Star Jones

Recommended Posts

So I checked out the website that y'all have been having so much fun on... I definitely had a few laughs. I thought I'd share one of my favorite parts... as if we didn't already know how full of BS Star is, here's a blurb from her FAQ page:

What has Star been doing to lose so much weight?

Ok...now this is the question of the year.

You might have noticed that I've been losing weight in the past few months-yeah, yeah, yeah, I know all about the rumors and the gossip...well with the publication of my new book "Shine; a Physical, Emotional & Spiritual Journey to Finding Love", you will get the answers!

In "Shine", I continue to place emphasis on the goal of teaching young girls that the ideal body is a healthy one. Not one that skinny, fat, thin or thick-just healthy; and I mean physically healthy, mentally healthy and spiritually healthy!

Wow, Star. What a great ploy to get people to buy your book. And by the time they've read it from front to back looking for the answer to this question but never finding it, it's too late for them to return it and get their money back!

What a scam artist!

From Ted's Tuesday column:

Dear Ted:

I love your column! You made me laugh today when you called Al Reynolds prissy.

I'm pretty skeptical of the legal part of her resume, too. I don't want to be all, "I'm a LAWYAH! Like STAH JONES!" or anything...but I am, and I have to say that I NEVER heard of ANYONE personally prosecuting a homicide case after only THREE YEARS as a prosecutor. They tend to want someone to have, like, a LITTLE bit of experience before they move on to prosecuting, like MURDERS. My guess is that it is true that she worked in the Homicide Bureau, but she did not really prosecute any murder cases herself - she probably assisted more senior District Attorneys in doing those things in a more investigative/background way, by fetching files and doing research and investigation and such, because that's usually the kind of involvement a third-year attorney would have in a homicide case at that point. Then, she probably moved onto some kind of administrative or community outreach position (seems like those usually come with the title "Senior Assistant District Attorney"). If she was a prosecutor for 3 or 4 years, I could see her doing the sex crime case and the juvenile case that her resume mentions, but I also notice that the way her resume is written, it looks like she didn't take either of those cases to trial, but got plea bargains. (I say this because it talks about her "securing sentences" which usually means plea bargain - if you went to trial and got a jury verdict you would not say it the way she does here.)So anyway my point is just that despite the kind of sketchy way she states things in that resume, and the way she is always going on and on about her "expertise" - it definitely doesn't sound to me like she had all that much actual trial experience when she was a lawyer. And in fact it sounds to me like maybe after three years she got moved OUT of the courtroom. Sorry to get all catty, but I hate both Star Jones AND people who get sketchy on their resumes. -_- (and it also makes me feel a little better about the Brooklyn DA's office that they didn't actually position Star Jones as a high-powered lawyer...LOL.)

Excellent info, Soho. I was wondering the same thing myself...how the Brooklyn DA could STAND her and want to put her in such a "wonderful" position after such a short time. It sound fishy and it probably is. The whole friggin site is like that and it is just as appauling as she is. So, can we tell lawyer jokes to you now??? :D

"House Hunters" Gets Star (Jones) Treatment

Posted Jul 12th 2006 2:14PM by TMZ Staff

Posted Image

Star Jones didn't waste any time in her post-"View" career covering tales of the absurd and grotesque -- namely, trying to buy real estate in New York City.

Jones' first (and heretofore only) TV gig since she says she was very publicly fired from her ABC seat is as a fill-in host on Home and Garden Television's "House Hunters." The show typically follows the travails of a relatively modestly-budgeted real estate customer trying to decide between three alternatives, most of which tend to be nicer than anything your local estate agent has listed.

For this week's episodes, Star introduces the show's segments while strolling down a brownstone- and tree-lined street in Manhattan, spouting the usual cliches about New York (It never sleeps! Lots of people live here! Real estate is real expensive!) of which people from outlying states just can't seem to get enough. But we never actually get to see her interact with the little people.

Wearing a snug flowered dress and gamely smiling through her script, Star tells us that getting an apartment anywhere in New York City for $230,000, as the couple on Tuesday night's show do, is a bargain. And when she tells us that New York real estate is either "expensive," or "unbelievably expensive," she knows of what she speaks: Star put her and husband Al Reynolds' Upper East Side penthouse apartment on the market at the end of May for a not-very-bargain $2.25 million.

SEEING STARS

Page Six

July 13, 2006 -- THE Fox News Channel has no interest in hiring Star Jones, recently booted from ABC's The View, and network executives are ticked off that In Touch magazine reported they were giving Jones a job. "This is what happens when a low-rent publication like In Touch tries to break news," scoffed a Fox News flack. "It's no wonder their magazine is an industry joke."

Josie & the City

Star Jones is getting ready to fight! The ex-host of the ABC talk show The View is planning to drag Barbara Walters to court. Star is a prosecutor and seems to be more then willing to put all of her former co-workers through the ringer, including Barbara Walters. My source tells me Star intends on putting, Meredith, Joy, and Elisabeth on the stand to try to get the real story on why her contract was not renewed. Star is also planning on bringing Rosie O’Donnell in to hold her accountable for the public “smear campaign against her and her husband Al Reynolds”. A top attorney in L.A. says ABC and Barbara Walters could end up paying Star millions in lost earnings.

OBVIOUSLY SHE CAN'T MOVE ON!

uh - under what theory is she going to sue? I doubt her contract had anything in it requiring renewal! I hope she gets her ass thrown out of court and sued for filing a frivoulous lawsuit! And hopefully, loses her license to practice law in the process! Star, you suck! -_-

Could, would, should -- it will never happen. And if she isn't blackballed in the industry now, if she brings a lawsuit, she will be finished.

I don't know about NY, but California Has "at will" employment -- meaning you can fire anybody or quit anytime you like. This suit should go nowhere.

I would love to see Rosie on her blog tell Star "bring it on!>"

That court action would be fun to watch.

Generally entertainers are under contract and not actual employees. Either party is not required to renew a contract at its expiration, as in what happened with Star. ABC is no longer obliged to her.

Boy, that's smart. Having both BabaWawa and ABC/Disney against you. That's going to work out just fine in the future, say bye bye to that career of yours Star

Maybe Star Jones' people are putting supposed job offers out in hopes one will take her up on it??

Exactly, or to give the impression that plenty of others want to hire her. As for a lawsuit, is anyone the least bit surprised? This woman damaged her own reputation a long time ago. And if she sues Rosie for her remarks about her, is she also going to sue every comic and host (like Letterman and Leno) who has used her for a punch line? She's going to have alot of people to sue out there! And all she had to do was keep her mouth shut for two more days and it would have never been as bad as this. She gambled by making that early announcement and she lost. Only a ego-centric lawyer could think they could win this one. BTW, I e-mailed HGTV when I heard the news about her being on House Hunters. That is one of my favorite shows and I'll be damned if this woman ruins it for me!

Cindy Adams Column July 14

I REALIZE it's a slow summer, but we must stop already writing about where Al Reynolds' missus might next show up. At the instant of her departure there was no offer on the table, hence the orchestration of that publicity coup d'etat. Subsequently, CBS' morning show got named. They're sending word - no, nisht, nyet, non, forget it. NBC's "Today" show got mentioned. The answer for that is in two words. Im possible. Never happen. Meredith Vieira is a 100 percent no fan of Mrs. Al. Fox TV practically took out an ad on yesterday's Page Six to cry NEVERRRR! ABC? I don't think so. E-TV? She's already been there, and we don't think so. Court TV? Already been there, and nobody thinks so.Sort of only leaves the possibility of her replacing Anderson Cooper. And, now, until I, myself, am told personally by CNN's news boss Jonathan Klein that I am to be named Anderson Cooper's permanent replacement with a 40-year contract plus options, this is my very final last word on Al's wife.

OH NO, Star has nowhere else to go! Too bad, so sad. Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish, as we used to say. Maybe Al will have to get a job as a gay escort or something? Or Star can go back to the Brooklyn DA's office, where they obviously loved her to pieces.

I just saw a couple minutes of Access Hollywood weekend & they were talking about Star Jones getting fired. Her response as to why she put the e-mail addresses of Barbara Walters & the producers of the View on her website: Several thousand visitors came onto the website & wanted to know the addresses so they could complain about Star getting fired.

Anyone watch the tv show The Soup where they talk trash about other TV shows? Great stuff, catch it if you can. I kinda have a crush on the host :DAnyway, they showed clips of Star the day before she announced she was leaving. The topic was how to deal when a women boss fires you or something like that. The look on Star's face was priceless :D

Defamer is reporting (via MediaTakeOut) that Big Gay Al has been suspiciously sighted at a divorce lawyer's office. Given Ted Casablanca's BI (Quelle Surprise), it seems Star's star continues to fall!

MediaTakeOut.com is reporting that husband Al Reynolds was spotted slinking into the offices of a prominent New York divorce attorney:

Last week Al Reynolds visited the offices of the divorce law firm Blank Rome LLP in New York's Chrysler building. MediaTakeOut.com spoke exclusively with a building employee who first noticed Star's soon-to-be-ex. According to the witness, "Al walked up to the security desk and signed in to visit [one of the Blank Rome's divorce lawyers] Stanford Lotwin." [...]

After remaining upstairs for nearly two hours, Al tried to quietly sneak out of the building. But before he could leave, the witness tells MediaTakeOut.com, "I walked up to him and said 'Al, is that you', and Al ran out of the building - almost knocking over a pregnant woman."

Tuesday, July 25, 2006Gay Al Visits a Divorce Lawyer The fairy tale (and by fairy I mean Gay Al) of Star Jones and Al Reynolds may be coming to an end very soon. Gay Al was recently spotted visiting a very high-profile divorce lawyer in Manhattan.Last week Al Reynolds visited the offices of the divorce law firm Blank Rome LLP in New York's Chrysler building. MediaTakeOut.com spoke exclusively with a building employee who first noticed Star's soon-to-be-ex. According to the witness, "Al walked up to the security desk and signed in to visit [one of the Blank Rome's divorce lawyers] Stanford Lotwin."Mr. Lotwin is one of the most prominent divorce attorney's in New York. He worked on the high-profile divorces of Howard Stern, Donald Trump, Geraldo Rivera and Diana Ross. After remaining upstairs for nearly two hours, Al tried to quietly sneak out of the building. But before he could leave, the witness tells MediaTakeOut.com, "I walked up to him and said 'Al, is that you', and Al ran out of the building - almost knocking over a pregnant woman." Both Gay Al and the divorce lawyers have denied any of this is true.I've said time and time again this isn't how it's gonna go down! Gay Al is supposed to get caught taking it like a squealing pig by a leather daddy at the rambles in Central Park. Seriously, when will the media figure this out?

They've been dogged by divorce rumors for weeks now, and despite dismissal of such talk by her publicist, it seems that Star Jones may finally be calling it quits with Big Gay Al.

Starzilla has been telling friends that her marriage is about to fade out, reports the NY Post's Braden Keil reports.

"Reality has finally caught up with them," says a friend of the pair.

"She's heartbroken over the turn of events," said another pal. "She really wanted it to work, and she thought it just might work, but in the end, it just wasn't going to happen. Star has resigned herself to the fact that they're not going to spend the rest of their lives together."

This is so sad.

We never saw this coming!

Well, I am SHOCKED, to say the Least. Such a NORMAL, MONOGAMOUS, HETEROSEXUAL couple
