Eddie Murphy brought Scary Spice and her 7-year-old daughter to his annual family vacation with his five kids in Hawaii last month, suggesting the two are getting very serious about their relationship.

 

During the weeklong trip in late August, the party of eight bonded while lounging poolside in private cabanas and dining out together at the island's branch of Spago. Says one onlooker: "There was a lot of togetherness between the families." At a Fourth of July BBQ Murphy hosted at his Beverly Hills home, the pair "were very loving and cute together," says a source. And Murphy recently escorted Brown to his favorite haunt, L.A.'s Laugh Factory, where "they were very cozy," says a witness. The British singer is spending more time at her L.A. house to be close to the actor. "(Eddie) seems very happy with her, and that's what's important to me," says Murphy's big brother Charlie. "He's in a good place. If she does that (for him), then that's great."

 

It's hard to go anywhere but up after being caught picking up a transvestite hooker but it seems Eddie Murphy has still somehow managed to screw that up. If you want to quash rumors you're into women with penises you don't go out and hook up with Scary Spice. That's like trying to convince your friends you don't like doing it with porcupines and then introducing them to your new hedgehog girlfriend. Scary Spice was married to - and quickly divorced from - a very very very gay-seeming backup dancer. Maybe she enjoys being a merkin.

Trouble is I think you have to ease people into accepting it over time, like in the way Lance Bass did, he did it over time. Fans were aware of it and when the announcement came it wasn't such a shock for most.

 

For Eddie to do this if he is would go against all the PR that's been invested in him at this point in time.

Lance Bass was basically only really well known in the US. So (hypothetically let's say) Perez 'outs' him over several months and people (those that like him) get used to the idea even if they don't agree with it. When the announcement came at least people had had time to adjust.

 

Eddie Murphy is a worldwide renowed funnyman with a million times more appeal. Everyone knows his face. Now if Eddie came out it would be more of a shock because so many more people in the world would not expect it coming. He's just been marketed as a married man with tons of kids for a very long time. In world terms only a small percentage of people know or care about Johnny Gill, that Eddie's even divorced from his wife, and most would still I imagine link Eddie to his family man image. That's why I think it'd be harder for him. And proving the point look at him, teaming up with Scary Spice. He's hardly moving an all-embracing same sex direction no matter what people think he's up to with Gill.

 

Me personally I have no idea which way he swings although to me it seems obvious his PR people are working very hard for him right now.

After months of intense media speculation, US funnyman Eddie Murphy has finally confirmed his romance with British singer Melanie B. The silver screen veteran has reportedly been dating the former Spice Girl for over three months, but until now he has remained studiously tight-lipped about the relationship.

 

The renowned comic made his revelations during a business meeting in Beverly Hills. "I am madly in love with Mel," he said, "but there are no wedding plans."

 

Melanie is believed to have started dating the American actor three months ago. Reports stateside say the two decided to have each other's names tattooed on their bodies just days after their first encounter.

 

Eddie divorced his wife Nicole, with whom he has five children, in April this year. His new girlfriend meanwhile has a seven-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi, from her marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar.

Melanie B has been spotted on a date with a mystery man just two weeks after Eddie Murphy declared his love for her.

 

The former Spice Girl spent time cosying up to an unknown partner at the Electric Cinema in London, before leaving the club at 2.30am and linking arms with the man as they departed.

 

A source told the News of the World: "Eddie will be fuming at this and I wouldn't be surprised if it's all over.

 

"Mel saw the photographers and panicked. She was swearing and said ‘This picture is going to cause me so much trouble, please don't sell it'."

 

An onlooker added: "Mel and the man were focused entirely on each other and looked like a couple. I guess it could be innocent if he was a very close friend - but it doesn't look good."

 

Melanie started dating Eddie in June after they were introduced by mutual friends in Los Angeles.

Well...Agreed, maybe he does enjoy being a Father...Yet another reason he probably should stay in the closet. If he did decide to come out...Like some on this board might insinuate that he should...Think of the harm/damage it would do to his kids, publicly and privately.

Lol, of course. You don't stop being human do you? Whether you're gay or straight most people have a natural affection for children and enjoy being parents whatever their orientation. I'd say given that he has about seven kids already (and possibly twins on the way if the story is true) he likes being a parent very much!
