(MSNBC.COM)McCarthy turns new page with divorceReed Saxon / AP fileJenny McCarthy's happy book about marriage had to be rethought after she filed for divorce. MSNBCUpdated: 3:08 a.m. ET Aug. 30, 2005Jenny McCarthy was writing a light-hearted book about marriage — until her divorce. The former pin-up penned a book called “Marriage Laughs” and a source says she had just sold the humorous, how-to guide for $1 million. “Jenny was deliriously in love with her husband and her book, which is hilarious, was going to be a [part of a] series about marriage,” says a source. “Jenny was going to be the spokeswoman for a generation of young, sassy, married women. But just as the contract was being signed, Jenny filed for divorce.” “Irreconcilable differences” were cited in McCarthy’s split from her husband of six years, John Asher, who directed her in the film “Diamonds.” The book, however, will survive — in a different form. It will be published this spring by Dutton. “They’re changing the name to ‘Life Laughs: The Naked Truth From the Front Line,’” says the source. "The humor is still there, but some of the subject material is being changed — obviously.”

Yeah, but I wonder what he could have done that was so bad. I mean, if you're madly in love with your husband and he does something rotten, don't you stick it out for a while? It seems to have soured terribly quickly...

I know, it kind of reminds me of the Charlie Sheen/Denise Richards sudden split. Neither of them has confirmed any reason, but everything I've read points to his cheating as the cause.

(Rush/Mulloy)McCarthy abuzz with excitementTrash-talking eye candy Jenny McCarthy is running her mouth again. The 32-year-old blond bombshell - who filed for divorce last month from her husband of six years, movie director John Asher - told Lowdown not to believe gossip that she's doing the nasty with Jim Carrey."I've met Jim once, and that was about it," she confided at Wednesday's party for Asher's raunchy comedy "Dirty Love," which McCarthy wrote. "Usually the rumor of who I'm with lasts a couple weeks. Right now they're moving up in tiers, in levels, so I'm really happy that it's become A-level. I was at Steve-O [of 'Jackass' infamy], then Tommy Lee, then Carson Daly; so now I'm at Jim Carrey."And of those fantasy bedmates, whom would she actually sleep with?"Probably just Jim," McCarthy said at the Chelsea nightspot Cain. "But there's not going to be a rebound guy. All I know is, I've become best friends with my vibrator. And that's what I plan on getting sex from. Invest in Duracell! I go through a lot of batteries."Just like professed vibrator enthusiast Eva Longoria of "Desperate Housewives"?"Ah, she's getting [sex], who are we kidding?" McCarthy retorted. From whom? Throwing back her head, McCarthy cackled: "Everyone!"But Longoria's PR rep wasn't laughing yesterday."That couldn't be further from the truth," the rep responded. "Eva's been in a long-term relationship with [NBA star] Tony Parker for quite some time now. She's an extremely loyal, one-man type of girl."McCarthy's rep - a desperate publicist - tried to talk Lowdown out of using the quote after fielding bitter complaints from Team Longoria. Then the flack offered: "She meant getting [sex] from everyone on the show."

She is one day older than me...same year.

Anyhoo...if her husband cheated he is an idiot. He is nothing at all in the looks dept. compared to her.

Here is a story....

McCARTHY BEGS HER MUM TO QUIT JANITOR JOB

Former Playboy pin-up-turned actress JENNY McCARTHY is begging her mother to give up her job as a janitor because she can afford to offer her a life of luxury.

The model-turned-actress hates the thought of her mum cleaning toilets in the courthouse where she works, and she thinks it's about time she became a lady of leisure.

McCarthy says, "She a custodian in a courthouse and I have begged her - I'm like, `Mom, I'll give you the $100 a week. Please.

"When I go visit her, she's cleaning the bathroom, she's sweeping... She says, `Why would I quit?'"

She better offer more than 100 dollars a week though.....if she wants her mom to quit.....

McCarthy Stunned by See-Through Dress

Former Playboy pin-up Jenny McCarthy is still mortified she wore a

see-through dress to last month's World Music Awards in Los Angeles, because

it took event photographers to reveal her fashion faux pas.

The buxom blonde thought she was standing out in her vintage black Moschino

dress, but once the flashbulbs went off, McCarthy realized she might as well

have been topless.

She says, "It was a dress I had for like 12 years in my closet. I put it on,

the flashbulbs are going off and people are going, 'Psst, do you know it's

see-through?' What are you gonna do?"

But the star is relieved her fake breasts stayed in her dress, and she

didn't suffer a public fall-out like Tara Reid did at rap mogul Diddy's

birthday party last year.

McCarthy adds, "At least it's not a Tara Reid moment -- my implant scars are

covered."

(thesun.uk.co)Jen's dating traumas By SUN ONLINE REPORTEREX-PLAYBOY star Jenny McCarthy is having a tough time dating in Los Angeles - because the men in the city are too vain. In August, the blonde beauty filed for divorce from film-maker John Mallory Asher after almost six years of marriage, and she now finds getting back into the dating scene very difficult. She told People magazine: "It's scary. I look out in LA and see what's out there and go to parties and you're like: 'Oh my God, these men have more make-up on than me. They have more hair gel on their hair than me!'"I'm taking it very slow, I'll say that."Jenny is also taking things slowly to protect her three-year-old son Evan. She added: "I won't let anybody in my house for a while. He's my first priority."

Page SixBLONDE ON BLONDEPORN queen Jenna Jameson dropped by the Sirius studios the other morning and had Howard Stern listeners hot and bothered when she told of her Sapphic session with fellow blond bombshell Jenny McCarthy. McCarthy, who recently divorced husband John Asher, had only played a lesbian on film until last year. "We're hosting a Halloween party at the Hard Rock," Jameson recalled, "and afterward the two of us went into a secluded booth . . . Jenny kicked back . . . and I'm just, like, 'Oh, here we go. It's on . . .' and she was great!"

Book SquirmDalton Ross reveals the naked truth about Jenny McCarthy's new book. Charter readers of The Glutton (may God have mercy on your souls) will remember my very first column consisted of me having to take my son to an Ice Age 2 birthday party and subsequently freaking out over the saturation of irreverent talking-animal CGI films. Well, this past weekend he was invited to another movie birthday party involving more computer-generated critters, this time in Over the Hedge. However, I learned from my mistake, and decided to drop him off instead of sitting through it and driving myself cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs. (Of course, this meant walking around in a New Jersey mall for a few hours, so I suppose it was a case of pick your poison.)In any event, the wife, daughter, and I instead browsed through Target for a while (purchases included a cheese grater, Dora sneakers, and a big box of Dreft) and then went for our first ever meal at a Chevys (the chips and salsa were so good I almost forgave them for practically bringing out a whole marching band to sing ''Happy Birthday'' to a nearby table — what is this, freakin' Benihana?). The problem was, even after all of that, we still had about an hour to kill before the movie ended, so we hit the Barnes & Noble to waste some time. Things started off pretty grim (not to mention ironic) when my daughter brought me to the kids' section and insisted I read her — no joke — an Ice Age 2 book. It was about to get worse: As we were walking out, my wife stood frozen in utter disbelief. In front of her stood a big ''New From Jenny McCarthy'' display. Now, I know the way these things work: It's a little something called co-op advertising, which basically means that the book company pays for the prominent placement. It's not like the Barnes & Noble tastemakers (wait, is that an oxymoron?) have singled out Jenny McCarthy as being a particularly notable wordsmith. This is pay-to-play territory. But it was somewhat disturbing nonetheless. Disturbing in that it was not simply a ''From Jenny McCarthy'' sign, but a ''New From Jenny McCarthy'' sign — meaning the woman actually has a catalog of literature to choose from. She's downright prolific! After the initial shock came the stage 2 shame spiral. Believe it or not, I've actually had inquiries from publishers and agents about writing a book (maybe not particularly smart publishers and agents, but publishers and agents nonetheless), but my answer has always been, ''Don't have time, and don't have anything to say over 1,000 words that readers would find even remotely interesting.'' (And for those keeping track, yes, this column is over 1,000 words...sorry about that.) So, basically, I have motivation issues. Apparently, Jenny McCarthy does not. Apparently, it is easier for a former Playboy Playmate and MTV sidekick to crank out books than a professional, seasoned journalist. (Did you kinda chuckle when I described myself as a ''professional, seasoned journalist''? I know I did.) The point is, it's a tad humiliating.By the way, the ''new'' book being displayed was Life Laughs: The Naked Truth About Motherhood, Marriage, and Moving On, which follows in the grand footsteps of Belly Laughs: The Naked Truth About Pregnancy and Childbirth and Baby Laughs: The Naked Truth About the First Year of Mommyhood. I believe the next installment in the franchise is to be titled McCarthy Laughs: The Naked Truth About Why I Keep Insisting On Using the Word ''Naked'' In My Titles to Remind Horny Guys That I Used to Be an Annoying Playboy Pinup.I suppose for this story to have a happy ending, seeing this Jenny McCarthy display would inspire me to finally get off my tush and start coming up with the next great American novel, but truth be told, as I left the Barnes & Noble, all I could think about was sneaking back into Chevys to score some more chips.

McCarthy Dodges Carrey Questions Jenny McCarthy uncomfortably dodged questions yesterday when she was asked about her new relationship with comedian Jim Carrey while appearing on US talk show The View. The pin-up, who is known for candidly discussing divorce, childbirth and motherhood, was uncharacteristically tight-lipped about her new relationship. She said, "No comment. Does that ever work? The funny thing is I've never said it in my whole life!" The View co-hosts Star Jones and Joy Behar asked McCarthy if she could confirm that she was dating "a well-known comedian who makes funny faces who is not Jerry Lewis." McCarthy deferred and said people who were interested in who she is dating could "look it up online," hastily adding, "Let's move on to the next topic." The Truman Show star was recently spotted enjoying an intimate dinner with McCarthy on May 20 at Los Angeles hot spot M Cafe de Chaya. The celebrity couple have been romantically linked since December, but have not confirmed they are dating.

That's gotta be all him, then--he's notoriously private and won't ever talk about relationships, and most of his girlfriends don't either. Given he's so private and she's so open, doesn't sound like an ideal match to me.....

Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey Couple UpBy Bryan Alexander First came the sightings, then the rumors. Now a source close to the two finally confirms it: Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy are indeed a couple. "They are very happy," the source tells PEOPLE. But even though the pair was spotted at an L.A. restaurant last month, don’t think they’re going public. When McCarthy, 33, was asked recently on The View if she was dating a "well-known comedian who makes funny faces," she replied, “No comment. Does that ever work?" Rumors that the two were an item have been percolating since late last year. When asked by PEOPLE at the December premiere of Fun With Dick and Jane whether he was seeing McCarthy, Carrey, 44, paused before saying: "I like her, she's a nice person." Reps for both stars declined to comment. McCarthy divorced her husband of five years, director John Asher, last year. She is currently promoting her newest book, Life Laughs: The Naked Truth About Motherhood, Marriage and Moving On.

Jenny McCarthy: No Plans to Wed Jim Carrey

TUESDAY DECEMBER 05, 2006 02:20PM EST

By Stephen M. Silverman, People.com

Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey, who quietly started dating at the end of last year, plan on keeping the status quo.

"We're happy with the way things are," the 1994 Playboy Playmate of the Year tells TV's Extra. "We have no plans to get married."

The couple recently returned from Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes's wedding in Rome: "I was very happy to be there with him," McCarthy, 34, said of her Italian trip with Carrey, 44.

The romance between the two shot into public view over the summer as the rubber-faced pair stepped out everywhere from a June 16 helicopter ride in Santa Monica to a Fiona Apple concert a few days later, PEOPLE reported in July.

Holding hands at a June 29 Radiohead concert in Los Angeles, the pair "were having so much fun," said a fellow concertgoer. "It was like you were watching a romantic comedy."

The weekend of July 28, the couple stayed at the $25,000-a-night Sky Villa in Sin City's Palms Casino Resort. During their three-day getaway, they enjoyed in-room massages and hit the high-roller lounge for some blackjack.

Carrey, said a source close to him, "is very happy" about the relationship.

When celebs stay at places like that, do they actually pay for it, or does the hotel give it to them for publicity?

Probably some of both, but it doesn't matter. By all accounts, Jim Carrey is REALLY rich.

In Vegas I can pretty much guarantee that Maloof (Palms owner) is giving the room as a comp. Most of his new fancy-schmancy suites are comped only (high rollers or celebs) and not available to rent out to "mere mortals".....

From crazy days and nights

So Jenny McCarthy does not want to marry Jim Carrey. My guess is that he said he would not marry her, at least without a pre-nup so now she is saying she has always loved the Kurt Russell Goldie Hawn type relationship. Now, I love Jenny and she always cracks me up in person or when I watch her in something, but I also know she is a hopeless romantic and so we need to watch this and see what develops.

She may be sincere about not wanting to commit to marriage with him.

Like most comics, Carrey is notoriously difficult. Maybe she wants a quick exit if things get sticky.
