly doesn't think there's anything wrong with long hair on little boys, I don't think we can assume that they're going to deal with the issue as if it was a discipline thing. I know lots of people here in crazy CA whose boys have long hair and aren't bad parents. These are celebs, so they are probably lousy parents, but I wouldn't use the hair thing as the barometer.

Kate Hudson looked considerably fluffy as she was seen arriving to a Dolce and Gabbana party at Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City. I’m not sure what she was wearing underneath her white coat, but she had a funky pair of grey tights and ankle boots poking out the bottom.

 

And I must say, she certainly didn’t seem shy when she saw the paps! Brilliant, more shots like these please
