maybe she is sending a message--- "don't mess with me anymore !" as for the other report about the dominatrix-- it sound like they are putting that out saying " she likes to play rough, Chris beating her was foreplay". What a crock of shit . Thats her business but its a strange time to be talking about that now after all that has happened.

Wonder how long it'll be before we move her to the "Celebrity Trainwrecks and Meltdowns" thread? Too bad.

It's happening in slow motion. She is still very young (21?). Where are her parents/aunts/uncles??? We learned from Britney Spears that you can't trust "handlers".

Yes, behold the power of the armpit tattoo. It looks like she has a loaded gun pointed at her right boob.

Is there a chance this is a photo-shop fake story?

Not according to the tatoo artist : Link

Artist: Why Rihanna Got a Gun Tattoo

Thursday March 26, 2009

http://www.myspace.com/bangbangtattoos

Buzz up!Why did Rihanna get a gun tattoo?

"We've been talking about the idea for a year," her tattoo artist, BangBang, tells Usmagazine.com of the ink, which he gave her last Thursday at her Hollywood mansion. "She had a necklace with a gun, and I love it. I was like, 'How about the gun?'"

"I printed it out, put it on her shoulders," BangBang continues. Although photos show the singer with a gun drawing on both shoulders, he only inked her right ribcage because "it took a little bit away from her face. She's so beautiful. That's not what we're going for!"

So why would Rihanna -- who was allegedly beaten by Chris Brown last month -- stick with such a violent design?

"It's powerful. It's protection. At least that's my interpretation of it," BangBang tells Us.

Rihanna flew the New York-based tattoo artist to L.A. for the day to ink "one of her friends for a birthday present," BangBang says, "But she wound up tattooing herself!"

Rihanna's quarter-sized tattoo "took about 15 minutes," BangBang says.

(It's not her first piece of body art: She has a collection of stars down her back, a music note on her ankle and a Pisces sign behind her right ear, as well as a star inside her left ear and the word "Shhh..." on her index finger.)

The whole time, Rihanna was "as happy as can be. She's really living her life really well. She's got great friends and great fans."

BangBang also gave Rihanna's best friend Melissa Forde heart and star body art.

"She's got the same gun on her hip," BangBang says. "They've got, like, four of the same tattoos. They love each other."

BangBang -- who's also inked producer/rapper Swizz Beatz -- works out of NYC's East Side Ink tattoo parlor.

Friends toast Rihanna’s breakup with Brown

A source tells RadarOnline that her friends are glad to see the couple apart

Access Hollywood

Rihanna held a private party at Giorgio’s restaurant in Los Angeles on Sunday, RadarOnline reported.

According to the site, the secret dinner found the star partying with girlfriends and a few members of her record label. Her guests reportedly offered a number of toasts, including one to her alleged split with Chris Brown, who is scheduled for an April 6 arraignment on charges of assault and criminal threats against Rihanna.

“People close to Rihanna have drilled it into her head that if she stays with Chris her career will be over,” a source told the site. “At the dinner party there were about 10 toasts made, including one to the fact she’s about to land the cover of a major fashion magazine.”

The party also reportedly celebrated the success of her single “Disturbia,” which has just gone triple platinum, as well as the star being “close to landing” a film role.

It wasn’t the first time Rihanna had been quietly out and about in L.A. in recent weeks — she was previously spotted having dinner at the same Santa Monica restaurant on March 7.

And as previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Rihanna stepped out for a belated birthday bash on March 10 at Hollywood hotspot Coco De Ville, a source inside the club previously confirmed to Access.

Rihanna? A role model? Absolutely not

Being a famous singer doesn’t qualify her as someone to be emulated

By Mark Harris

Entertainment Weekly

updated 3:13 p.m. PT, Wed., April 8, 2009

When my editor suggested that I write about Rihanna this week, I ran screaming in the other direction. (Well, not literally. Journalists aren't that physically active. But I did mope and overeat, which is like running and screaming without the sweat and noise.) My first instinct was that I would rather juggle sacks of used needles than try to say something about this repellent and depressing soap opera while it's still unfolding, chapter by sordid chapter.

On some level, I wanted to shove this aside, not pick it apart. For every question raised by reports about the Grammy-weekend abuse that Rihanna allegedly took at the hands of Chris Brown, there's an easy answer. Maybe too easy. What kind of pig hits a woman? Ummm ... a criminal. Or an overentitled celebrity. Or someone who grew up watching men hit women, as Brown has said he did. Pick the option that best matches your sense of misplaced sympathy or knee-jerk contempt. And what kind of woman gets back together with the man who hit her? A fool. Or someone who is so self-hating she thinks she had it coming or so in love she imagines it won't happen again. Or someone who might have grown up believing that it's no big deal. Choose your favorite rationalization as your stomach turns. And that's leaving out the considerable percentage of ugly commentary that reminds us that we're not such a ''post-racial'' nation after all.

What lessons should we draw from this? Okay, I'll play. Here's what they call the ''teachable moment'': Don't hit women. And don't give men who hit you a chance to hit you again, ever. But if we really need Rihanna and Chris Brown, or any celebrities at all, to teach us that, we are in seriously bad shape.

On the Internet, we are being told right and left that Rihanna is a role model for young women, the glib assumption being that she automatically agreed to don that mantle the moment she decided she wanted to be a successful recording artist. An ABC News website report called ''Rihanna: Role Model No More?'' quotes a 15-year-old girl as saying that Rihanna is ''not sending the right message to kids.'' Fox News also labels her a role model and says she deserves to lose her career if she doesn't do all she can to put Brown behind bars. On Yahoo! Answers, someone recently posted the question ''What kind of role model is Rihanna to woman [sic] if she takes back Chris Brown?''

While we're all immersed in blame-the-victim thinking, let's take a step back in the direction of collective sanity and stipulate for the record that, yes, Rihanna is officially a terrible role model. Wait, let's rephrase that. Alex Rodriguez is a terrible role model. Rihanna is just a young woman who is completely unqualified to be a role model. We might become a more compassionate nation of pop culture gossips if we started considering the difference.

Maybe we could all take a minute off from clucking ''Don't do it, girl!'' alongside Oprah to ask ourselves what on earth made any of us think Rihanna was a role model in the first place. She is a singer — after all, only a singer — who became famous as a teenager because a couple of years ago, she sang one song in which she found new and interesting things to do to the word umbrella, and another (''Don't Stop the Music'') in which she expressed her desire to blow off steam by going to a club and hooking up with a stranger. There's nothing wrong with that. The songs are catchy and sexy, she performed them well, and people liked them, so she became a big success. Good for her! She lived the American Idol dream and didn't even have to stand before the judges and make that most creepily self-absorbed of all American Idol arguments — the one that goes, I deserve this more than the next guy just because I want it soooo much. That line of thinking, by the way, probably deserves to be inscribed on the tombstone of this decade as it limps toward its interment.

But role model? Have we lost our minds? If we really think that being famous now automatically qualifies you as someone whose example should be imitated and followed by young people, then that can only mean we now believe that fame in itself represents a form of moral superiority. Or perhaps we're all just looking for new ways to beat up Rihanna and get away with it.

Some stories make everyone feel dirty. I hope this one goes away soon.

 Well she is not a role model to adults who have the ability to see these celebs for what they truly are. However, the sad fact is that she IS a role model to many children and teens. Even if you tell your children not to look up to these vapid little twits they still will.

Chris Brown's Lawyer Wants Rihanna Case Dismissed

Wednesday April 29, 2009

Chris Brown's lawyer says he wants the Rihanna case dismissed because of leaks. (In February, Los Angeles police launched an internal investigation to determine who released a picture that shows a bruised and battered Rihanna the night of the Feb. 8 attack.)

"The leaks can form the basis for a motion to dismiss the case in regards to outrageous governmental misconduct," attorney Mark Geragos told E! News outside of court Wednesday.

At the hearing, L.A. Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg also granted Geragos a delay in the case (Brown was not present).

The next hearing has been set for May 28. A judge then will decide whether there is enough evidence for the case to go to trial. A preliminary hearing is likely to begin in June.

But Brown -- who has pleaded not guilty to two felony counts (assault and making criminal threats) -- could reach a plea deal with prosecutors before then.

On Wednesday, Los Angeles Police Department also agreed to hand over three rings and a set of earrings obtained the night of the attack. Rihanna's lawyer, Donald Etra, had requested a judge's order for the items' return last week after the companies that loaned her them wanted them back.

BREAKING NEWS: Chris Brown Gets Five Years Probation for Beating Rihanna

Monday June 22, 2009

Chris Brown has reached a plea bargain in his felony assault case for beating Rihanna last February.

The singer, 20, will receive five years probation for felony assault. He'll also spend 180 days doing community labor in Virginia. He'll also home to Virginia, his home stage, his lawyer, Mark Geragos, announced in court.

Rihanna did not have to testify.

Brown arrived at a downtown Los Angeles court at 1:30 PDT this afternoon for the hearing. He was escorted inside the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center by eight uniformed officers and a bodyguard.

Brown -- who donned a gray striped suit, brown shoes and striped tie -- appeared solemn, according to a witness. His mother followed behind him. The duo were both looking down.

Rihanna -- who wore a black dress, sunglasses and pearls -- was present at court, but never entered the courtroom.

Brown turned himself into police in February for allegedly beating Rihanna. He was charged with two felonies.

Story developing.

Rihanna ‘Lets Success go to Her Head’

Rihanna has let success go to her head — and her mentor Jay-Z is furious, reports claim.

According to the National Enquirer magazine, the 99 Problems rapper is so fed up with the Umbrella hitmaker’s constant partying, he’s hired a bodyguard to watch over her.

“Jay has invested his heart and soul into transforming Rihanna into a superstar,” a source told the tabloid.

“But she’s been on a downward slide ever since the Chris Brown beating.

“He wants to keep an eye on Rihanna to make sure she doesn’t wind up in trouble. He’s unhappy that she appears to prefer partying to making music.”

Rihanna Debuts Her New Single

Rihanna told everyone recently that the wait is "ova", and Tuesday, it finally was.

She debuted Russian Roulette, the first single from her hotly anticipated album, Rated R, on Ryan Seacrest's show.

The soaring ballad follows a woman on the verge of taking a turn at the suicide game: You can see it thorugh my chest/That I'm terrified/But I'm not leaving/I know that I must pass this test/So just pull the trigger.

The song, which eerily ends with a gunshot, was written and produced by Ne-Yo, who also wrote her 2006 No. 1 hit Unfaithful and dueted with the Grammy-winning singer on the Top 10 smash Hate That I Love You. The video for the song is expected to premiere in prime-time on ABC.

Rated R, Rihanna's fourth album, drops November 23.

Rihanna Linked To Wannabe London

Pop beauty RIHANNA has found love with aspiring R&B singer TRAVIS LONDON, according to new U.S. reports.

The Umbrella hitmaker has been linked to a string of eligible bachelors since splitting from Chris Brown, following a much-publicised fight back in February (09), but sources tell Us Weekly magazine she has settled on London after they were introduced by her mentor, Jay-Z.

An insider reveals the pair has enjoyed a series of romantic rendezvous in Berlin, Germany - where Rihanna has been shooting her new album cover and video.

Rihanna ‘Gets Dating Tips From Jennifer Aniston’

RIHANNA has probably been getting some bad advice — singleton Jennifer Aniston has reportedly been giving her tips on men!

The Umbrella singer has apparently grown close to Brad Pitt’s ex-wife following Rihanna’s assault by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, who was given five years probation for the attack.

“Jen has her fair share of imperfect relationships but not one of those men was ever disrespectful to her physically,” said Aniston’s movie producer pal Ray Manzella.

“No one would dare lay a hand on her because they know they just couldn’t get away with it.

“Hopefully that will rub off on Rihanna. She needs someone who can set the example that no woman should be treated with anything less than respect. I think Jen’s the one to do that.”

Aniston, 40, recently revealed that she’s the “go-to girl” when her pals are in need.

“My friends come to me in tough times for advice,” she said. “I am the go-to girl a lot but I love that. I love helping friends.

“I’ve been the recipient of great information and advice and a giver of it but when you are in need I think you have got to show up — whether it’s to celebrate or to console or whatever. I think it’s about consistency, loyalty and honesty.”

Rihanna to Dish The Dirt on Chris Brown

RIHANNA is set to break her silence about her beating at the hands of ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

The Umbrella hitmaker — who was left battered and bruised after a fight with Brown in February this year — will dish the dirt during interviews on Thursday’s Good Morning America, and Friday’s 20/20.

A TV commercial promoting the shows on the ABC network boasts, “Now, for the very first time, Rihanna tells her story.”

Although Brown — who was sentenced to five years of probation, 180 days of community labor and a year of domestic violence classes for assaulting Rihanna last February — has publicly apologized for his “inexcusable” actions, she has not yet made any public statements about what happened.

The interview kicks off her promotional tour of Rihann’s eagerly anticipated fourth album, Rated R, which will be released Nov. 23.

Rihanna Loves Fatty foods

Rihanna demands pizza, fries and doughnuts in her dressing room.

The slender 'Umbrella' singer is set to perform in London next week and amazed organisers with her requests for her favourite calorific treats, which totalled more than 7,000 calories, and also included crisps, microwave lasagnes, friend noodles, chicken drumsticks - and an apple.

A show source said: "When it comes to the big US stars, we're used to getting ridiculously healthy requests. Rihanna was a breath of fresh air. There was none of this carb and gluten-free nonsense."

The 21-year-old-star - who will launch her new album 'Rated R' at the concert next Monday (16.11.09), which will be streamed around the world - refuses to watch her diet because she believes performing helps her stop piling on the pounds.

She said: "Being on tour gets you in shape which is good considering how I eat pretty much whatever I can get my hands on.

"You perform for an hour and a half so you can work some of it off at least. But not all of it!"

The Barbados-born singer also recently splashed out more than $50,000 to fly her family to New York to celebrate winning a Woman of the Year award from Glamour magazine on Monday night (09.11.09).

Rihanna Writes Attack Track

Rihanna sings about how she was assaulted by Chris Brown on her new album.

The Barbadian singer wrote 'Cold Case Love' about how she was attacked by then-boyfriend Chris Brown not long after the incident in February.

She said: "It was one of the first songs I did for the album and it is one of the most emotional."

Rihanna, 21, has also revealed she was desperate to get back into the recording studio after the assault, so she could concentrate on her career rather than what had happened to her.

The pop beauty explained: "When I was given time off in March it was a little crazy. Being at home was driving me mad.

"I couldn't go anywhere. It was, like, 'Look at the poor victim!' So I called my label and said, 'I'm ready.' "

The 'Russian Roulette' singer also recorded some of the LP, entitled 'Rated R', in London and admits she loves the UK capital.

Rihanna - who releases the album on November 26 - said: "We made a lot of the album in London. We took two big trips there and spent some time just figuring out the record.

"London is one of my favourite cities, it's where I get most of my creative energy."

Chris attacked Rihanna in his car as they left a pre-Grammy Awards party in February, repeatedly punching her in the face and biting her arms.

He pleaded guilty to assault and in August was sentenced to six months of community service, 12 months of domestic violence counselling and five years probation.

Rihanna Baffled By Barbed Wire Snap Outrage

Rihanna is shocked by the furor over her raunchy artwork for new track "Russian Roulette" - insisting the public should be used to seeing her dressed provocatively.

Rihanna's first single since her highly-publicized fight with Chris Brown in February features a saucy shot of the star posing in nothing but an eye-patch, barbed-wire around her breasts and a basque.

The "Umbrella" hitmaker is finding it hard to understand why people have been so shocked by the snap - but she's happy her tough new image is making waves.

She tells British radio station Key 103, "I don't know why people are so surprised that I'm scantily clad, I've always been scantily clad, I've always been that way.

"I definitely thought the barbed wire was cool, it was a symbol of strength but fearlessness all at once, that's why we used it.

"We took our time and wrapped that barbed wire around me. It took forever because we had to wrap it round the front of me - a certain area - a few times more than the rest of me so that it would cover the necessary."

Chris Brown Isn't Ready to Date – Yet

Chris Brown says he isn't quite ready to get back into the dating scene.

"I've been kinda chillin'," he tells MTV News. "I mean, I'm Chris Brown. I'm not saying it like that, but it's just, like, girls are gonna be around. I love women. But I would say I've just been chillin'. I haven't really been trying to get into a relationship or trying to date anybody. I've just kinda been working on me. Like I said, just really getting me straight."

After recent interviews in which Rihanna, 21, has described the assault, Brown maintains that, while he respects her right to speak out, he wishes she'd kept the matter private.

Though the couple reunited briefly after the incident, they've been ordered by a court to maintain their distance for five years.
