annabeast 24 Report post Posted April 9, 2009 Oh Gawd, why? It's great to have a hot bod, but to prance around in a bikini at this age, to POSE for pictures, is just so low-brow. I'd be far more impressed if she got a slinky, form fitting designer dress and ridiculously expensive shoes, and rocked the look with some mystery. Then I'd think "wow." This picture is gross. George Clooney can walk around with his shirt off so I'm all for Kathy walking around in a two piece. They did shop her face though.... it looks better. Hoyaheel 1,874 Report post Posted April 9, 2009 I adore Kathy Griffin, and I think her body is very nice (and I know she worked hard at it--I've seen her show ) BUT I think that picture has just a bit more than a dash of "female bodybuilder" to it and it's very unappealing to me for that reason.... When you brought up Valerie's name it reminded me of how wonderful she looked in her suit----I didn't think you were saying anything negative about her (but even if you were, that's cool too of course-you're entitled to your opinion). These women aren't much younger than me and I think they look great. I don't know how much plastic surgery either has had, but I like seeing older women looking good. Even Anderson (Cooper, her co-host) thinks it's time to say goodbye to Kathy," a CNN insider tells me. Not only did the potty-mouthed redhead drop the F bomb on live TV, she also made not-so-funny jokes about needing a "bump" of cocaine and asked Cooper if he pleasured himself while looking in the mirror. As sexy as the Silver Fox is ... that's just too much, Kathy. Even worse than the comedienne's desperate need to shock was the fact that the show was a ratings bomb, as it fell far behind the family-friendly 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve' on ABC. Griffin was escorted on stage on Friday by Playgirl model Levi Johnston, who fathered a child with Palin's oldest daughter and is involved in a child support battle with Bristol Palin. Griffin said she spent a day ice fishing with Johnston in Wasilla, and was surprised when 19-year-old Levi's friend brought along a camera — but only to photograph the fish they caught. Griffin helped Johnston's celebrity star to rise, taking the aspiring actor to an awards show last year as her date. While in Wasilla, Griffin said she also went to Palin's home. There she left a note, inviting Palin to Friday's performance. She asked the crowd to look around and see if anyone was doing a pageant wave. Griffin said John McCain picked Palin to be his running mate on the Republican ticket after "talking to her for 10 minutes." Of Palin's monologue this week on "The Tonight Show," Griffin only promised the audience she would never try to be a mayor. Griffin also claimed Palin is a "gift that keeps on giving." Griffin welcomed news that Palin is trying to shop a reality show or docudrama about Alaska. She called that a "gift from God." Griffin is in Anchorage to coincide with Saturday's start of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. In her new book, Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According To Kathy Griffin, the TV star described how she nearly expired following an operation to reduce the size of her stomach. “I want women to know that this is what lipo looks like. Like, are you sure you don’t want to just work out a little more,” she says. “What I can’t figure out is why I wasted time worrying about my looks. I am a comedian. I’m not on the runway in Milan. “Believe it or not, people don’t come to see me really thinking I’m going to look like Jenifer Aniston.” GriffIn also described getting a nose job at age 26. “I was told repeatedly, ‘You would be pretty if it weren’t for that nose,” she said. “You’d work more if it weren’t for that nose. Hey have you considered getting a nose job?’ You would think I had a nose the size of Texas. I was young and impressionable and I was told that enough that I started to believe it, so I got a nose job.” Griffin also became obsessed with her weight, and tried diet pills and even speed. “I am very proud of my two weeks on speed,” she jokes. “It was full-on illegal speed. I'm told that the outspoken funnylady has been spending some serious time with—ready for this?—Isaiah Mustafa. Yup, the Old Spice Guy! Have things actually turned romantic between the two? Read on to find out... A source tells me that Griffin and Mustafa first met months ago. Maybe it was back in August at the Creative Arts Emmys, where they did a joint interview on the red carpet with our own Kristin Dos Santos? Not longer after that, Griffin tweeted a pic of the two of them with the post reading, "A gift from me 2 u. Here I am with the super hot Old Spice Guy. Feel free to photoshop ur face over mine." Our source says they started spending more time together within the last month or so. The source wouldn't describe the relationship as "romantic," but says, "They're getting to know each other."
