BRUSHING UP

PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Matthew McConaughey is as big on oral hygiene as he is about his buff bod, polishing up his pearly whites during another (shirtless) day in Malibu on Friday.

What's Matt Doing With His Toothbrush?

Posted Oct 2nd 2006 2:35PM by TMZ Staff

Posted Image

We all know Matt McConaughey is a bit eccentric and Friday was no different. The straggly bearded actor made his way out of his Malibu house with a toothbrush in his mouth and proceeded to brush them (sans water) as he made his way through LA.

But it wasn't so much the fact that he brushed his pearly whites while driving (hey -- we've all done it) but more importantly the way in which he performed the cleaning act.

Take a look and judge for yourself.

Matthew McConaughey's fitness DVD

4th October 2006 12:30:02

Matthew McConaughey is making a fitness DVD for men.

The 'Failure to Launch' actor has been training intensively to get in shape for the project and has even enlisted the help of some of his celebrity friends.

Matthew and cycling legend Lance Armstrong have been seen completing gruelling exercise sessions on Malibu beach to prepare for the shoot.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: Matt wants to create a lifestyle and fitness DVD for men. It will show how to get a killer surfer's body. That's why he has been working out so much. He couldn't provide a DVD giving you promises of an amazing physique if he was untoned himself."

The 36-year-old Texan has even asked housemate Lance, who won the Tour de France a record seven consecutive times, to appear in the project with him.

The source added: "Lance is the first of Matt's celebrity friends he is interviewing to get tips. He is hoping a couple more will get involved to help sell it."

SOURCE: http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/celebrity/Mat...+DVD-11898.html

This is quite possibly the gayest thing I've ever read on this board. Five bucks says that this video/DVD will be sold in every gay pornographic store in the country. He might actually be a success then!

LOL! Can we now, officially label him gay? :D I know there are still some people who don't want to believe it, despite the naked bongo incident with another dude.

McConaughey Commits to Football Film

AP

Matthew McConaughey says he immediately committed to a role in the upcoming film "We Are Marshall" after reading the script.

McConaughey plays coach Jack Lengyel, who took over the Marshall University football team after a plane crash killed 75 players, coaches and community members in November 1970.

"There's two scripts I've read in my career I've made 37 films that as soon as I finished the last page, I said, 'I'm in, no matter what,'" McConaughey said Wednesday.

He named "We Are Marshall" and his first film, 1993's "Dazed and Confused."

"I finished the script and I couldn't get it off my mind," he said of "We Are Marshall." "I had emotions that I haven't had in a while. I didn't know this story."

The film tells the story of the football program's rebuilding.

Lengyel was hired in March 1971, four months after the team's chartered jet crashed into a hill short of Tri-State Airport in rain and fog.

Lengyel oversaw a patchwork quilt of players. There were three dozen walk-ons former servicemen, a soccer player, basketball players and transfer students.

They joined the few returning players who were not on the plane and a group of freshmen who were not allowed to play the previous fall due to NCAA restrictions.

TEAM SPIRIT

Matthew McConaughey and director McG (left) get pumped up at a Central Florida-Marshall University football game Wednesday in Huntington, W. Va. The pair's new film, We Are Marshall, is based on the real-life story of a 1970 plane crash that killed many of the players from the Marshall U. football team.

I always thought the whole training thing with the Three Amigos was nothing more than exercise for film roles and to get fit after time off (for some of them). I think they genuinely like to hang out and I could still see a Lance Armstrong film in the future. Maybe not yet though.

McConaughey and Armstrong: "We're Not Gay"

Matthew McConaughey and Tour De France winner Lance Armstrong have laughed off rumours they are gay and insist they're nothing more than great friends. The two, along with pal Jake Gyllenhaal, were frequently photographed together this summer - often shirtless - biking, running and partying. The pair's close bond even sparked a new term - a "bro-mance." McConaughey addresses the rumors in the new issue of Details magazine joking, "We tried it (being gay). It wasn't for us." The two Austin, Texas, natives had known each other for eight years, and really began to bond when they both found themselves back on the dating scene at the same time. McConaughey, 36, had broken up with actress Penelope Cruz, while Armstrong, 35, had called off his engagement to singer Sheryl Crow. Armstrong explains, "Our relationship just kind of developed. He got out of a relationship; I'd just gotten out of a relationship. We all have those kinds of relationships - and relationship isn't a bad word. I mean, we all have buds, we all take guy trips, but you take something very normal and you put it in a magazine, and people start talking." McConaughey adds, "A lot of people don't understand friendship and brotherhood. I have a great friend in him. It's fun going out and living life and doing things at the drop of a hat." Armstrong insists the actor's laid-back lifestyle has been a good influence on him - especially when it comes to tabloid gossip. He adds, "His idea is like, 'Look, it is what it is, so go out there and have fun.' He's truly carefree - which is to say, he truly doesn't care."

Lance Armstrong & Matthew McConaughey: We're Not Gay

By Stephen M. Silverman

Lance Armstrong and Matthew McConaughey are laughing off questions about their sexuality and rumors that they're anything more than just pals.

"We tried it. Wasn't for us," McConaughey jokes to Details magazine in a new interview that addresses rumors about them – and pal Jake Gyllenhaal – being gay.

Armstrong says his newly-close relationship with McConaughey grew out of the fact that they were both suddenly single at the same time. McConaughey had broken up with actress Penelope Cruz and Armstrong had called off his engagement to singer Sheryl Crow.

"Our friendship just kind of developed," the cycling champ tells the magazine for its November issue. "He got out of a relationship; I'd just gotten out of a relationship."

Armstrong, who has known McConaughey for eight years, stresses that despite the raised-eyebrows they've gotten due to photos of them – often shirtless – biking, running and partying together, they are just buddies.

"I think people see pictures and they think we're these overgrown frat guys, but we all have those kinds of relationships – and relationship isn't a bad word," says Armstrong. "I mean, we all have buds, we all take guy trips, but you take something very normal and you put it in a magazine, and people start talking. "

He goes on to say, "It's like, either you sleep with anything that moves or you're gay. They can't figure it out."

McConaughey goes further to defend their relationship saying, "A lot of people don’t understand friendship and brotherhood. I have a great friend in him. I’d do anything he asked me to, even though he’d probably never ask me to, and he feels the same way. It’s fun going out and living life and doing things at the drop of a hat. LiveStrong just happens to be the most deliberate guy I’ve ever met."

Armstrong, 35, calls McConaughey, 36, the "Redneck Buddha," and says the actor's laid back style has been a good influence on him – especially when it comes to gossip. "His idea is like, 'Look, it is what it is, so go out there and have fun.' He’s truly carefree – which is to say, he truly doesn't care."

The seven time Tour de France winner also admits in the interview that he hasn't quite yet recovered from his split from Crow, especially the public's reaction. "We couldn't get it right, we couldn't get it wrong," he says. "Just a lot of back-and-forth. But we had a love for each other, and I think we still do."

Hmm, funny that it's never bothered him when US Weekly, National Enquirer, Star etc, tattles about affairs with females and endless hookups that almost always prove to be untrue. Seems like he's only just noticed people gossip!

I think this really is terrified PR at work. Matt and Lance probably aren't bothered what people say about them but their 'people' might well be. Hence this pile of baloney.

I especially love the 'We're Not Gay' heading and constant references to 'we/us' which makes them sound like a married couple.

Matthew McConaughey Declined Threesome With Twins Because He Feared Bad Karma

November 6, 2006 7:23 a.m. EST

Maira Oliveira - All Headline News Reporter

Los Angeles, CA (BANG) - It's not worth living with a guilty conscience for a few minutes of pleasure, according to one star, because it can "return and bite you in the a**."

Matthew McConaughey recently revealed he once turned down a threesome with two sisters because he didn't want bad karma.

The "Sahara" actor - who has dated a host of Hollywood beauties including Sandra Bullock, Ashley Judd and Penelope Cruz - refused to have sex with the two women because they were both already taken and he didn't want any spiritual comeuppance from the romp.

He revealed to Loaded magazine, "Two sisters once offered themselves to me. But they weren't single and one wanted to get away from her husband. I don't jive with that. You don't sleep with someone's lady if they're married because it will return and bite you in the a**."

McConaughey also believes honesty is the key to any successful relationship.

He added, "I hide nothing. If you hide something and the relationship starts going good, whatever you're hiding, it's coming out. Better to get it all out on the table and say, 'That's what you're getting man.'"

I couldn't help noticing a few things in this decidedly heteroheralding statement from Matty macBongo.

It logically follows on that quite often after there's a flurry of gay internet gossip about this man - including blind item chatter all over the place, you get the above sort of statements, released for no apparent newsworthy reason.

That stunt double is actually good looking and masculine. I think they should trade places and stupid bongo boy could just exercise all day and do stunts and we wouldn't have to see him or any more dopey exercise photos...he is SO overrated.

McConaughey's Wet & Wild Makeout Night

Posted Jan 16th 2007 12:53PM by TMZ Staff

Matthew McConaughey definitely isn't taking his time in Australia lightly. The sweaty playboy has been seen getting hot and heavy with numerous girls since heading to Queensland to film his latest movie, "Fool's Gold."

Matty added one more lady to his harem yesterday, when he was photographed going buckwild with a local "sheila" at an Irish bar. The two sucked face while "dancing" to a live local band.

Observers said that the actor was surrounded by females all through the night, but was selective about who he would allow himself to be photographed with, until finally, after hours of partying, McConaughey and an unknown brunette called it an evening and headed out around 3 AM ... to get a "kebab."

Hudson and McConaughey Escape Deadly Jellyfish

Hollywood stars Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey had to be evacuated from the set of their new movie when a deadly jellyfish was found on set. The couple were shooting romantic adventure Fool's Gold in Queensland, Australia when the Irukandji jellyfish was spotted nearby, forcing the cast and crew to vacate the area until the venomous creature was disposed of. Hudson's publicist, Fiona Searson says, "We have a marine expert to ensure everyone's safe and he found the jellyfish. It's an unusual problem to come across. Only in Australia, I suppose." The Irukandji jellyfish has been described by experts as one of the most deadly creatures alive, despite being about the size of a peanut.
