Scarlett Johansson Is Playboy's Fave

In a poll of its readers, Playboy sought to find the top 25 Sexiest Celebrities and Scarlett Johansson can thank her lucky boobies stars that she was chosen for the number one spot on the list.

Beating out some stiff competition from Pamela Anderson, Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba and Beyonce Knowles, Scarlett's combination of pouty lips, full cleavage and gravelly voice ultimately won over readers. According to the magazine:

"Scarlett Johansson is the apex of beauty and sensuality - from her porcelain skin to her fully feminine figure to her mysterious charisma, which is at once palpable and indefinable."

OMG, I finally get it. Men like women who are BEAUTIFUL. It's all so clear to me know what I've been doing wrong, in terms of my interaction with the opposite sex...

She is alright, I think she gets so much media attention because she has curves. That's about it. When she can sell a movie on her own without any other big stars in it she will have more bragging rights

I must be one of the only people in the world who doesn't see her beauty.

I think sometimes in the RIGHT LIGHT with the perfect lens, she can be quite lovely. With her nose at the wrong angle, she is a little less beautiful. I think she's getting so much press because she grew those beautiful knockers herself, and isn't skeletal thin. I hope she stays the level headed young lady she seems to be.

We can't all be perfect!

JOHANSSON: I LOOK LIKE A BOY

10/03/2007

SHE'S one of Hollywood's most sought-after women but Scarlett Johansson says: "I think I look kind of like a boy. I mean, not my body, obviously."

The 22-year-old clearly doesn't see her likeness to Marilyn Monroe, whom she calls her idol. She says: "I love her. She had a fragility about her work that is so touching."

Someone hand her a mirror!

I like her looks, like her acting and her attitude (so far as I can tell through the media). She's beautiful, but her face is not classically beautiful in its proportions, and apparently she knows it.

Over the years I've read about facial proportions a few times; I recall that even babies prefer a certain kind of face. One that looks like this:

I think Scarlett's face deviates from that standard in some significant ways. Maybe that's why some people don't see her beauty.

Scarlett Johansson owes her film success to her mum

By ANI

Washington, Mar 16 (ANI):

Actress Scarlett Johansson owes her film success to her mother, who has helped the actress' career, with her vast knowledge on films.

The 22-year-old said that her mother, an avid film watcher, has seen every single movie possible "My mother has seen every single movie ever made, ever," Contactmusic quoted Johansson, as saying.

The 'Lost in Translation' star added that her mum helps her in all her projects, and that she cannot work on her films without her mother's guidance. "She helps me with every movie.

I couldn't do this without her, " she said.

Meanwhile after her parent's divorce, instead of being left devastated, Johansson chose to gear up the reigns of her life when her parents made the deadly announcement about their break-up to her.

She admits their divorce helped make her the successful young woman she has become.

The sexy actress' parents called off their marriage when their daughter was just 13.

Scarlett Johansson on Woody Allen: I'd Hem His Pants

By Stephen M. Silverman

Scarlett Johansson has dated Jared Leto and Josh Hartnett, but her heart belongs to a slightly older man: Her Match Point director Woody Allen.

"I'd sew the hems of his pants if he asked me to," the actress, 22, says in the April issue of Vogue.

Allen, 71, in turn describes Johansson as "criminally sexy," telling the magazine: "While she is a much stronger actress in every way, there is a tiny bit of Marilyn Monroe in her zaftig humidity."

Though Johansson – whose new movie The Nanny Diaries opens April 20 – plays Justin Timberlake's love interest in his "What Goes Around" video, she again denies rumors that they were ever an item.

"Of course it's not true," Johansson tells interviewer Alessandra Stanley. "We had fun together, but it's not like the first time I've ever hung out with him."

Speculating on how the rumors about them got started in the first place, Johansson says, "I think this happens because we're both single and in the spotlight, and obviously Justin's a very high-profile person."

Am I being too snarky if I say I don't think Scarjo looks as beautiful as she usually does on this months cover of Vogue?

Too snarky? I'm sorry, are you new to this Board?? :D

I haven't liked the past few Vogue covers--they all make the women look worse than they do in other photos--Jennifer Hudson, Sandra Oh, Scarlett.....What's up with Anna these days????

Maybe they fired their Photo retoucher and this is how they really look?

Here comes my usual blowhard overanayltical know-it-all crap. :P

I've been thinking for a while that Vogue maybe has made a conscious decision to start using cover portraits that have a lot of graphic impact, or that at least look unusual, and it just so happens that those are often less flattering to their subjects than we're used to. The basis for this choice could be a desire for Vogue covers to stand out in magazine displays, and it might be backed up by marketing studies showing what kind of covers potential readers pay attention to.

Fire the retoucher? Not in a million. At least not without an instantaneous replacement. Oh, and now that I think about it, just one retoucher? I imagine there are several, if not a squadron.

Squirrel--yes, I assumed the decisions were made based on some sort of "artistic" merit. I just don't happen to like it or agree with it <_<

Well, I don't really agree w/ it either ... I meant to imply that it's not based on what looks good but on what they think will sell. Not artistic values, esp. when the covers seem drastically different in tone from the mag's contents. :(

It's kind of obvious they were going for an old-Hollywood type feel (look at the style of the bathing suit, etc) for Ms. ScarJo. She looks best when not globbing on the make-up and acting like she stepped out of a time-portal from the 50s.

But she's hot, so I forgive.

Wait For 'nanny'

WE'RE going to have to wait for "The Nanny Diaries," starring Scarlett Johansson and Laura Linney. The movie version of the best-seller book was originally slated for release next month, and the folks at Weinstein Company swear it's in the can and ready for release. But now it's being pushed back to September. "It's better for awards consideration," said an insider. "This is a better plan." The producers are hoping to win a Golden Globe for Best Comedy after premiering the picture at a prestigious film festival. Our sources are betting it bows at the Venice fest at the end of August.

Scarlett Johansson's nude ban

Scarlett Johansson is insisting on a no-nudity clause in all her movie contracts.

The curvaceous 22-year-old is determined to be seen as a serious actress and now won't commit to any role without the clause.

A source is quoted by Britain's Daily Express newspaper as saying: "Scarlett is still very young and is aware the roles she takes are going to set out where her career as an actress takes her in the future.

"She doesn't want to fall into being too controversial or too trashy so nude scenes are out for now."

However, Scarlett may have to rethink her naked stance if she lands the role of adult film superstar Jenna Jameson in a movie about her life.

The 'Lost In Translation' star has reportedly been singled out by the X-rated actress to play her in a film movie adaptation of her autobiography 'How To Make Love Like A Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale'.

Jenna said: "We're looking at Scarlett Johansson. She's my choice. I think she's beautiful."

Scarlett is also said to be very keen on the role and is even hoping it could pave the way for Oscar glory.
