poofball 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2006 Is her cd ever coming out? They've been talking about it for about 2 years now. Sweet Jesus, I hope not. She is such a ho with attitude and absolutely no talent whatsoever to back it up.
soho2chelsea 3 Report post Posted May 27, 2006 Is it just me or is she finally putting on a little weight finally?? I have noticed that too lately. I think she looks better. I think she is another butterface candidate. Face not attractive but her figure is looking good lately. Speaking of which, thank god her bathing suit fell down, we had all been waiting to finally see her nipples. Again. Seriously Paris, we've all seen enough of you. Numerous times. Try to keep it covered.

princess 1,715 Report post Posted May 31, 2006 TV Guide.com "Paris Hilton Plans Reggae, Hip-Hop Album" Is that the scariest newswire headline you've ever seen or what? And yet it is true. Paris Hilton has revealed to the Hong Kong magazine Prestige that her forthcoming album will boast a mix of reggae, pop and hip-hop. "I want to have something for everybody," she says, ostensibly referring to the CD but perhaps allowing a glimpse into her dating strategy as well. Paris' album features a remake of Rod Stewart's "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" as well as a reggae tune titled "Stars Are Blind," soon to be known as "I Wish My Ears Were Deaf." cutielb55 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2006 Perez has her single, "Stars Are Blind", up on his website today. No download required to be able to listen. Hate it (bubble-gum pop), but I must say, her voice is not as bad as I thought it would be. Oh god... was that somewhat nice? I'm feeling sick...
soho2chelsea 3 Report post Posted June 4, 2006 I just listened to it too. It's not horrible. I'm TOTALLY shocked. Here's the link http://www.perezhilton.com/topics/paris_hi...03.php#comments For the record I still find her disgusting and I'm still not sure she has talent but someone packaged that song pretty well. I don't think we'll be seeing the last of her for awhile. *sigh*
wr2003 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2006 me too...i dont want to admit i like it...but it is sort of stuck in my head(Yes, I am cowering in embarassment)but the girl cannot dance. so her "live" performances should be fun to see
MissPip 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2006 I agree the song is well "packaged", but I genuinely think that's all it has going for it. Throw anyone in a room with a bunch of experienced producers, songwriters, and computer editing equipment, and lo and behold - you've got yourself a radio-ready single. Nowadays, it doesn't take talent. If you listen closely to Paris's vocals you can tell they are processed, layered over one another to sound fuller than they are, and essentially just low, breathy speak-singing. If I try to sing in the same style, I can sing better than she can, and trust me, I am the first to admit that I have a very weak voice! Having said that, it is well-produced and catchy, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was a hit. I just can't stand the idea that anyone listening to this would take it to mean Paris was actually talented, when to me it just seems that the only thing she has going for her is her ability to employ people who are better at what they do than she is at what she (barely) does. I just had to vent there for a minute....

I just had to vent there for a minute....Oh MissPip, amen!! I agree with all you said, definitely.I hate Paris (she is maybe my second most hated celebrity, after Tom Cruise) and I don't think she has talent. But, I was just totally surprised that her song was this proficient. I was expecting something K-Fed like in terribleness. Agree, though, that the only reason it sounds passable is the way it was packaged. I also think it totally, TOTALLY rips off both Gwen Stefani (vocal style, reggae backbeat thing) and Blondie (is it just me or is the melody a lot like the Tide is High?)Anyway, totally agreed and I share in your rant. No way will I be listening to Paris anytime soon I was just kinda shocked it sounded as decent as it did since I had been expecting something way way worse that would hopefully get her laughed off the pop culture radar for good. I guess we will have to wait a little longer for that to happen, though. Grumble, grumble Edited June 5, 2006 by soho2chelsea
MissPip 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 (edited) I totally understand, Soho. I guess I just wasn't as surprised about how the song turned out, because I think the difference between Paris and K-Fed is that Paris is at least business-savvy enough to suspect that if she wants to be a commercial success, she had better have as little to do with her songs as possible, whereas K-Fed seems much more adamant about saturating his music with his own crappy Kevin Federline-ness. I agree it sounds like it's a Gwen/Blondie rip-off. The singing definitely struck me as a bad Gwen Stefani impersonation. I can't say whether the tune is like Tide is High, because I only listened to Paris's song once, and my mind seems to have blocked it out despite it's catchiness. It is too bad that her song isn't awful enough to warrant her being flung out of the spotlight. Unfortunately, at this point, I don't know what it would take for people to lose interest in Paris.EDIT: Oops, I spoke too soon. The song just popped into my head. soho2chelsea 3 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 Yes. You are right. She does know how to surround herself with good businesspeople. And your point about K-Fed is good (and funny, LOL!)I just want her to gooooooo awayyyyyyyyy..... when will this long national nightmare be over???
princess 1,715 Report post Posted June 6, 2006 Just heard for the first time, link to video here. Nice safe pop song, even the video is to forumula. I say she'll actually do pretty well with this song.
stilllovewestley 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2006 Can I just plead with those of you who have pre-teen and teenage daughters to BAN them from buying this cd? It's the only hope to get rid of Paris; not that you can get rid of an STD like her (pun intended), but help us minimize the exposure. Please.
bittermuch? 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2006 Damned song is so damned catchy that it was burned in my brain all night. The funny thing, though, is that even the editing in the video can't disguise the fact that Paris has absolutely no rhythym - girl cannot dance to save her life, which is funny considering all the table dancing she's done over the past few years. I had to punch boyfriend when he observed that her single "sounded like that girl from No Doubt."
Erratic 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2006 I heard on the radio this morning they had to layer another voice over hers to hit the notes and make her sound better.
pinkdiamondgrl 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2006 Maybe I am missing something here, but well produced as it may be,I personally find the song hideously cheesy and the video totally cliche. And its NOT only because I can't stand this woman.

Galestorm 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2006 My, my..... I thought the song was really good, catchy, surprised about her voice, even though I know its digitally enhanced, even I could sing as well, ahem. The video, or vildo, is an exercise video for strippers and porno actresses, I didn't know there was so many motions and positions that could last four minutes.
